John 14 : Jesus says “don’t let your hearts be troubled”

Jesus knows how a troubled heart hurts and cripples. He addressed and settled this mental health issue in John 14 and 16.
He knew how His disciples and followers would feel during the forthcoming shocking and soul shattering event when they saw Him taken away from them.
Separation, loss, having to let go, often cause anger, denial, fear, hurt, grief, loss of enthusiasm for day to day life, inertia.
Depression manifests some of these feelings and mood.
Mental health in the past tried to use medicine and therapy to help coping with the symptoms.
Jesus instead spoke of a healed condition.
What is the key to a healed condition? What does Jesus say?
We read the following verses to get the answer:
14:1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in Me.”
14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
16:33 “I have told you all these so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. ”
——-
Summary :
1. Trust Jesus.
2. He has given us His supernatural power of peace.
3. The world has many trials and sorrows. But when we remain in Jesus, we become more than conquerors. Why? Because Jesus has already overcome the world.
