Luke 6:43-49 Jesus speaks of the healed foundation

Jesus speaks of the healed condition. Both physical and mental health involve inner healing.
“A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.” (Luke 6:43) The symptoms of illness are fruits. Jesus specifically warns of these:
1. A connection between the soul (the mind and emotion) and the word we speak;
2. A connection between the word we speak and the symptoms we present.
Jesus also continues to teach us how to overcome this problem with our soul (mind and emotions).
Healing is like construction. God’s Word is the best building materials. After we listen and understand we still need to build.
Building involves action.
Listening and believing open our heart to receive the healing given by Jesus. To maintain and sustain the healed condition requires our active participation.
Jesus has given the foundation materials and we need to always apply them: to hold fast to the faith that Jesus has given.
In practice it means we continue to believe by faith, living in accordance to the healed foundation.
Faith comes from hearing of the words of God. (Romans 10:17).
The healed testimonies of many testify that they consistently maintain a close relationship with God in their moment to moment living, through listening, meditating, and keeping the words of God in their whole being (spirit, soul and body).
Jesus says: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. ” (John 6:63)
Both mental and physical health issues require the same building process. The transformation in the spirit.

Luke 6:46-49 New Living Translation (NLT)
Building on a Solid Foundation
46 “So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? 47 I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. 48 It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. 49 But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
