What does Jesus say about sin?

One hindrance to having our mind healed is an evil conscience.  The enemy uses this common strategy to attack the mind. To overcome him we need to renew our mind.
God’s words renew our mind.
John chapter 8 deals with this subject of sin in several aspects.
Adultery issue:
3-11 When Jesus was teaching a crowd at the temple, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery and questioned Jesus what to do.
“The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They kept demanding an answer.
They were trying to trap him saying something they could use against him.
Here are the three  sentences Jesus spoke: To the accusers, He said,
“All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”
(They all left.)
To the woman He said, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”
“Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
This episode tells us the following truth:
1. Everyone has sinned and we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.(Romans 3:23)
2. God condemns all sins. No favoritism. No exception. (Romans 6:23)
3. Jesus is the only one to whom God has given the authority to judge and condemn or acquit.
4. God sent Jesus to come as a human not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:17)
God has dealt with the sin issue through Jesus:
Romans 3:22-24
22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Romans 6:22-23
22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Back to what Jesus said in John 8. Jesus warns the unbelievers:
1. Jesus does not judge by human standards (no double standards). He follows God’s standards. (8:15-16)
2. People will die in their sins unless they believe that Jesus is who He claims to be. (8:23-24),(John3:18)
Jesus speaks to the believers about freedom from sin.
8:31-32 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
34 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. 35 A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.
~~~Finally, we have in us the power of the Holy Spirit which has freed us.
Romans 8:2 And because you belong to Him, the power of the life giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
Romans 8:6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
