What Jesus says about Himself ? “Come and see!”

We read from the testimony and record of John today about who Jesus says He is.

“What do you want?” Jesus asks. (1:38) “Come and see,” (1:39)

He calls God His Father. (2:16)

He calls  His body ‘temple’ (2:19)

He came down from heaven. (3:13)

He is God’s one and only Son. (3:18)

Everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. God sent Jesus (His Son) into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. (3:15:17)

Jesus can give every human being who believes in Him, living water (the Holy Spirit), giving us eternal life. (4:10, 14; 7:38-39; 14:15-17; 15:26)

God has given Him life giving power and authority to judge everyone. (5:26, 27)

His teachings and His miracles proved that God sent Him. (5:36)

The Scriptures (Bible) pointed to Jesus. (5:39)

Jesus is the true bread of life from heaven. (6:33, 35, 51)

His messages come from God. (7:16)

He came from God and has returned to God. (7:29, 33-34)

He is the light of the world. (8:12; 9:5)

He is from above, and does not believe to this world. (8:23)

He described Himself as “I AM” (a title of God) (8:24, 28, 58)

He is the gate for everyone to enter eternal life (including a rich, satisfying, abundant life on earth) with God. (10:6-10)

He is the resurrection and the life. (11:25)

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, to God. (14:6)

He is the true grapevine and the believers are the branches, and God is the gardener. (15:1)

Jesus has a Kingdom, far above this earthly kingdom. (18:36)

Revelation 22:12-13, 16 New Living Translation (NLT) What Jesus says about Himself: 

12 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne.[a] I am the bright morning star.”
