Grace Encounters DVD
This package includes the Grace Encounters DVD—five stories of people who encountered grace in such an extraordinary way, their lives were changed forever. These stories include:
Two women with backgrounds of legalism and spiritual abuse were set free by the power of God.
A person walked away from a history of drug abuse through discovering how good God is.
A man in prison encountered God in a way that set him on a path to freedom and victory.
A couple who felt “unusable” by the Lord was so impacted by grace that it transformed them and sent them into the heart of Africa to set captives free.
This package will help you understand what the Bible says about God’s nature and love for you. Be inspired to have your own grace encounter with God.
“Most Christians have a disease which can be fatal if not treated. It is spread through close contact with religion and is highly contagious. This disease makes the individual see everything backwards. Instead of God’s love compelling them to live holy, they think living holy will cause God to love them. This causes chronic fatigue and frustration from trying to give what they haven’t received. Discover the joy of knowing we are already loved by God.” (Andrew Wommack)
Spiritual Fitness 26th February (from Andrew Wommack’s Daily Devotional)
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Is Jesus advocating dismembering of our bodies? Quite the contrary. He is drawing on the universal drive within every person of self preservation to make a point. If you value your body highly enough that you would never sacrifice one of its parts, then you should esteem your spiritual well being much higher.
Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve, man’s priorities have been misplaced. Great effort is put into preserving our physical life while our spiritual condition is often overlooked. It constantly gets put on the “back burner” while we tend to more urgent matters of this life.
Yet our physical bodies are just temporary. If we live 70 years or more, that is just a fraction of a second in the light of eternity. Our spiritual man lives forever. The state in which it exists is determined by choices made in this life.
Therefore, choose to make your spiritual condition your top priority. Spend more time on your spiritual well being than you do your physical well being. You and everyone around you will be eternally grateful that you did.

I have decided to share this letter as I have subscribed and partnered with Charis Bible College World Outreach. By faith I decided sowing the seed of a mere $30 a month. What is a $30 to you? To a person not living in a developed world it could mean a lot. By faith I am also a registered first year correspondence student with the Charis Bible College through one of their overseas branches. I agreed with Andrew that “Decisions Determine Destiny”. I was born again in 1983 and for twenty years I tried to read the Bible and live the Bible way. I invested a fortune in buying many costly reference and commentary books from many theologians before I heard of Andrew’s free teaching. Despite the good intention and my zeal to serve God and live a better life (more abundant life) I increasingly realized that my discipleship ministry had no power and the word taught to me had no reality as they were mere words (in black and white letters). Finally I decided to listen to the free audio teachings of Andrew, which someone gave me around 2003 and the truth of the Gospel of Christ with special emphasis on God’s unconditional love and the balance between grace and faith has changed my destiny. The difference is obvious. Andrew teaches the Word differently. The powerful change to my way of thinking has changed my life. The Word becomes life and spirit to me. My God is now real. My life and ministry have been transformed. What happened? My mind has been renewed. The change is significant. I thank the Lord now for the divine appointment without which I would have missed out my true destiny. Andrew’s vision forty years ago has in turn birthed many others’ (including mine).
~~~~~~~~~Here is Andrew’s letter~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m sure you’ve heard the statement “Life is a series of choices.” To some, that’s too simple, but it really is true. Your decisions determine your destiny.
Jamie and I recently took a vacation. We didn’t get in the car and just go in any direction; we had a goal, and every turn we took was calculated to help us reach our destination. We checked the map often and made a few adjustments when we missed a turn. We didn’t do it perfectly, but we got to where we wanted to go, because of decisions.
Likewise, you make decisions every day that move you closer to your God-ordained destiny—or away from it. There is no such thing as just sitting still or putting God’s plan for your life on hold. That’s a deception. God’s will for you is intertwined with His will for others, and that is a constantly moving and changing dynamic. It’s like catching a flight. You can miss it.
It’s true that the Lord can get you to your destiny another way. He’s certainly smarter than a GPS device that “recalculates” when you miss a turn. There is always a later flight with God. But who wants the hassle, disappointment, and delay that comes with missing a connection? I want God’s best. Don’t you?
When you are on a road trip, those who are ahead of you can be valuable sources of information. It doesn’t matter how you feel about them personally. The fact that they have already driven the road gives them insights that you need. They can tell you what accommodations and restaurants are available. Or they can let you know of a wreck or construction ahead and then advise an alternate route. You would be foolish not to draw on the insights of others who have gone before you.
With that in mind, we have put together a number of what we call Destiny Stories. These are the stories of individuals who have made choices that changed their lives for the better. They are people just like you, with challenges, failures, pasts, and even successes that stood in the way of them following God’s will for their lives. But with a few good decisions, they made their lives count.
Take, for instance, Kevin and Rachel Dowling. They were living on the streets of New York. Homeless and helpless, they were dope addicts with no good future. But through a woman at one of the soup kitchens they frequented, they found the Lord and His love. Five years later, they were free from dope, but still lacked direction for their lives. They decided to come to Charis Bible College (CBC) in Colorado Springs, and everything began to change.
Not only have they been set free from the feelings of unworthiness and shame that dominated their lives, but now they are bringing others into their newfound freedom. The ones who used to sleep in cardboard boxes and eat out of trash cans are now providing food and the Gospel to thousands of other people who need a new destination.
Or take Leland Shores, who was a successful businessman in Dallas, Texas. While he lay on the floor, nearly choking to death on a sandwich, his life flashed before him, and he knew that all of his “successes” were worth nothing. When he recovered, he made the decision to sell everything he had and dedicate his life to the Lord.
That one decision led Leland to CBC and eventually Africa, where he helped establish the Discipleship Evangelism course, which has now reached nearly 500,000 people. Leland also established the AWM bookstore in downtown Kampala, Uganda, where hundreds of people have been born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit. If that weren’t enough, Leland started CBC-Uganda, with over 100 students who are changing Uganda.
Leland died unexpectedly in June 2011, but in the eleven years since he made the decision to make his life count for the Lord, he did more than most people do in a lifetime. And because Leland’s emphasis was on discipleship, his disciples are continuing the work he began. Numerous people have been raised from the dead through those Leland reached. Disciples are ministering on the radio daily, and others are holding crusades with signs and wonders. Leland’s impact is just beginning.
Carrie Pickett is a young woman who came to our college fresh out of high school. She had known that the Lord had a call on her life since she was a little girl, but she was transformed by the Word and her missions trip to Russia. God put a love in her heart that she has been following for the last thirteen years in Russia.
Some would think of all that Carrie gave up to go to Russia. She’s an attractive young lady who put her personal desires for a family on the altar to serve the Lord. But God had the perfect husband for Carrie—in Russia. She would have missed him if she hadn’t followed the Lord to the ends of the earth. Now she and her husband, Mike, have a beautiful daughter, Elliana.
Their lives are making a big impact. They not only have established a CBC in St. Petersburg, but they also have a goal of starting 1,000 new Bible colleges in the next five years and are well on their way to seeing the completion of that vision. They were also responsible for getting my books and television broadcasts translated into Russian. Through their efforts, the Gospel Truth television broadcast now reaches 160 million homes in Russia every weekday across eleven time zones. They also direct our AWM-Russia office, which ministers to thousands of Russian-speaking people throughout the world.
What would all of these people’s lives have been like if they hadn’t made the decisions they did? An even greater question might be, what would the lives of the millions of people they’ve affected have been like without them? Every one of us has a God-ordained destiny that is designed to touch others. We are carrying other people’s miracles. I don’t think we can fully comprehend this. It is certain, however, that the lives of millions of people were changed simply because these “heroes of the faith” made the right decisions.
Are you certain that the decisions you are making every day are the ones the Lord wants you to make? If you can’t answer that affirmatively, then what is stopping you? Most people don’t intentionally decide to miss their destinies; they just get busy with the cares of this life, and before they know it, they are in a rut that they can’t seem to get out of.
But remember, your life is the result of choices—YOUR choices. Others can influence or hinder you, but your choices are the determining factor of your destiny. It is never too late to make the right choices.
My spiritual life started with making a choice. I had been seeking to know the Lord’s will for my life when He directed me to Romans 12:1-2, which says,
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
He showed me His will for my life was to be completely committed to Him. That’s the main thing. I was only seventeen years old at the time, but I started seeking to become a living sacrifice to the Lord with all my heart.
That decision led to a miraculous encounter with the Lord on March 23, 1968, when God revealed Himself to me in a way that changed my life forever. I have never been, and will never be, the same. I made an absolute and complete, unconditional surrender to the Lord that has propelled me to the life I live today. I’ve made thousands of decisions since then, but the decision to unconditionally follow God’s will for my life started it all.
The fact that you are receiving this letter is the result of decisions made by you and me. I decided to follow the Lord and teach His Word, and you decided to contact us in response to something He spoke to you through me. Our lives have been connected because of decisions. Decisions determine destiny.
My study of the Word of God has been the single most influential force on my decisions. God’s Word is a light to our path (Ps. 119:105). It’s like I explained in my book Effortless Change, all we really have to do is put the seed of God’s Word in our hearts, and it will change us effortlessly. That’s how God established His kingdom.
Charis Bible Colleges are changing the lives of thousands of people through the ministry of God’s Word. We now have about 2,000 people involved in correspondence courses, online Bible courses, and our eighteen campuses. But we are reaching the limits of the number of people we can accommodate here at our campus in Colorado Springs.
As you know, I saw this coming, and the Lord directed me to start preparing for a Bible college campus where we could train at least 3,000 people. We purchased 157 acres in 2009 and just got released from some legal issues in June 2011. We are now in the final stages of getting all the work permits. It might be possible to break ground in November, but with the weather in Colorado, that could be tough.
I’ve decided to have a groundbreaking on March 23, 2012, the forty-fourth anniversary of my miraculous encounter with the Lord. That is the night I made a decision that has led me to this place. I think that beginning date is providential.
I encourage you to go to our website and view the special live-streaming internet broadcast I did back in July. I fully discussed where we are in the process of building this Bible college campus and where we are going with it. I also asked that you help me make another decision.
Our CBC campus will have two main buildings. Together they will give us 220,000 square feet of space to train the men and women who will be world changers. That’s twice the space we now occupy, and there is plenty of room for expansion if needed. But constructing these buildings is costly. Therefore, I am currently in the process of making a decision on whether I should build one building as a first step or build both of these buildings at the same time.
I’ve decided the Lord wants me to do this debt free. I’ve witnessed other ministries make decisions that put them under financial pressure, and it changed their ministries. I’ve decided not to do this. These buildings are just tools. I think they are necessary tools and I’m following the direction the Lord has given me, but I’m happy and blessed without them. Regardless of how long it takes or if I never see the building of this campus come to pass, I will still be blessed and in love with the Lord. I will not put this ministry in a bind for buildings.
Therefore, I am asking those whom God has joined to Jamie and my heart to help me decide how to approach this. I haven’t got the money to pay for this out of my pocket, and I’m not taking out a loan. I need to ask what you are willing to do. You are God’s bank.
To build the smaller structure would take 6,100 new Foundation Builder Partners averaging $60 per month for twenty-eight months. This half of the campus includes a 1,500-seat auditorium upstairs, a 500-seat auditorium, and twenty-three classrooms downstairs.
If I also build the 2,500-seat auditorium with all the offices and Phone Center at the same time, I would have to have 16,668 new Foundation Builder Partners for thirty-six months to complete the whole project.
I know these numbers may seem overwhelming, but if you look at this from the viewpoint of how many people we are reaching, this is an attainable goal. There are 86,000 people receiving this letter. A $14.63 gift per month from everyone for thirty-six months would pay for this whole project, debt free. When you factor in that millions of people watch my program daily, this becomes nothing. All things are possible with God (Mark 9:23).
I ask you to simply pray about this and do whatever the Lord leads you to do. I would remind you that I am in the process of making a decision on how to approach this project. It’s important to me that you let me know in the next month or two what the Lord is leading you to do. I must decide whether to build just one building or both of these buildings simultaneously. I will have to give direction to my builder by January 1.
On July 28, I broadcast, via the internet, a special video message talking about our progress on the development of The Sanctuary project thus far and the steps we will be taking in the near future. Please take the time to go to our website to listen to this message, and then watch the virtual tour. I know it will bless and encourage you.
Decisions do determine destiny, but those decisions must be based on the truth of the Word. It was the Word of God that changed my life, and it will change your life as well. To help you, I have spent years developing a study of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). It became the first edition of what we call the Life for Today Study Bible and Commentary.
In this Life for Today Study Bible: The Gospels Edition, I have arranged the four Gospels in parallel and chronological order. It makes it very easy to compare what each of the Gospels say about specific events in the life of Jesus. In addition, I also recorded an audio verse-by-verse teaching to accompany it. Previously this was only available through partnership, but it is now available as a standalone resource.
It includes the Life for Today Study Bible and Commentary: The Gospels Edition and over fifty-five hours of verse-by-verse teaching and commentary loaded onto one simple USB card as MP3 audio. In the old CD format, it required over seventy CDs. This study Bible and audio teaching together is valued at $600, but I am offering it for a gift of $155 or more.
I also encourage you to order our Destiny Stories DVD for a gift of $15 or more even if you do not become a Foundation Builder. Each story will encourage you to make the decision that will move you toward your own destiny.
The Lord has awesome things planned for your life. Regardless of what things look like now, your positive decisions can change everything.
Living in God’s Best: Change your address and live in God’s best!
Divine health and prosperity are better than divine healing and provision. If you can’t see the difference between the two, then maybe you’re only visiting God’s best instead of truly living in it.
Many Christians live in a place where it’s just a matter of time before there’s a crisis in their lives and they need a miracle. Miracles are great when you need one, but you weren’t meant to continually get by on them. God wants to change where you live. Let Andrew show you how to live in God’s best today!
LIVING in God’s Best by Andrew Wommack
Don’t Settle for Less
I have been meditating on this teaching for several years now, and I believe the Lord wants me to share it in a much bigger way than I have before. It’s about living in God’s best.
The Lord has really impressed on me that the main reason we aren’t living in His best is because we are willing to settle for less. Sometimes we are influenced more by the world than by God’s Word. We have been “dumbed down” to accept far less than what God has provided. As long as we can live with less than God’s best, we will.
If you’re not experiencing His best, you have to get sick and tired of being sick and tired. You have to have a holy dissatisfaction with mediocrity before you can experience all that God has for you. It doesn’t happen accidentally or automatically. If you don’t aggressively pursue it, you won’t get it.
Everything in our fallen world naturally goes from good to bad. Things don’t get better without effort. We have to seek to find, knock to get the door opened, and ask before we receive (Matt. 7:7). We must raise our sights and aim higher. Most people are shooting at nothing and hitting it every time.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” The New International Version says His thoughts “give you hope and a future.”
When the Lord spoke to Jeremiah to write these words, Israel was devastated. The city
of Jerusalem had been destroyed, and many people had been taken captive to Babylon.
Thoughts of peace were probably the last thing on their minds.
But Jeremiah went on to say in verses 12-13,
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will
hearken unto you.  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall
search for me with all your heart.
I’ve had people tell me they prayed and believed God, but nothing happened. These scriptures in Jeremiah promise otherwise. The key is, you have to seek with ALL your heart. That’s the missing element. You have to reach a point where you won’t live with anything less than God’s best.
This attitude is missing in the lives of far too many Christians. The bar of expectation has been lowered in regards to healing, finances, and more. I am not trying to condemn anyone. We have all been raised in and influenced by an ungodly culture. And nobody learns how to receive God’s best overnight. It’s a process, but we need to begin moving in that direction. I haven’t arrived there either, but I have left and am on my way.
I have told this story before, but it is such a good illustration that I want to share it again. A man asked for prayer in one of my meetings and told me about a terrible pain in his neck, in addition to a long list of other problems: his sciatic nerve causing leg and foot pain, neuropathy, and on and on.
Then he said, “But if God could just heal the pain in my neck, I could live with the rest.” I said, “Well, I understand. If we asked God to heal all of those things at once, the lights in heaven might dim. I’m not sure God could pull that off.”
The guy just looked at me for a minute and then replied, “That was pretty stupid, wasn’t it?” And I agreed. You see, we don’t have to settle for less than complete healing–God’s best. Like this man, it’s that attitude that keeps people from receiving their healings.
Christians should be walking in supernatural healing and financial prosperity. Many, however, are just as sick and broke as their unsaved neighbors. You will never receive God’s best until you become completely dissatisfied with second best–dissatisfied with mediocrity.
One of these days, we are all going to stand before God. And when we do, we will know all things even as we are known (1 Cor. 13:12). In an instant, we are going to know what we could have had while on this earth. We will understand that the same power that raised Christ from the dead was present within us all along (Eph. 1:18-20).
Unless you’re willing to stand and fight the fight of faith, you will be overcome by this world. If you don’t stir yourself up, you will settle to the bottom. The world isn’t going to encourage you toward God’s best, and most Christians aren’t either.
We have to recognize that it’s all about receiving what God has already done and not about getting God to do something He has yet to do. We don’t need God to heal us; by His stripes, we were healed (1 Pet. 2:24). That miraculous healing power is already in us. We don’t need God to move; we need to believe what He has already done and then learn how to receive it.
I want to encourage you to live in God’s best. I’ve written a new book filled with truths that can change the results you’re seeing in your life. For information on how to get your copy, go to http://www.LivingInGodsBest.com.
The Mullins Family Story. When the Mullins’ 17-month-old son was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, their lives were turned upside down. See how God’s word transformed the Mullins’ lives. (Excerpts quoted from the original website)
– Amazed By Grace –
Mike and Aster Mullins live with their family in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, Ireland, the home of the famous hymn, Amazing Grace. In September of 2009, they welcomed their fourth son into the world. Their new baby, Andrew, was the Mullins’ fifth child, and from the beginning, Aster considered him her victory baby.
In December 2010, Mike and Aster noticed something was bothering Andrew…
On February 25, 2011 the Mullins were told that Andrew had a very aggressive form of cancer called, High Risk Neuroblastoma. He was already at stage four and had a tumor measuring 7cm x 8cm x 21cm. Andrew was just 17 months old.
The Mullins, stunned by the news, found their lives turned upside down…Bone marrow tests and further, more invasive, scanning of Andrew’s body revealed that he had over 90% cancer in his bone marrow, and that the disease was in every bone of his body apart from his hands and his feet.
As they turned to the God they knew for help, they began to pray and plead for healing. In an effort to mobilize as many people as possible to pray for his son, Mike immediately set up a Facebook page for Andrew. The page brought nearly 5000 people together to “storm heavens gates” on Andrew’s behalf. Their battle raged…
Among the mail the family received after Grace’s birth, was a parcel which included Andrew Wommack’s teaching series, God Wants You Well. “The title, funny enough, really didn’t do it for me at all. At the time I was so raw, I thought, yeah right, what do I have to do for that?” recalled Aster. She and Mike put the teaching on a shelf—literally—for months.
…but after nearly six months of rigorous cancer treatment, and thousands of prayers and prayer meetings, Andrew’s progress was slower than expected, …they thought. “Do I have to beg God to have mercy on my child? Do I, as a human being, have more compassion than God does,” Mike wondered. Their prayer life changed at that point, from prayers begging God to help, to prayers asking God to teach them to pray.
Both Aster and Mike were exhausted…Mike, as tired and frustrated as he was, didn’t want to be in survival mode, he wanted to be in more-than-a-conqueror-mode. He also wanted to know what the Bible had to say about healing. It was at this low point, …that they finally listened to the first disk of the God Wants You Well series. Something in the message resonated deep within their hearts. “Wow, water to my parched, parched, dried out soul,” Aster declared.
“Although we had never heard this before, it was as if we had,” said Mike with regard to Andrew’s teaching. As the two listened and re-listened to the series they became convinced that it is always God’s will to heal and that He did want their son well. “We don’t have to storm Heaven’s gates, God is not the oppressor, nor was He using Andrew’s sickness to teach us a lesson,” realized Mike. They continued downloading and listening to Andrew’s teaching, and they were transformed by rightly discerning the Word of God.
God used Andrew’s teaching to point the Mullins back to His Word where they found promises to stand on for their son’s healing. “We found promises in the Word of God, such as in the book of Proverbs (15:30) where it says good news brings health to your bones.” said Mike.
After their eyes were opened to the Truth, they went to their son, and laid their hands on him with confident expectation. “We put our hands on his thigh bones and his pelvis and we said, ‘Bones, we’ve got good news for you, By His stripes you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). And in faith, with a total conviction in my heart, we spoke that Bible verse standing on the Word of God,” said Aster.
After their prayer, Andrew was tested to see if he had made any progress. To the hospital staff’s surprise, he had. The Mullins’ consultant called and she said, “I don’t know how to tell you this, but everything regarding Andrew is up in the air.” To which Mike inquired, “Is it up in the air good or up in the air bad? She said, “It’s up in the air good. Every one of Andrew’s bones are completely clean of cancer… We really didn’t expect this.”
While the news was unexpected by the doctors, it wasn’t a surprise to the Mullins. “We had learned how to pray with authority, and it worked,” said Mike.
Andrew still had active cancer near his spine, and due to its location, it was inoperable. As Andrew went in for continued treatment, Aster asked the Lord for something more. After the victory in Andrew’s bones, she felt they were finished using scriptures about bones—she asked the Lord for another weapon.
Faithful as always, the Lord showed Aster the story of Ehud (Judges 3:12-25). Through this passage, Aster saw her weapon revealed; …After treatment, when Andrew was tested again for cancer, and for any damage caused by the treatment, his results came back perfect; there was no sign of cancer or damage to any of his organs. His eyesight, hearing, heart, lungs and both kidneys were perfect.
The Mullins chose to believe what they had learned from Andrew Wommack, the truth about God—that it is always His will to heal—always…
(quoted) James Robison recently discussed the 2016 Presidential election with evangelist Andrew Wommack:
James Robison: Andrew, your leadership role is greater now than it’s ever been. I really appreciated you sharing on your television program your wise and legitimate concern not only for our nation, but for freedom. Why do you feel so compelled to try to impress upon Christians the importance of this particular time and election?
Andrew Wommack: I think if Christians would have been vocal a long time ago, we wouldn’t even be in this situation. This situation is not just a Democrat or Republican issue; it’s an issue that has been brooding for a generation at least of the church being silent. I felt impressed that as a leader in the body of Christ I must encourage Christians to get out and vote. Then we also highlighted some of the issues. For example, I think whether you like the candidate or not, there are important issues such as the Supreme Court. We’re going to establish the Supreme Court for the next generation whether it’s liberal or whether it’s conservative. Issues about Israel — pro-Israel or against it. All of the issues regarding ISIS and people coming into our borders. We are really fighting for our nation. This is a pivotal election.
Robison: The differences in the two platforms are distinct. This is the most conservative platform one party has ever put forth, and the most liberal, anti-God ever put forth by the other. The right to life, Supreme Court, attack on freedom of religion, the whole tendency to teach people to depend on the federal government like it’s another Pharaoh and they can’t make it without him — that totally flies in the face of everything biblical and everything that has proven catastrophic historically.
Wommack: After those programs aired, the Trump campaign contacted me because we pointed out the exact things you are saying. They wanted me to endorse Donald Trump and I told them, “Look, it’s not that I am endorsing this person and all he does. I am endorsing the policies that he has vocally stood for. In my way of thinking there is no other stance that a Christian can take. Just like you’re saying one platform is anti-God, and the other one, at least the platform, has conservative values. We are all disappointed in the way politicians say one thing and do another, but you certainly don’t want to go with someone who is promising they are going to do everything against the Christian community.
We need to get to where we don’t let our personal offenses at some things overshadow the issues. The issues are critical and they are daylight and dark different between the Democrat and Republican parties.
Robison: I think the real issue is whether or not the church is going to behave like a healthy body of Christ, submitted to the head, rightly connected to one another, and whether or not we’re going to look like the family of the perfect Father that the fatherless world desperately needs to see.
One of the things that Christians tend to say is, “Your way of saying you are wrong needs to be said according to our dictates, our impression or our spiritual knowledge.” David really wept, broken and contrite, but he didn’t do it until Nathan pointed his finger in his face. It took a long time for him to get around to the contrition that in our eyes is so appropriate. But we don’t see that in Simon Peter after he denied Jesus three items. I don’t see him saying, “I’m sorry. I was wrong.” He said, “You know …” Of course we sense in that brokenness. And then he had an encounter with God and was the keynote speaker at Pentecost. I don’t think many church leaders today would have approved Simon Peter for the keynote address at Pentecost right after his denial.
Wommack: It’s not just a personality issue. You’ve got to look at the issues. The issues the Republicans are standing for line up with scripture, and the issues the Democrats are for are not according to scripture. I am not voting for a pastor in chief, I’m voting for a commander in chief. Trump has taken a strong stand against ISIS, and I believe his point that ISIS wouldn’t have existed without Hillary’s help. I believe that’s all true. I’m having to vote the issues, not a personality.
Robison: We don’t seem to realize there is more to it than personalities. For me, I won’t let up speaking the truth to whoever is elected. I am going to keep holding up the standard of God to all of them and I’m going to say to all of America, we’ve got to quit supporting these things that are absolutely certain to bring judgment and destruction on the people that support deception and the murder of the innocent, the casting aside of marriage, family and human sexuality. How can the church even be arguing among themselves when the issues are so serious?
Wommack: You would have thought after they brought up the videos that showed babies having their skulls cut open and their brains harvested to sell would have caused such an uproar that anyone who supported that would not be able to run for president, yet Hillary has supported that and we’ve got to take a stand against it.
Robison: The real key is whether we as Christians, and especially Christian leaders and pastors, are going to stop judging one another’s actions when we don’t even know all of the details. Just like one of the candidates said, “I would like to have wise spiritual counsel from leaders who are not agreeing to endorse me, but who will tell me the truth.” It looks like you would not be criticizing those people who said, “We want to go in and speak the truth as much as possible.” I’ve been talking to Mr. Trump head on and sowing faithfully the truth of God’s Word. I am sowing seed and trusting God that His Word won’t return void. Yet it seems like people who are praying with him and for him are being accused of supporting the wrong person while we’re doing nothing but proclaiming the truth. How do you feel about that?
Wommack: The same thing has happened to me and people have criticized me about it. I fought in Vietnam and there were people that behind the scenes I didn’t agree with on much of anything. Many of them had views that were completely opposite mine, but when we were in battle, we stood next to each other and fought together. I learned you do not have to like a person to be able to endorse them and stand with them when they are fighting evil. That’s what we’ve got to do in this election.
Why are your prayers for healing not answered? How to receive healing through proclaiming the words of God? How long will it take for you to be fully restored to health? I listened to this series recently and found that the teaching is relevant for us today. I have included an article here so you have some ideas on the teaching. I have also included three audio MP3 links at the end of this blog. Do download and listen. There are important revelations. KNOW THE POWER OF GOD’S WORDS.
Psalm 89:34 New King James Version (NKJV)
My covenant I will not break,
Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.
A Better Way To Pray by Andrew Wommack
Decades ago, I was participating in an all-night prayer meeting bombarding the gates of heaven. I remember beating the wall and yelling, “God, if You loved the people in Arlington, Texas, half as much as I do, we’d have revival!” Immediately, my lightning-fast mind realized that something was seriously wrong with my theology. What was I thinking?
Did I really believe I loved these people more than God did? No, not exactly. Like many Christians, I believed God was angry with the human condition, and it was up to me to turn Him from wrath and judgment. I was interceding, or so I thought, pleading with God on the behalf of others. What could possibly be wrong with that? As I learned later, a lot.
The things the Lord has revealed to me about prayer since then have totally changed my life, and I’m now seeing miraculous results. If you aren’t getting the results you know the Lord wants you to have, maybe it’s time to consider a better way to pray. I’m not saying that anyone who doesn’t pray as I do is “of the devil.” I wasn’t “of the devil” in the way I used to pray. I loved God with all my heart, and the Lord loved me. But the results weren’t there.
First, we need to recognize that God isn’t angry at mankind anymore. He is no longer imputing or holding our sins against us.
God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:19
We are NOW reconciled to God through Jesus. That means we are in harmony and are friendly with God right now. He isn’t mad; He’s not even in a bad mood. The war between God and man is over. That’s what the angels proclaimed at the birth of Jesus.
Luke 2:14 says—
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
These angels weren’t saying that peace would reign on earth and that wars between people would cease. That certainly hasn’t happened. They were proclaiming the end of war between God and man. Jesus paid a price that was infinitely greater than the sins of the whole human race.
God’s wrath and justice have been satisfied. Jesus changed everything. God isn’t angry. His mercy extends to all people. He loves the world— not just the church— but the whole world. He paid for all sin.
The Scripture says in 1 John 2:2—
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
In the Old Testament, God’s judgment was poured out on both individuals and nations. In the New Testament, God’s judgment was poured out on Jesus. That is the nearly-too-good-to-be-true news of the Gospel. We no longer get what we deserve; we get what Jesus paid the price for, if we will only believe.
Before I understood this, I would say, “If God doesn’t judge America, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” Now I say, “If God judges America, He will have to apologize to Jesus.” Understanding what Jesus did completely changes our perspective.
Second, Jesus is now the Mediator. A mediator is one who seeks to reconcile, or make peace between, two opposing parties. In the Old Testament, man had not yet been reconciled to God through Jesus. The people needed a mediator, someone to intercede with God on their behalf. That is where we find people like Abraham and Moses pleading with God.
In Genesis 18:23-25, Abraham interceded with God on behalf of Sodom and Gomorrah:
Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?  Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
In fact, Abraham actually negotiated with God until He agreed not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for the sake of ten righteous people. But there weren’t ten righteous people in the whole city, and only some of Lot’s family survived. A similar account is recorded in Exodus 32:9-12 and 14. Here God was furious with the people, and Moses interceded for them:
The Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:  Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.  And Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?  Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.  And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Moses actually told God, “Repent!” What nerve! What’s more amazing is that God repented. From these and other stories in the Old Testament, modern-day “intercessors” believe we, too, must stand in the gap, or mediate, between God and man. Just as I did decades ago, they believe we must plead with God to save the lost, to withhold His wrath from those He is ready to judge, and to be merciful to those whose needs He is unwilling to meet because of their unworthiness.
That couldn’t be further from the truth , but it is what’s being taught in many churches today. It ignores the fact that Jesus is now seated at the right hand of the Father (Heb. 10:12), ever making intercession for us (Heb. 7:25). If Moses or Abraham could persuade God, don’t you think Jesus could do at least as well?
In 1 Timothy 2:5, we read—
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
In the New Covenant, Jesus is the ONLY mediator needed to stand between God the Father and mankind. Sin is no longer a problem with God; it’s been atoned for, and we are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. That is how God sees us. If we understand that, it will change the way we pray.
It was appropriate for Abraham and Moses to pray as they did because God’s wrath had not yet been appeased through Jesus. Today, under the New Covenant, if people try to mediate in that way, they are actually antichrist—against Christ. They are saying that Jesus was not enough and are not esteeming what Christ has done. When Jesus became our Mediator, He put all other mediators out of business—forever. I know these words are strong, but they are the truth.
Satan is behind much of the wrong teaching on “prayer.” Consider how crafty his plan is and the fruit it produces. He has convinced believers to stay in their closets, taking the place of Jesus in intercession. They spend hours pleading with God to turn from His wrath, to pour out His Spirit, and to meet the needs of the people.
Meanwhile, families, coworkers, and neighbors are going to hell and dying from disease. The Bible doesn’t say that salvation comes through intercession but by the foolishness of preaching (1 Cor. 1:21). And we are not told to pray for the sick but to heal the sick (Matt. 10:8) by commanding healing into their broken bodies.
We have been deceived into believing prayer is all about persuading God to release His power. We believe that He can save, heal, and deliver but that He is waiting on us to shape up and earn it. The truth is, we don’t deserve it, and we will never be good enough. Because of Jesus, all that God has is ours. That’s good news. We no longer need to beg or plead; we need to exercise the authority He has given us and receive His blessings.
SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN (HOW TO GET RESULT)
PRAYER IS A PROCESS (WHY RESULT TAKES TIME)
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF PRAYER
WHY WE PRAISE? IS PRAISE AN OPTION? OR IS PRAISE A NECESSITY?
Here are some answers/quotes from a book on “The Effects of Praise” by Andrew Wommack.
chapter one: “Why we praise”
Praise is a necessity, as we see in Deuteronomy. (28:45-48)
We see how seriously God looks at praise from His people.
…but a lack of joy and gladness of heart was included in their sin. They were not thankful for the abundance f things God had given them. praise was not being returned unto God.
He is worthy of our praise. (psalm 107:1,8; 29:2; 66:4; 7:17; 50:23; 34:1; 103:1)
I like Psalm 100:4 That is the way our relationship with Him should be. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Praise brings pleasure to God
Our number one priority is to be loving God personally-…It’s not enough just to give God our tithes; we need to give God our hearts.
God created man (human beings) because He wanted someone to fellowship with, commune with, and to have pleasure in.
praise is God’s will for us. (Revelation 4:11)
Peace is a benefit of praise. (Philippians 4:4-7)
When you are praising God, a supernatural peace will follow, a peace that no man can understand or explain. There is no physical reason for it, but the peace of God will keep your heart and mind.
If your mind is stayed on God, you will have perfect peace.
Praise is strength (Psalm 8:2)
The strength is specifically to be used against ur enemy.
If sickness tries to come upon your body, instead of spending so much time dealing with the devil and making that your priority begin to praise God and thank Him for the healing that has been promised to you. The medical profession has statistics that show that a happy and joyful person is much healthier than a person who is morbid, sad, and depressed.
Praise God for healing you, and let the joy of the Lord be your strength.
Praise blesses the Lord
Jesus gave priority to a personal relationship with God.
the way we establish this personal relationship with God is not limited to praise, but I believe that praise is the way to begin this love relationship with God.
If you don’t have a real revelation of God’s love for you, or even if you do but you want more, just begin setting aside a specific time each day to praise Him. I guarantee you’ll enter into a deeper level of intimacy with Him and the rest of your day will go a whole lot better!
Dear beloved: Over many years I have received free teachings from Andrew Wommack on healing and the right way to pray for healing. I have shared many of his good healing teachings on this blog. I received the following letter through a friend. I believe this is the time for my readers to respond. I thank the Lord for your reading. I pray that you too be led by the Lord to share the blessing you have received. Thank you.
A New Direction (from Andrew Wommack)
Construction Continues at the Sanctuary
As I’m sure you’re aware, we had to pause our construction at The Sanctuary at the end of December 2015 because of finances. I actually took out a line of credit on December 22 to meet our obligations with television and salaries, but the great news is that we paid that back in less than forty-five days. Thank You, Jesus! We are back on track to do everything debt free.
My original plan was to wait until we built up a $4 million buffer before restarting construction. This was to absorb any fluctuations in income or expenses so we wouldn’t run into this problem again. But something happened that has presented me with a new opportunity.
We are so cramped for space at The Barn that we are facing forced limitations on how many people can come to our conferences. We are dealing with this by possibly having students and staff go down to our facilities in Colorado Springs and watch the meetings via live stream. This only affects our major meetings, such as Summer Family Bible Conference, the Ministers’ Conference, Healing Is Here, and Charis Business Summit.
But the more pressing issue is office space and our Phone Center. As I told you months ago, I gave up my office space at The Sanctuary, and we’ve moved as many people as possible down to our offices in Colorado Springs, which already house over 250 employees. I went to talk to one of our IT people at The Barn, and they are actually occupying a storage space on the roof for their offices.
Our Phone Center is 90 percent staffed by Charis Bible College students. This makes for wonderful prayer ministers who do a great job, but it hinders us during Charis class hours. Right now, one of our largest volumes of calls comes from Daystar viewers, beginning at 6:50 a.m. and continuing for the next hour. Our Charis students have to leave around 7:00 a.m. to make it up to Woodland Park by the start of classes at 8:00 a.m.
This drop in people available to answer calls has dramatically limited our ability to respond during this time. We are losing hundreds of calls per day. Some of them may call back later, but we don’t know that for sure.
To solve these problems, my staff proposed looking at places in Woodland Park to rent for additional space. If we had our call center nearby in Woodland Park, the students would be able to take the vast majority of these dropped calls. As we began this process, the man who heads up our construction came to me with the idea of finishing off the part of Phase II that will house our new Phone Center and additional office space. I didn’t know this was an option, but it appears that this will work.
So, we’ve come up with a new plan to finish off the second floor of Phase II on the north and east side of the building. This will allow us to have 150 people answering the phones at one time and will give us around 100 new work spaces.
The changes to accommodate this partial build-out are very minor, and the benefit is enormous. This could be completed by August 2016, and that would be just perfect to accommodate the 1,000 students expected for the new school year beginning in September.
I feel so good about this that I instructed my staff today to go ahead and pursue this plan. Of course, we need the whole building finished as quickly as possible-and I am continuing to believe for that-but this is a bite-sized piece that will provide us with some quick relief.
Over the last eighteen months, we have received an average of $791,000 per month designated for our building projects. It would require just over $1 million per month to complete this partial build-out, or an increase of about $300,000 per month over what we are receiving now. This is one-tenth of the cost of having construction on the whole building going at full throttle. I believe this is very doable and would stop the need for us having to rent additional facilities in Woodland Park.
I’m sending this letter out to the 100,000 people who receive our monthly mailings, and it will also go out to 185,000 people on our email list. We will record some television spots announcing this, reaching millions more. Altogether, this is a piece of cake for Jesus.
I’m asking you to pray about this and participate if the Lord directs you to. As I’ve said many times before, it’s not about the buildings. These buildings are just tools that enable us to minister the true Gospel to people. But they are essential for accomplishing that goal.
Jamie and I and all the people being impacted by this ministry appreciate all you have done and will be doing to get this done. I am more convinced than ever that the Lord is doing something special at Charis. Not long ago, I was able to sit in on chapel at Charis when the students received a taste of our latest musical, God with Us. The writers of all the original music for this were telling us about how people want them on Broadway and in Hollywood and can’t understand why they are living in a small town in the mountains of Colorado. But they shared how the Lord brought them here. This is just one more example of what God is putting together.
No man has done this. No man could do this. Even if I were smart enough to figure this out, there is no way I could compete with all that the secular world has to offer these people. We have millionaires and business tycoons who have fallen in love with Charis and are pouring their lives into these students. David Barton and political figures are investing time and effort into raising up people to take our nation back.
Our media department is training people to communicate the Gospel using all the tools available to us today. Our missions program and ministry track are touching lives all over the world. Our evangelism courses are making a profound impact on our students, who, in turn, are touching the people in their worlds.
Altogether, Charis is doing things I’ve never been able to do. It’s like a tank being brought into battle. Satan’s kingdom is being hurt by what the Lord is doing here. Thanks for being a part of it. We couldn’t do it without you.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew and Jamie
Have you ever asked these questions:
Does God always heal?
Does God use sickness to teach?
Is God waiting on a change in behavior before He heals?
If healing is for all, why aren’t all Christians healed when they pray?
Isn’t healing really just a natural result of positive thinking?
If you have, you’re not alone. But for most, the questions still linger. The correct answers to these and other questions will change the way you see God and your relationship with Him. They will lay the foundation for healing in your life or that of someone you love.
THE SECRET PLACE
Most of the promises of God—probably more than you realize—are conditional upon abiding in His presence. You might think that’s too simple, but it really isn’t any more complicated than that. Sad to say, many Christians only visit the Lord, and only when they’re in trouble. If you’re going to be a victorious believer, you can’t meet with God sporadically or when you’re in a crisis. Let Andrew show you how to dwell in God’s presence today.
I am led today to reblog this resource from Andrew Wommack.
Many of us have been hurting and praying to be healed and set free from inner pain and mental health issues .
Today I was reminded of this following teaching by Andrew Wommack. We do need miracles . I have listened to his various teachings for several years and found them positive and practical to apply .
This miracles teaching comes in three audio talks. You can click the link to access the web page to download them in mp3.
How To Receive A Miracle from Andrew Wommack
“Most Christians do not know how to receive a miracle from God. Learn how to grab a hold of miracles and make them happen. Believing God’s Word is the most important step to receiving a miracle. We do not just naturally grow up believing God — it takes renewing our minds. By finding out what the Bible teaches, you can plant…
Marbach’s testimony of being healed of severe Bipolar Disorder and PTSD （Original from http://www.awmi.net/video/healing/nichole-marbach-healed/ )
I received this healing teaching recently. It says exactly many of us worried about. Why we still see the symptoms? How shall we deal with them?
Sharing on healing and receiving from God
(Mohr’s Intern – 1/25/16)
You speak to it, whatever it is, and then you praise God.
Warts on her daughter’s hand and feet were very upsetting to her daughter at 11 years old.
“We are going to pray and then every morning when you wake up you are going to say, ‘Thank you, Jesus, that they are gone.’”
It took 28 days and the warts were all gone! What if she would have said after 2 days, “Nothing is happening,” and stopped?
When you have something visual on your body that you see every day in the mirror it is harder to believe. “This is how it is for me. When it is a pain on the inside of me it is easy to speak to. But when it is something I see in the mirror, it takes extra more faith, right?”
God wants us to thank Him and praise Him as if it has already happened. THAT IS WHAT BRINGS THE VICTORY.
If your victory is only going to take 11 days, could you take captive every single thought that comes into your mind that does not line up with the truth? Can you put on worship music every time that symptom comes back or every time you get a thought of the issue that you have declared healing or victory over?
Can I say, every time I have a thought about it, “Nope, I have spoken over it and it is done!”
Only 2 Israelites entered into the Promised Land because the others did not trust God. They complained, but they did not trust. Even though they had seen miracle after miracle, they kept going back to that mentality of unbelief.
As we walk through this journey – whatever we are going through – it is so important to have the Word of God before our eyes the whole time. We learn by seeing, by hearing, by speaking. That is how the Word of God becomes alive in us.
Many times we take a scripture that we have in our head – that we already know – and we quote it and may even speak it out.
Kenneth Copeland said that we may know what a food tastes like, that it is good, but my memory of this food does not give my body nutrition UNLESS I EAT IT. It is the same with the Word of God.
Denise, you may have knowledge of the Word, but you may actually be starving spiritually because you are not feasting on the Word.
When you are busy or hurting you may think it is enough to take out the scriptures that you have in your head, but the Word needs to be before your eyes.
The quick and powerful Word of God – Keep It Always Before Your Eyes.
Speak it. Hear yourself say it. Our words are more powerful than anyone else’s words. Faith comes by
hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Our faith grows the most when our heart and our ears hear
our mouth speak out the Word of God.
Carrie Pickett: Go back to basics. Spirit, Soul, and Body.
Have the Word in front of us all the time. Have scriptures that you are looking at, speaking, meditating upon, and hearing. Speak it out yourself.
We do not know when the end is coming. The Israelites only had an 11 day journey but they made it take 40 years because they did not trust God. We do not know how long our breakthrough is going to take. But it could be only 11 days. It could be only 28 days. It may feel like we are in a corridor.
One of the reasons we are in a corridor is because God is trying to speak to us.
God is doing everything He can to move heaven and earth for me to get that revelation that I am believing for. All He wants me to do is agree with Him.
Sometimes it looks like He is not doing anything, BUT HE IS!
Jesus is praying for me 24/7!! What a blessing! There is no one in this world that prays for us 24/7! He wants me to get that revelation I need.
Andrew could have had the cancer on his ear taken care of by Doctors. But he said, “If I am going to walk by faith, I need to stand on faith – this needs to go by faith.”
The biggest issue was all the unbelief people spoke over him. Friends were saying, “That’s a melanoma. That could be all throughout your body.”
The friends were in fear and they wanted Andrew to live. Their motives were good, but they were not agreeing that he was healed. What took so long for Andrew was that he had to get rid of all the unbelief. He could see his ear and everyone else could see it. When you have something visible and people speak it over you, even behind your back, those words need to be rebuked.
Think about what you say! Don’t speak negative words over yourself or anyone…even if they cannot hear you. We are walking with others on their journey. We will not counter what they are trying to do.
We have to be aware that the delay is US, not the Lord. The Holy Spirit wants to help us clean up the unbelief.
But NO CONDEMNATION!! It is our journey that becomes our testimony!!
In your journey, when you feel it is never going to happen, remember that if the Israelites would have known that it was only an 11 day journey, they WOULDN’T HAVE COMPLAINED. THEY WOULDN’T HAVE HAD ANY UNBELIEF. They would have already “seen” the results and they would have trusted God.
We can ask God and sometimes He will tell us – but other times He says, “Trust Me, Trust Me.”
God is pleased with our faith. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, so With Faith It IS Possible to Please Him!
He is looking for people who want to walk by faith. Am I one of those? Am I pleasing Him by my faith? My faith is a testimony of the Gospel.
Maybe this thing I am dealing with I could solve itself. You could have it removed or you could take medicine. “I challenge you today to ask God first.” “God do you want me to walk this out by faith?” “Make sure he says yes before you make a decision.”
“If we are not going to take something to believe for and walk it out in faith, how are we going to learn?” How are we going to exercise our faith? How are we going to know the power of God?
Just take what is bothering you – a mark on your body – a little thing – anything — and say, “Ok, God, I want to see this work. I want this gone. I don’t want to use all of the world’s ways. I want to do it YOUR WAY – BY FAITH. And I want to see it work! It’s exciting because it is already done! We know it is already done!”
The Israelites did have issues, like a slavery mentality. BUT they saw all the miracles. They could have believed. They had the manna and the quail, and all the miracles back in Egypt that they saw first-hand, but they doubted God’s love, God’s power, God’s faithfulness.
Stay in that peace. Stay in that thankfulness. You WILL get your answer. You WILL get your breakthrough. You WILL get your revelation. You WILL get your healing!
I found this good and relevant article today as I ponder on why there are people who are not healed. Why do Christians feel helpless when encountering sickness in their own family? What has God provided for us who believe? I was led to look at the resources which I have trusted for over ten years, online and here is the exact message I need! I have received feedback that many have been blessed by the resources and teachings from the Bible-based healing web-sites posted here. I pray this one and the related audio/video teachings will help you too.
“Our Authority Releases God’s Power”
by Andrew Wommack
There are a number of keys to seeing the miraculous power of God manifest on a consistent basis. One of the least understood, and therefore seldom practiced, is the fact that healing is under the authority of the believer. God has already provided His healing power and placed it on the inside of every born-again believer. It is up to us to release it. Understanding and using our authority is the key to seeing miracles happen.
Look at how Peter and John ministered healing to the lame man in Acts 3:1-8:
“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”
Notice that Peter didn’t pray for this man. He also didn’t ask God to heal him. He said, “Such as I have give I thee.” This didn’t mean that Peter was the source of this healing. Notice what Peter said in Acts 3:12,
“And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?”
It was God’s power that healed this man, but that power was under Peter’s authority. Peter went on to say in verse 16 that it was faith in the name of Jesus that had wrought this miracle. But Peter didn’t ask God to heal this man. He believed the Lord had already done His part and had placed that power within him. Now it was Peter’s responsibility to release that power, and that’s just what he did.
The Lord never told us to pray for the sick in the sense that we ask Him to heal them. He told us to heal the sick. There is a BIG difference between the two. It has to do with operating in the authority He has already given us. Look at these commands the Lord gave His disciples.
“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”(Luke 9:1-2)
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” (Matt. 10:1)
“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:7-8)
Jesus told us to heal the sick not pray for the sick. What a radical statement! This will get you kicked out of most churches today, but these are the exact words of our Lord Jesus Christ. And this is precisely why more people don’t see the miraculous results they’re praying for. They aren’t taking their authority and commanding God’s power; they’re passively asking God to do what He told them to do.
I know this goes contrary to popular Christian doctrine. We’re constantly told that it’s not us but God who is the Healer, and I agree with that totally. But, I also believe that God has placed His healing power under our authority, and it is up to us to release it. If we don’t take our authority and become commanders instead of beggars, God’s power will not be released. There needs to be a radical renewing of our thinking on this issue.
A good friend of mine, Dave Duell, held a meeting in Africa many years ago. It was one of his first times he saw miracles such as the blind and deaf healed. The people were so excited that they were mobbing him as he walked through the streets, trying to touch him so they could be healed. His first thought was influenced by this religious thinking I’m trying to change. He thought, They shouldn’t be looking to me. I’m not the healer; it is Jesus. He was about to stop them when the Lord spoke to him. The Lord said, “Dave, do you remember when I rode that donkey into Jerusalem, and all the people put their garments and palm branches in the way and cried, ‘Hosanna’? What would you have thought if the donkey had spoken up and said, ‘It’s not me! It’s not me’? That would only have revealed the donkey’s arrogance. No one was praising the donkey; they were praising the One that was riding the donkey.”
When Dave recognized the people weren’t trying to touch him but the One he was carrying, he let them touch him all they wanted and people were healed. This is exactly what happened with the first-century disciples. Peter had people line the streets so that if only his shadow would touch them, they would be healed (Acts. 5:15).
Look at an amazing passage of Scripture in Isaiah 45:11.
“Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”
What a powerful scripture! What does the Lord mean when He tells us to command Him? Well, He certainly doesn’t mean we are mightier and more powerful than Him and can order Him around. He means, concerning the things He has already done, He wants us to take our authority and command His power.
It’s like electricity. The power company generates the power and delivers it to your house. It’s not your power, but it’s under your control. You don’t call the power company and ask them to turn the lights on. No! They won’t do that. They generate the power, but it’s under your command. You simply flip the switch on the wall and command the power to work. Does this mean you are the power source? Certainly not! You can put a light bulb in your mouth, and it will never come on. You aren’t the power source, but you are the one in control of what that power does. You can plead with the power company all you want, but they won’t flip the switch for you. You have to assume your authority and acknowledge the power is under your command.
That’s what the Lord was speaking of. He has already healed everyone who will ever be healed. He did it two thousand years ago when He bore our stripes on His back. Then He deposited His resurrection power inside every believer (Eph. 1:19-20). He’s done His part, and now it is up to us to do ours. We need to take the authority He has given us and become commanders instead of beggars. This is a powerful truth that works, and it’s the reason we see so many miraculous healings. We aren’t just praying for the sick; we are healing them in Jesus’ name.
I know this line of thinking raises as many questions as it does answers, so I’ve produced a teaching on The Believer’s Authority. I have some radical teachings in this album. For example, who do you think made Satan? Most people think that God made Satan, but that’s not so. God created Lucifer, a wonderful, powerful, godly angel, but it was mankind who made Satan. There is a difference between creating and making. This could revolutionize your whole approach toward the devil. Satan isn’t using some superhuman, angelic authority against us; he’s using the authority and power that was given to man by God. Therefore, Satan can’t do anything to us without our consent and cooperation. Hallelujah!
Prayer is one of the most powerful defensive (and offensive) weapons in the full armor of God that Jesus has left with us. Before He left this earth He repeatedly urged the disciples to watch and pray. Jesus knows the power of prayer and prays all the time. He still prays (intercedes) for Christians while sitting at the right hand of God today. (Romans 8:34)
I have found many good teachings on prayers over many years. I have learned from them and been transformed in my prayer life and living before God.
I put some of the good stuff on a plate now and hand to you: Here are some good prayer teaching resources from Andrew Wommack for Christians. I pray that readers will be encouraged to listen to them: http://www.awmi.net/audio/audio-teachings/#/awm_y03_kindsI.mp3
The first top search word yesterday was “Andrew Wommack” and the second top search word was “pornography”. This health blogger believes there is an urgent necessity to find solution and healing for addiction. So I searched through Andrew Wommack’s teaching to see if there is any suitable healing material for this particular habitual bondage. I have found the following relevant teachings addressing the matter of the mind which in turn controls harmful emotion, physical desires and habits.
Hardness of Heart: A Condition You May Have and Not Even Know it…
Harnessing Your Emotions
Dealing With Temptation
Decisions Determine Destiny
I lament for the healed ones who have chosen to continue to walk in unbelief. I have seen and shared in former posts people healed by divine healing from God. In this post I shall share more on the common sources of doubts manifested among the sick (and their caregivers) in a modern developed ‘rich’ society.
1. Total dependence on comparatively more advanced and more well equipped medical and health care system.
2. Prevailing cultural emphasis on the physical and seen aspects of living in the known senses including physical, mental and emotional (soul) dimensions on earth.
3. Believing in the power of the mind (influenced by historical and prevailing education and philosophical exposure and training) and human efforts.
The above factors remain neutral until a sick person fixes his focus and trust on them exclusively. I have heard Christians and their caregivers saying that they do believe in God’s divine healing (mostly through prayers) like believers of other religions do. However, they often also say something else, to the effect that the healing credit must go to something else, anything but God’s work.
The anomaly we have observed most was after we have prayed over the sick and by the power of God (the Holy Spirit) they got healed but either they themselves and/or their caregivers continued to give the credit to other reasons, rationalizing why the sick persons concerned were healed. They uttered things like, “Oh, he is going to improve anyway..”; “Yes, but in time he would have become well anyway…”; “Before praying he was already showing signs of improvement…”; “because his immune system was boosted by__ (name of anything but God), his sickness of course went away..”; “But he always had that condition and he was alright anyway with it..””Maybe he was not correctly diagnosed previously anyway…” (Meaning that God’s intervention was redundant.) There were many excuses. People are never short of excuses to help them to be ‘politically correct’ in a godless society. People want God’s healing but they do not want God to be too big or obvious for their comfort.
In contrast, in a poor third world society people either believe or not believe. Miracles and miracles happen. The words of God from the Bible become life for the people. They receive divine healing willingly. They have received healing by faith just as Jesus has said. When they are healed they give glory to God.
Yes, we continue to pray and intercede for people with sickness and the symptoms thereof. We also continue to pray that their hardened hearts against God will be softened. As Jesus has warned in Luke 12:20-21 (NLT)
20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’
21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”
Hardness of Heart: A Condition You May Have and Not Even Know it…
The dictionary defines hardened as cold, insensitive, unfeeling, and unyielding. If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll have to agree that there are certain areas of your life where you have a hard heart toward God.
A hard heart is characterized by an inability to perceive spiritually. And when spiritual things are perceived, a hard heart will keep a person from understanding the few things they can perceive. They might see what the Lord is trying to show them, but they can’t get a hold of it in a way that they can apply it to their life….
When people are hardhearted toward God, it’s like they are spiritually blind and deaf—they just can’t see spiritual truth or hear the Lord speak to them. And they can’t remember. Not remembering is a major indication of the condition of their hearts….
” Mike and Aster Mullins live with their family in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, Ireland, the home of the famous hymn, Amazing Grace. In September of 2009, they welcomed their fourth son into the world. Their new baby, Andrew, was the Mullins’ fifth child, and from the beginning, Aster considered him her victory baby.
In December 2010, Mike and Aster noticed something was bothering Andrew. Their 15-month-old was behaving strangely; he was not eating well, he was losing weight, and he had begun banging his head. Troubled, the Mullins had Andrew examined by their family doctor, and they found that Andrew had infections in both ears. The doctor prescribed antibiotics, and the Mullins went about their business—off to Holland to celebrate Christmas.
When they returned to Ireland after Christmas, Andrew was still not well and Aster noticed a small lump on his back. When she saw it, she was gripped with fear… Faithful as always, the Lord showed Aster the story of Ehud (Judges 3:12-25). Through this passage, Aster saw her weapon revealed; she saw Ehud’s double-edged dagger as the Word of God, and she thrust her dagger into the remaining cancer. As they gathered to lay hands on Andrew, Aster prayed, “Cancer, Neuroblastoma, I’ve got a message from God for you…By His stripes, Andrew is healed.” Aster left that word of God there in Andrew’s belly, not adding anything else to it because she saw in the Scriptures that Ehud did not remove his dagger from the king’s belly. She knew that in the end, the medical team would find that Andrew’s cancer, like king Eglon, was dead on the floor. Her conviction that nothing could stand against the Word of God gave her confidence that her son would be completely cancer free and unaffected by the vicious treatment medications, the side effects of which, can also be devastating.
After treatment, when Andrew was tested again for cancer, and for any damage caused by the treatment, his results came back perfect; there was no sign of cancer or damage to any of his organs. His eyesight, hearing, heart, lungs and both kidneys were perfect. The Mullins chose to believe what they had learned from Andrew Wommack, the truth about God—that it is always His will to heal—always. The Mullins’ victory, and revelation of God’s amazing grace has brought them a freshness, excitement and confidence in the love and goodness of God.” (excerpts from- Amazed By Grace – : http://www.awmi.net/video/healing/mullins2/; http://www.awmi.net/ministry-focus/healing-center/; many: http://www.awmi.net/video/healing/)
