Living a Life of Fire and Faith quotes

I am led today to share some quotes from an evangelist of our time. Recently I have been interceding using the word “fire”. Today I suddenly thought of this evangelist’s autobiography, but I forgot its title. After I searched the internet I found that it’s aptly called, “Living a Life of Fire: An Autobiography” by Reinhard Bonnke. Indeed, it’s a time to call down supernatural fire. Many are suffering, oppressed, persecuted and lost. Some are forever lost without Jesus. Is this a time to build our own bigger and more luxurious houses with fancier ceilings? Good reminder from the old prophet Haggai. What is your call? That is the crux of the matter.

“It is said that resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for your enemy to die. There is no room for such a waste of energy in the service of God.”

“You have faith stories, too. No matter how small, remember them, recite them, count them, and celebrate them. They build your faith for what is coming next in your life.”

“When people decide not to take risks, this is why. They fear they might suffer unexpected consequences. And, as my ulcers and depression proved, the risk is real. But is that reason to hang onto the past? To cling to mediocrity? No. Doing that is the first step along the path of seeing a living faith become a dead one. The old place, the old building, the old method, the old success, is comforting. The new step is frightening. We must place our trust completely in God to move beyond these comfort zones in life.”

“Divine healings were signs and wonders to confirm the preaching of the gospel. He took the sick man by the hand and commanded that”

“When you pull up roots in order to fulfill a divine destiny, there is not a sense of pain or loss. Rather, there is a great expectation for things to come.”

“The need is not the call. This piece of wisdom has saved the lives of many a missionary, especially in Africa, where the needs are so great that they can pull you to pieces. A missionary can put out so many fires trying to meet needs around him that he suffers burnout. I have known missionary friends who said, “I hear the cry of lost souls calling me into the mission field.” These workers are headed for the missionary bone yard. They have responded to the call of the need rather than the call of God. We must go where God sends us, speak what He gives us to speak, hear His voice and obey it – this is our best protection from burnout. It will also guide us to the very best strategy for accomplishing His mission. For everything a man does to follow the call of God, there are ten things he does not do. We cannot do everything. We must focus on the call and not simply the needs.”

Faith: The Link with God’s Power by Reinhard Bonnke

“We do not first acquire the faith that we bring to Scripture. Scripture encourages faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).”

“Commitment Now, nobody can have unity on his or her own. You cannot be married on your own. There is no such thing as an independent believer. You cannot have unity by belonging nowhere.”

“Jesus did not call them—or you and me—to ditch their smiles and to wear sackcloth. His mission was not to turn people into “stick-in-the-muds.” Jesus Himself was not very conventional! The disciples caught His infectious spirit, one that would challenge the stuffy establishment. He showed them new things, especially faith and love, by which, they would conquer the world.”

“God the Deliverer The primary truth about God is that He is the Deliverer, the Emancipator, and the Savior. He is God only to the free. Faith is a venture that turns life into an adventure.”

“The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of unity. He is the bonding element. This bonding is a wonderful effect of faith in Christ. It is creative. It brings about a new kind of oneness not even known in the closest of earthly families.”

“Faith…needs to be matched with action. Belief is not just brain cells in motion. It demands a response. Do we do what we believe? If we believe in a seed, we plant it.”

The following write-up is quoted from : http://www.cfan.org.sg/about-reinhard-bonnke.html

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is principally known for his Great Gospel Crusades throughout the Continent of Africa. The son of a pastor, Reinhard gave his life to the Lord at age nine, and heard the call to the African mission field before he was even a teenager. After attending Bible College in Wales, and his ordination in Germany he pastored a church and then went on to start missionary work in Africa. It was there, in the small mountain kingdom of Lesotho, that God placed upon his heart the vision of ‘the continent of Africa, being washed in the precious Blood of Jesus’ — an entire continent, from Cape Town to Cairo and from Dakar to Djibouti that needed to be reached and to hear the proclamation of the signs-following Gospel.

He began holding meetings in a tent that accommodated just 800 people, but, as attendance steadily increased, larger and larger tents had to be purchased, until finally, in 1984, he commissioned the construction of the world’s largest mobile structure — a tent capable of seating 34,000 people! Soon, attendance at his meetings even exceeded the capacity of this huge structure, and he began open-air Gospel Campaigns with an initial gathering of over 150,000 people per service! Since then, he has conducted city-wide meetings across the continent with as many as 1,600,000 people attending a single meeting using towering sound systems that can be heard for miles.

It has now been some thirty-five years since Reinhard Bonnke founded the international ministry of Christ for all Nations (CfaN), which currently has offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Since the start of the new millennium, through a host of major events in Africa and other parts of the world, the ministry has recorded 55 million documented decisions for Jesus Christ.

As part of the discipleship-training program, 185 million copies of CfaN follow-up literature have been published in 103 languages and printed in 55 countries. Millions of books have been printed and freely ‘seeded’ in nations around the world. All this is in addition to the ‘Reinhard Bonnke School of Fire,’ an online, self-study course, aimed at inspiring others to Holy Spirit Evangelism and leading to either a certificate or university credits.

Reinhard Bonnke is also recognized for hosting ‘Fire Conferences’ in many different countries of the world, events that are aimed at equipping church leaders and workers for evangelism; for distributing over 95,500,000 copies of Minus to Plus, a profound salvation message, to homes around the world; and for seeking every opportunity to reach and to save the lost.

More recently, Bonnke has spent several years developing the ‘Full Flame Film Series,’ a series of eight inspirational films aimed at inspiring and challenging the church to Holy Spirit evangelism.

Evangelist Bonnke is married to Anni, father to Kai-Uwe, Gabrielle, and Susie, and grandfather to eight grandchildren.

a healed testimony: Debbie Fortnum

healed-debbie-fortnum“Debbie’s music speaks to matters of the heart. Her candor is refreshing. She creates an atmosphere where people want to surrender themselves and hear from Christ. And they do!”
“Debbie is a Wife, a Mother-of-Three, Women’s Speaker, Award-Winning Recording Artist, Singer, Songwriter, Worship Pastor, and Pianist. She weaves her spoken messages, testimony, stories and worshipful, encouraging music into a well-received gift of real – and Biblical — refreshment to audiences of all ages and stages.”

“After a miraculous healing, Debbie began her public ministry as a young 13-year-old, where she became the full time pianist at her father’s C&MA Church in Oregon, USA.” (Above quoted from various online sources)

Here is a testimony about her musical gift:

(quoted from her blog)
“When I was just 5 years old, I began to play the piano without ever being taught. It was pretty sudden … and surprising. I couldn’t understand why I suddenly understood how all of those 88 piano keys “worked together” so beautifully, but it was as clear to me as the blazing sun! But the timing of it was wonderfully suspicious. Just two weeks after I said “YES!” to Jesus, I realized that I could play the piano, by ear. It became obvious to me and my parents that something got downloaded into my five-year-old self that represented a gift, and a calling. But the music my fingers produced never came from black notes on a page. Music came out of my heart. In fact, there were times when I thought only half the gift got downloaded, and the other half was still floating around in spiritual cyber-space. I still can barely read a note, and greatly struggle with memory, learning disabilities and other issues! God certainly has a sense of humour, because during the past 9 albums — four of them instrumental piano CDs — that were recorded, not a single sheet of music containing any of those confusing little black notes were even to be seen in the recording studio!”

Concerning her miraculous healing, she said, “The call of the Lord upon my life began when I was nine years old. I felt a specific call to ministry. At that time, I had been struck with a debilitating disease that ransacked me for three years. They still have not been able to diagnose the disease. They think it was a strain of polio,” the singer recalls.
Fortnum continues, “I couldn’t do much except sit down at the piano and play. I just began to develop this incredible love relationship with the Lord. I would play, read and sing scripture. The songs began to pour out of me and it was within the context of pain. I started when I was nine and then when I was twelve God miraculously healed me. I believe the Lord used that experience to reroute me. He wanted me in music and ministry.” (Quoted from an article published at http://www.growthtrac.com/debbie-fortnum/ On “several hundred women gathered at Sagemont Church in Houston Texas to listen to Debbie Fortnum the keynote speaker for Ladies Night Out a quarterly women’s conference.”)

Here is a song from her based on Bible verses:
DEBBIE FORTNUM — “I Know The Plans” Jer. 29:11
Words and Music by Debbie Fortnum

I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord

I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord

I have great plans to prosper you,
declares the Lord

I have great plans to prosper you,
declares the Lord
To give you a hope, to give you a future,
says the Lord

To give you a hope, to give you a future,
says the Lord

And not to harm you

No I will never harm you

I want to show you all of My miracles

And I want to know you and
I want you to know Me

I want to show you
in the years ahead together

The beauty of My plans,
you’re in very capable hands

I know the plans I have for you

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

What Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God and Healing

special healing schoolWhen Jesus came to earth He preached the Gospel of the kingdom of God which included healing the sick. The Kingdom of God is about the Gospel and its application on earth as in heaven. It comes together with healing.

Here are some of the Bible verses that tell us what Jesus did:

[ Jesus Heals a Great Multitude ] And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
[ The Compassion of Jesus ] Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.

Matthew 6:10 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 Your kingdom come.Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.

And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God.

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Healed testimony continued (revised 6/16/15)

born_again-howNotes on 6/16/15: Further to what I have written below, I am reminded this morning that in God’s perfect love there is no fear (1 John). I am also reminded that there are really many things I do not know about God and His healing way. I have recently been led to assure an elderly missionary who has served God faithfully for nearly 20 years in the mission field, and had to take medication to stop the severe incapacitating symptoms that had caused immense suffering to himself and his loved ones, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1 NKJV) I am reminded of 1 John 4 about the love the followers of Jesus must have for one another. I am also reminded of the important teaching of love through Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:1-10.

Indeed, no one has the perfect ten in knowing how divine healing works. Apostle Paul himself admitted this fact: “8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” (1Corinthians 13:8-10)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~originally posted on 6/6/15:
A common thought that dominates the human mind is the fear of being sick, ranging from the fear of inconveniences and discomfort to life threatening suffering and losses in many aspects of lives.
Mankind has developed many ways of coping and treating illness. Expensive and sophisticated equipments had been manufactured for the healthcare industry. However, many people continue to fear the uncertainty of diseases and the death caused by painful diseases. Churches have increasingly prayed for the healing of diseases. The Bible recorded divine healing by Jesus, Paul, Peter and others, including prophets like Elijah and Elisha. Some Christians believe that God heals people through the power of the Holy Spirit, often involving the laying of hands. Famous earlier Christians of faith in the 20th Century like John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, William Branham, Oral Roberts, Kathryn Kuhlman, Kenneth Hagin and many others practiced divine healing by faith through the power of the Holy Spirit, on the basis of the words of God.
This blogger has witnessed dramatically healed testimonies as well as incidents of failures to get healed. Why did some receive total divine wellness and live a long and fulfilled life while others seemed to have failed to appropriate the divine healing promised in the Bible? There seems no answer to this blogger’s question.
The spiritual God’s way is not for a mortal physical man to fully comprehend in the mind. Divine healing is spiritual. There is no physical medicine to be taken at regular intervals. There is no physical equipment to be used to cut and remove unwanted physical lumps. The only guide to each Christian is the words of God, the Bible. Can everyone be a faith healer? Again I have no answer. I can only read the words of God and believe as I am led by the Holy Spirit, after personally knowing God, that He is real and He has announced Himself as the Lord who heals. In my previous healed testimony I have already testified how I have believed in God’s words by faith and how God has healed me. I admit that I did try to rationalize things with my mind. But I have soon realized how limited my human mind is. When I decided to choose the spiritual way to understand God, I started to experience breakthrough in divine healing.
Jesus has spoken clearly that God is Spirit and He looks for those who worship (including relate to) Him in spirit and in truth. I take the word ‘truth’ means the words of God. The Holy Spirit and the words of God work hand in hand. Jesus Himself is the way, the truth and the life. The Holy Spirit gives life to our mortal body. I believe fully in the following key verses on what it means to be born again. It does make a crucial difference in my receiving divine healing.
John 3:3,5 King James Version (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 1:22a-23 King James Version (KJV)
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit …
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Everyone faces temptation
I find that after many years and many ways many are still bound by addictions. Addictions in all forms. You name it they have it. Some of the addicts are Christians or children of Christian families. There are no short-cuts to becoming an overcomer. One way I have found effective to many is the word of God. The word of God is always readily available in many media. Pride often prevents people from taking full benefit from this free gift of God. Today I am led to post the following taken from Andrew Wommack. I have discovered that when I merely post a link many do not bother to click. So here are both the links and the contents. I pray that you will read or listen to the teachings which have helped many. Do not believe anymore the enemy’s lies that you know it all and that you no longer need to listen to anyone’s teaching. Please. My own brothers and sisters. I love you and know you are hurting. Please listen.
AW overcome temptation
How To Deal With Temptation by Andrew Wommack
Everyone faces temptation. The question is, how do we deal with it? Judging from our results, most of us would have to admit that we need to learn more. There’s a right way and there’s a wrong way to respond when tempted; there is even a way to avoid temptation. Listen to this series and learn how.
Summary of teaching:
Be Prepared
There’s an old saying, “fail to prepare and you’re preparing to fail.” That is certainly true when it comes to temptation. In this message, you will learn what Jesus did to prepare for His encounter with Satan. What He did works, and it works every time.
Who Do You Think You Are?
You better know the answer to that question if you expect to be victorious when it comes to temptation. Every temptation of life, at its core, is screaming the same question: “Who are you, really?” Answer this question correctly and Satan becomes powerless. Andrew’s clear teaching on this subject will help set you free.
Selfishness, The Beachhead Of Satan
Satan’s options are limited. And when you learn just how limited, your response to him will be, “Is that all you’ve got?” He only has three methods of temptation, and all three are rooted in our own selfishness. When you recognize his method, your response becomes obvious.
It Is Written
The Bible says that Jesus was the Word, that everything He said is the Word, and that all power and authority has been given to Him. So, why then did He quote the Old Testament when Satan tempted Him? For the same reason we should. Listen as Andrew teaches with clarity about the power in God’s Word.
Temptation Is Tied To Thought
In this message, you’ll learn how to avoid temptation. If you can avoid it, you won’t have to deal with it. However, what that really means is taking personal responsibility and adopting a “no-excuse” approach. This isn’t a message you’ll want to hear if you’re in the habit of making excuses.
Article (quoted in full)
Everyone faces temptation. But the truth is, very few people deal with it effectively. That shouldn’t be the case, and it doesn’t have to be the case for believers. There are some very simple and effective ways of dealing with temptation that you should know, and if you’ll put them into practice, I guarantee, you’ll come out the winner.
It has been said, “Fail to plan and you’re planning to fail.” That statement could not be truer when it’s applied to temptation. I don’t know anyone who gets up in the morning and prays to fail when faced with temptation, but I know many people who get up each morning and fail to plan for what the Bible says we will all certainly face. So, first and most important, you must be prepared. That’s so simple, you have to have someone’s help to misunderstand. But, we must have had a lot of help because very few people have taken the time or made the effort to prepare.
Second Chronicles 12:14 says it this way,
“And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.”
This was speaking of Rehoboam, the king of Judah and the son of Solomon. He started off as a good king who was seeking the Lord. But just like many people today, he wasn’t prepared for what would inevitably come his way. When Satan throws temptation your way, if you’re not already prepared, it’s too late. You’ll probably lose the fight.
Jesus prepared Himself. He spent thirty years getting ready for His encounter with the devil, and He started preparing early. At the age of twelve, He was asking questions of the doctors of the Law and astounding them with His answers. He had obviously spent many hours reading and studying the Scriptures. I’m sure that study continued all His life, but even Jesus needed more.
Before He was tempted by Satan face to face, He was anointed with the Holy Spirit at His baptism by John in the Jordan River. Jesus went into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, full of the power of the Holy Spirit.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is an absolute necessity for overcoming temptation. There are many Christians who received the Holy Spirit years ago and haven’t been full of the Holy Spirit a day since. It’s not about what happened to us long ago; we have to stay full of the Holy Spirit. One way of doing that is to speak in tongues on a regular basis. Jude 1:20-21 says,
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
Praying in tongues builds us up on our most holy faith. How many times have you needed your most holy faith to take you through a certain trial, and yet you haven’t used this gift of the Holy Spirit? Verse 21 also says we keep ourselves in the love of God when we speak in tongues. Have you ever asked the Lord to pour out His love on you? I imagine you have, but this doesn’t say to pray that way; it says we are to keep ourselves in the love of God. We do that by speaking in tongues. We don’t ask God for that which He’s already given, we simply stir up the love that has already been commended toward us, by speaking in tongues. This is a powerful gift. Isaiah 28:11-12 says,
“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
Do you ever need rest or refreshing? I guarantee that you do, and this verse says speaking in tongues is the way to get it. We have a tremendously powerful gift available to us through the Holy Spirit, but few people take advantage of it. Instead, we ask God to do what He told us to do. We need to use this gift of speaking in tongues to stir ourselves up, or we risk sinking to the bottom.
You must also know who you are. Matthew 4 and Luke 4 record the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. One of the most amazing aspects of those temptations was that Satan began two of the three temptations with the words, “If thou be the Son of God.” Many people have missed this point. The real temptation was Satan’s attempt to get Jesus to doubt who He was. That’s the same way he attacked Adam and Eve. The serpent told Eve that if she would eat the forbidden fruit, she would be like God (Gen. 3:5). The truth was that she was already like God, but she didn’t know it. The first Adam sinned, because he didn’t know who he really was. The second Adam, Jesus, didn’t sin, because He did know who he was. Knowing your true identity in Christ is one of the greatest defenses you can possibly have against temptation.
Jesus had just heard His Father speak to Him in an audible voice saying,
“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matt. 3:17).
There was also a visible sign from God when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus in the shape of a dove. Jesus had to anchor His faith in who His Father said He was. But immediately, Satan came to Him saying,
“If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread” (Matt. 4:3).
The real temptation was never about turning stones into bread. It was Satan’s attempt to manipulate Jesus into doubting His Father’s Word and doing something to prove who He was. Satan was trying to find and exploit any insecurity in Jesus.
When you were a kid, I’m sure someone at some time dared you to do something stupid. The real issue wasn’t whether or not you could do it but whether you were “afraid” to do it. And sad to say, many of us took the dare and did something that hurt us or shamed us just to prove that we weren’t. All we really succeeded in proving was that we feared their disapproval so much that we weren’t willing to do what was right. The truly fearless response would have been to walk away, secure in who we were, earning their respect through character rather than performance.
Satan was daring Jesus—”If You’re really the Son of God, if what You heard from the Father in an audible voice is really true, then prove it, and turn this stone into bread.” Turning a stone into bread would not have been sin. It would have been sin if Jesus had doubted the words of His heavenly Father declaring who He was by placing more faith in what a miracle could say about Him. You must know who you are if you want to overcome temptation. No matter what form Satan’s temptations may take, they are all directed at causing us to doubt who we are.
It’s also important to understand that all temptation is rooted in selfishness. In fact, our selfishness is really Satan’s beachhead. Jesus stripped him of his power two thousand years ago, so the only thing he can really do is deceive us through our own selfish desires. The Bible tells us exactly what they are in 1 John 2:16,
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
And in James 1:14 we read,
“But every many is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”
Satan is not limitless; deception is his only weapon. All he can do is try to deceive us into thinking that God really can’t or won’t fulfill our lives. Every single temptation of the enemy is packaged in the form of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life. But they’re all designed to entice us and cause us to doubt that God will meet our needs. Selfishness is always the favorite playground of the devil, and when selfishness rules in our lives, we open the door to his deceptive schemes.
You can’t be tempted unless you have first thought about it. All temptation is linked to what you think on. Therefore, control your thoughts, and you will control temptation. This is a simple but profound truth. It’s the reason most people fall into temptation. It’s like a woman who doesn’t want to get pregnant but continues to have sexual relations without any contraception. Sooner or later, she will get pregnant. Think on the wrong things long enough, and sooner or later you will fall into sin when tempted.
Philippians 4:8 says this,
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Temptation will come, but it’s hard for the devil to deceive you when your mind is stayed on those things. Satan can only work with what you give him, so don’t give him any space in your mind. You’ll be able to avoid many of the temptations you face if you will put this into practice.
The Word is powerful—use it. Jesus countered every temptation of the devil with the Word. Think about it, Jesus was the Word, and everything He said would have been Scripture and more than sufficient to rebuke the devil. Yet He would say, “It is written” then He quoted God’s Word. If it was important for Jesus to quote the Word, it’s even more important for us to do the same. We must know God’s Word to effectively overcome temptation. That goes back to being prepared; you can’t quote scripture you haven’t learned, and there isn’t any power in what you don’t know or understand.
Don’t wait till you’re in the middle of a huge temptation to start thinking about how to deal with it; it will be too late. Take the time now to prepare yourself for those temptations that will inevitably come your way. To help, I produced a five-part album entitled How To Deal With Temptation. In this album, I teach on: being prepared, knowing who you are, how selfishness is the beachhead of Satan, why speaking the Word is so important, and how temptation is tied to your thought life. These are all vital to understanding and overcoming temptation.
Get Out Of The Boat
andrew wommackI continue to hear of people who suffer and wait (in pain and in vain) for ways to help them to reduce their uncertainties about lives (spirit, soul, body). I have taken the liberty to re-post the following links and article and audio teachings from Andrew Wommack, whose teachings I have listened for many years, indeed since the days when we listened to cassette tapes from thousands of miles away over the other side of the earth! Some of my younger friends have advanced to the point of enrolling the correspondence courses in the Charis Bible College. I strongly encourage you to visit their website and listen for yourselves. If you are young, do pray and consider enrolling for the Bible classes. They have a business school too. If I were 20 years younger, I would have joined them.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~How To Become A Water Walker by Andrew Wommack
Listen as Andrew shares how you can walk in the miraculous
It wasn’t just fate or luck that Peter walked on the water while the other apostles stayed in the boat. So, why do some people experience miracles and others don’t? A fatalistic philosophy will tell you that miracles only happen if God wills them—but if you believe this, it will really kill your faith! If you want to see miracles in your life, the first thing it’s going to take is getting out of the boat! In this series, Andrew shares many of the faith lessons he has learned from God’s Word about walking in the miraculous. If you will receive these truths, you can walk on water too.
http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/water_walker
It is true that some storms are of our own making. Jonah proved that (Jonah 1-3). Jonah ran from God, encountered a storm while on a ship, was thrown overboard, and wound up in the belly of a fish. But these disciples were smack dab in the center of God’s will when this storm hit in Matthew 14. I’m saying all this to point out that you can’t look at circumstances to tell you whether you are in God’s will. You need a word from God. You need an inner witness from the Holy Ghost that what you’re doing is what God told you to do. If you don’t have that, it will hinder you from seeing His power manifest in your life. When problems come, you’ll feel condemned and think, I brought this on myself; I deserve it. You need to know, first of all, that you are doing what God told you to do.
Most of these disciples were fishermen on that very lake. I personally believe that the reason Jesus had to constrain them to get into the boat was because they knew that the conditions were ripe for a storm, and they didn’t want to be out on the water. But if they had been thinking about the fact that Jesus had just fed 5,000 people, not including women and children (Matt. 14:15-21), then they would have expected a miracle, because they were only out there at Jesus’ direction. It wasn’t their wisdom. They never would have done this if it were up to them. But in the center of God’s will is where you can hope to see the miraculous!
You see, Jesus was aware of their situation, and He was responsible for them being there. You might be in a situation right now where you are facing absolute disaster financially, physically, emotionally, or in your relationships. Maybe nothing seems to be working. If you are there because of your own rebellion and disobedience to God, then you need to do what Jonah did in the belly of the fish—repent (Jon. 2:1-9). You need to say from your heart, “God, forgive me. I know I’ve been in rebellion toward You, but right now I make a change to follow You again.” Get out of rebellion and get to where you’re submitting to God. He loves you and wants to set you free.
So, are you a Peter or a Jonah? If you are in the midst of a storm and you know that you are there because you’ve been following God, then you need to recognize that the Lord is responsible for you. Where He guides, He also provides. That’s just a principle of God. Just as Jesus was aware of these disciples’ plight, He is aware of your situation.
God is in the midst of the storm with you, and He’s not there just as an observer. He cares for you more than you could possibly imagine. His power is present to set you free. Instead of expecting defeat, instead of meditating on tragedy, you need to expect a miracle from God. You’ve got to get away from doing everything in the natural and only depending upon God as a last resort. God ought to be your first resort. That’s what my series on How to Become a Water Walker is all about. God has miracles He’s wanting to manifest in your life. The story of Peter walking on the water is powerpacked with truths. Walk on top of your problems instead of being overcome by them.
Another powerful truth that is essential for the miraculous is that you have to be willing to get out of the boat before you walk on water. Most of the disciples were clinging to the slim hope that the boat gave them. They were in a raging storm, so it’s probable that the boat was filled with water just like another time on that sea (Mark 4:37). It was foolish to step out of the boat onto the water, but that’s what God told Peter to do. He had to go beyond his own ability and trust that God would keep him from sinking.
Likewise, many of us are afraid to step away from the world and out on the word that God has given us. We want the miraculous but don’t want to leave the relative safety of what everyone else is doing. But just like this boat, the world is in crisis. Without the Lord, it’s going to sink. Why are we so afraid to leave the mundane and trust God for a miracle? Peter was willing to risk it all.
As long as you can live without the miraculous power of God, you will. But there should be
something in you that is sick and tired of being sick and tired. God made each one of us for greatness, but not greatness by the world’s definition; the Lord wants to release His miracle-working power in you. He wants to make your life better than your biggest dream.
There are reasons that some people see miracles and others don’t. It’s not fate or luck. It’s not like lightning, where you never know when it will strike. God doesn’t pick and choose; there are principles we have to follow to see His power manifest. If you don’t understand that, that’s one of the reasons you’re having problems. But you, too, can see the miraculous power of God.
The instance where Peter walked on the water perfectly illustrates many of the truths that are essential to walking in the miraculous. This is recorded in Matthew 14:22-29.
And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him untothe other side, while he sent the multitudes away. [23] And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. [24] But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. [25] And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. [26] And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. [27] But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. [28] And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. [29] And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Notice in verse 22 that the Lord had to constrain His disciples to get into the ship. The word“constrained” means to compel or urge. In other words, this is saying that there was resistance on thedisciples’ part to do what Jesus said. But, to their credit, they went ahead and submitted themselves toHim. They were doing exactly what Jesus told them to do. That’s one of the essentials to receiving a miracle from God. And yet look what verse 24 says:
But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
Some people have the mistaken belief that if they are really following God, theneverything shouldbe smooth sailing. That’s how a lot of people discern whether they are in the will of God. They look at their circumstances, and if everything is just perfect, then it must be God. But thinking you have missed God just because you have a problem is absolutely incorrect. This instance proves that. They were doing exactly what the Lord told them to do.
If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Sadly most Christians don’t have any noticeable differences in their lives when compared to an unsaved person. That is not the way it’s supposed to be. GET OUT OF THE BOAT!
God intended for mankind to live in Him. As Acts 17:28 says, “In him we live, and move, and have our being.” He is absolutely supernatural. He is not limited by the things you see and experience here in this physical world. The normal Christian life is for you to be drawing upon God’s ability and power. Let me put it this way: If you aren’t walking in the supernatural, miraculous power of God, you are living below your privileges, in a substandard life. That might seem strong, but it’s true. If your life isn’t supernatural, then it’s superficial. I really believe that.
Someone might say, “But Peter began to sink.” That’s true. But Peter also walked on the water. That’s something that no one but Jesus is recorded in Scripture as doing. And when Peter began to sink, the Lord was right there to pick him up. He didn’t drown, and neither will you if you get out of the natural and begin to start walking in the supernatural.
Some of you might think, Well, I don’t need a miracle like this. I don’t need to walk on water. What does this have to do with my situation? Of course, I’m not saying that God wants you to go physically walk on water. The significance of this is that here was a situation where it looked like the disciples might be killed and Peter was able to walk on top of what was trying to kill him.
What’s trying to kill you? Is it sickness? How about financial problems or marital problems? Maybe it’s just the mundane. Many people are suffering from boredom. Whatever it is, God wants to release His miracle-working power in you and put you on top. But it’s up to you. It’s His power that performs the miraculous, but Peter didn’t see that power in operation until he took a step outside of the boat.
The exact same principles that operated in Peter’s life in order for him to walk on the water will work for you too! You need these principles operating in your life to receive the miraculous power of God.
God’s holy people, faithful in Christ
colossians1-110 colossians 1-1114
Colossians 1:1-14New International Version (NIV)
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father.[b]
Thanksgiving and Prayer
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant,[c] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[d] behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
History of John G. Lake:  A Man of Healing
If there was ever a man who walked in the revelation of “God in man,” it was John G. Lake. A man of purpose, vision, strength and character, his one goal in life was to bring the fullness of God to every person. He often said that the secret of heaven’s power was not in the doing, but in the being. He believed that Spirit-filled Christians should enjoy the same type of ministry Jesus did while living on earth, and that this reality could only be accomplished by seeing themselves as God saw them. John G. Lake lived his life and fulfilled his ministry in the earth with this type of spiritual understanding. If we would just grasp the reality of our position through Jesus Christ, as Lake did, every nation would ring with the praises of God.
  • was responsible for raising over 1,000,000 converts, 625 churches and 1,250 preachers in five years of ministry.
  • because of his resurrection revelation, had a deadly plague germ die in his hand, yet at the start of his ministry thought one could only be healed in Dr. Dowie’s Healing Home.
  • had such an incredible healing ministry, that according to statistics, the U.S. Government declared his city, Spokane, Washington, to be the healthiest city in America.
We have the River of Healing
Matthew 10:7-8 New Living Translation (NLT)
Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.[a] Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
  1. 10:7 Or has come, or is coming soon.
John 7:37-39New Living Translation (NLT)
Jesus Promises Living Water
37 On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! 38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”[a] 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given,[b] because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Ezekiel 47 New Living Translation (NLT)
The River of Healing
47 In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side. 2 The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway.
3 Measuring as he went, he took me along the stream for 1,750 feet[a] and then led me across. The water was up to my ankles. 4 He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was up to my knees. After another 1,750 feet, it was up to my waist. 5 Then he measured another 1,750 feet, and the river was too deep to walk across. It was deep enough to swim in, but too deep to walk through.
6 He asked me, “Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank. 7 When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river. 8 Then he said to me, “This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea.[b] The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure. 9 There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows.[c] Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows. 10 Fishermen will stand along the shores of the Dead Sea. All the way from En-gedi to En-eglaim, the shores will be covered with nets drying in the sun. Fish of every kind will fill the Dead Sea, just as they fill the Mediterranean.[d] 11 But the marshes and swamps will not be purified; they will still be salty. 12 Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”
JESUS HEALS: read the facts
We all have faith to receive healing. But some may not know how to exercise our faith receive. The more we know Jesus heals, the more we are able to use our faith to receive the healing Jesus has already done and given to us by bearing our sicknesses (through the stripes He had received prior to be crucified). Let us therefore read from the Gospel of Luke, about some aspects of His healing ministry while He was on earth. The Bible has declared, Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. His willingness to give us His healing has never changed. He heals.
The Holy Spirit is fully involved in healing.
 Luke 4:18
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
 Jesus heals instantly; in any place. In this case He heals in a private house.
 Luke 4:38
[ Peter’s Mother-in-Law Healed ] Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her.
 He heals all and everyone brought to Him; he heals various diseases, anytime.
 Luke 4:40
[ Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset ] When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them.
 He heals great number of people who heard about Him, came personally to hear Him, and then to be healed by Him.
 Luke 5:15
However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.
Jesus heals those who came with faith, to hear His teaching, and believe He has power to forgive sins and heal as well. The Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting by but they did not receive any healing because they did not believe Him.
 Luke 5:17-25 [ Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic ]
Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, … And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him… 20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”… 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
Jesus heals on any human date. He declared that healing is doing good and is above any law. He openly healed the sick in a public religious place.
 Luke 6:6-7
[ Healing on the Sabbath ] Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered. So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him. ..Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?”[b] 10 And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man,[c] “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.[d]
Jesus heals all: all who had need of healing, who came to hear Him and be healed of diseases and be set free from demonic torments. He healed with power that came out of Him. His power was evident to all.
 Luke 6:17-19
[ Jesus Heals a Great Multitude ] And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people …who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.
Luke 9:11
But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
 Jesus does not favor any particular group of people, any race or nationality, any social class, any gender, any age.
 Here are some examples of Him healing various individuals and His remarks on some:
 Jesus commended on the faith of a Roman centurion for healing for his servant.
 Luke 7:3=10
So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant…Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed…When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” 10 And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well who had been sick.[a]
 A woman healed of seven demons and later became one of the women disciples who followed Jesus in His ministry.
Luke 8:2-3 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demon, …and many others who provided for Him[a] from their substance.
 A man possessed by a legion of demons was healed and wanted to follow Jesus and be His disciple. But Jesus sent him to witness to his own home base (ten cities).
Luke 8:26-36
[ A Demon-Possessed Man Healed ] Then they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee…They also who had seen it told them by what means he who had been demon-possessed was healed.
 A dead girl was healed because her father believed and went to Jesus and invited Him to come to his house.
Luke 8:40 [ A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed ] So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. …52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But He put them all outside,[l] took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.
Jesus took note of a woman’s faith and courage and she was healed and made wgole completely.
Luke 8:43-48
Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any…Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. …48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer;[h] your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Jesus sent His disciples to heal too.
 Luke 9:2-6
He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick…So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
A case worth mentioning. A boy was healed. Jesus highlighted several issues: healing is the norm, not the exceptional; the need for faith; how to deal with the seemingly fierce demon (just command it and cast it out). He also brought out one significant reason for the inability of the disciples to heal: their unbelief despite having seen Jesus performing so many healings, and having used the power of Jesus to heal when sent out by Jesus. He later advised them that they could deal with their on unbelief by fasting and praying.
 Luke 9:37-42
37 Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him. 38 Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child. 39 And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him. 40 So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.”
41 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.” 42 And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.
Another case worth mentioning: Ten lepers were cleansed. Only one was healed because he had faith in Jesus. He saw he was healed and came back to Jesus and gave testimony and glory to God.
 Luke 17:12 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” 14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” 15 And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,… 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
Jesus still heals. He never stopped. He healed his enemy’s servant even in the midst of Jesus’ own arrest with intent to kill Jesus eventually. What a Savior! What a Healer! Jesus.
Luke 22:51 But Jesus answered and said, “Permit even this.” And He touched his ear and healed him.
testimony : A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
Wherever Jesus goes, there is healing and restoration of life. He spoke and lived Good News. His life is the Good News. he never changes. today he is still the good news for everyone who believes!
A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed
21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” 37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. 39 When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.”
40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying. 41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” 42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. 43 But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.  (Mark 5)
John 10:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 14:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
Jesus the healer1 Peter 2:24 New Living Translation (NLT)
24 He personally carried our sins
    in his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
    and live for what is right.
By his wounds
    you are healed.
the healed good news: have faith in God
God didn’t give me big faith and somebody else a little faith.  Today we revise the subject of grace and faith again and the revealed truth that you’ve already got it, the faith of the Son of God that enables you to receive the healing that Jesus has already accomplished for you! How to know this and how to release and use them? Here is the answer.
Excerpts quoted from Andrew Wommack’s article on this very important truth below:
quote: “What do you need the Lord to do for you? Do you need the Lord to heal you? How about prosperity? Could you use more money? The truth is, you don’t need the Lord to do anything for you. He’s already done His part. You’ve already got it, whatever “it” is.
This may sound crazy to some of you. You might be thinking, But I’ve got a doctor’s report to prove I don’t have healing or You haven’t seen my bank account. But regardless of what the natural facts are, the truth is that God has already given you whatever you need.
Second Peter 1:3 says, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
The only thing we are lacking is knowledge.
Most Christians believe that God can do anything, but many of them don’t believe He has done very much. They live in a constant state of trying to get God to do something. They are begging God to move through revival, healing, prosperity, etc. They run from meeting to meeting, trying to get something from God. But they’ve already got it.
The Bible says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.  Ephesians 1:3
This says He “hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings,” meaning it’s already done. You already have all spiritual blessings. So, asking God or waiting on Him to bless you is counterproductive. And yet the average Christian starts from that position. If they’re sick in their bodies, instead of starting from “by His stripes, I was healed” (1 Pet. 2:24) or “I have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead living in me” (Eph. 1:19-20), they’ll take the doctor’s report or the pain in their bodies and say, “I’m sick. God, will You heal me?” They start moving toward victory instead of coming from victory!
One time, I was praying for healing for my son, who was very little at the time. I wasn’t seeing him healed, so asked God, “What’s wrong?” The Lord spoke to me, “You’re fighting to get your son healed instead of fighting because he is healed.” You might say, “I don’t see the difference.” There’s a huge difference! The Lord told me that instead of defending my son’s healing and just releasing what Jesus already provided, I was trying to get Him to do something.
If you didn’t understand this, then I can guarantee you, this is one of the main reasons you aren’t receiving from God. You need to get a revelation of this. Jesus has already provided everything you will ever need. You’re blessed with all spiritual blessings—all of them!
The key for me understanding these things was the revelation the Lord gave me that I’ve entitled Spirit, Soul & Body. God is a Spirit (John 4:24), and He moves in the spiritual realm. Whether or not we see a physical manifestation of what He has done in the spiritual realm is dependent upon what we believe and how we act, not on what He has done. It’s not up to the Lord to heal us; He’s already healed us (1 Pet. 2:24). But He gave His miraculous power to us to release….
There is more going on than just what you can perceive with your five senses. There is more than just your soulish, emotional realm. There is a spirit on the inside of you, and there is a spiritual realm, where God has already done His part. If you don’t relate to it properly, you’re going to be hit and miss in the Christian life, which has led to so much weirdness in the body of Christ. You need to live from the standpoint that God has already done it. He’s provided everything you need. It’s not a matter of trying to get God to move in your life; it’s a matter of you moving over into agreement with Him and receiving what He has already provided. ”
Healing call for all who hear and believe
As the clock continues to tick on an irreversible path, the call for those who need healing is accelerating too. Many do not know they are appointed to live a full age in Jesus’ abundant life and continue to remain in their suffering from all kinds of diseases and pains. This health blogger’s call to you: there is a better way to what you have already been through. Please take heed. By faith take the words of God and live a better life.
God is the true Healer. The Bible has clearly stated that you have already been healed. Here are the verses: (boldness added)
Exodus 15:26 [Full Chapter] (KJV) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.exodus-15-vs-26
Isaiah 53  (KJV) (Jesus has taken all our diseases and pain on Himself)
Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
John 10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door for the sheep.
All others who came [as such] before Me are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not listen to and obey them.
I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture.
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
A Move of God
witness and take part in the power of the move of
God today !
I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.
Refrain
I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.
Refrain
I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.
Refrain
I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.
Jesus is the sweetest name I know !
  1. There have been names that I have loved to hear,
    But never has there been a name so dear
    To this heart of mine, as the name divine,
    The precious, precious name of Jesus.
    • Refrain:
      Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
      And He’s just the same as His lovely name,
      And that’s the reason why I love Him so;
      Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.
  2. There is no name in earth or Heav’n above,
    That we should give such honor and such love
    As the blessed name, let us all acclaim,
    That wondrous, glorious name of Jesus.
  3. And someday I shall see Him face to face
    To thank and praise Him for His wondrous grace,
    Which He gave to me, when He made me free,
    The blessed Son of God called Jesus.
Lela B. Long, bef.1925
There is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
There’ll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be
armor of God for the healed: Jesus teaches the power of prayers
jesus-christ-in-gethsemaneJesus has taught His disciples the power of effectual prayers. He taught in words as well as in deed. Let us learn today from the Scriptures how the Son of God Himself has used prayers mightily as a piece of powerful armor. More so, how He lived a lifestyle of prayers!
Jesus’ birth was associated with prayers. The sending of the voice in the wilderness, John the Baptist, to prepare the arrival of Jesus the Messiah, was the fulfillment of the prayers of Zacharias, a man of God and a priest.
Luke 1:13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
This is also a fulfillment of the prayers of a prophetess of 84 years old, who had been fasting and praying in the temple for the coming of the Messiah since widowed after seven years of marriage.
Luke 2:37 and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day.
When and what Jesus Prayed for, and the outcome of His prayers
Luke 3:21 [ John Baptizes Jesus ] When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.
Luke 5:15-16 15 However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. 16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.
Luke 6:12-13 12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:
Luke 6:28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
Luke 9:18 [ Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ ] And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”
Luke 9:28-30 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray. 29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening. 30 And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah,
What Jesus asked the disciples to pray for
Luke 10:2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”
Jesus taught His disciples the importance of prayers
Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 22:40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
Luke 22:41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,22:44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
22:45 When He rose up from prayer, and had come to His disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. 46 Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.”
Jesus prayed for His disciples and those who believe in Him even today!
John 17:9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
The power and glory of God manifest mightily as we focus on Him alone . He is God alone.
Say yes to God’s healing ! No to sicknesses !
the knowledge of this truth that will set you free to receive from God
The problem why Christians do not receive their healing or other blessings is not that we have no faith or do not believe that God heals. The main obstacle is we do not know the whole bible truth. So often we spend a lot of precious praying and pleading to God to give what He has given. Our only task is simply to know how to receive and just do it ! I have found this following teaching (excerpts quoted here; please click on the links to read in full and download the audio in the original web site).
_________________Be blessed!
You’ve Already Got It! By Andrew Wommack http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/already_got
On March 23, 1968, I had a miraculous encounter with the Lord that changed my life forever. Instantly, I received “revelation knowledge” that I’m still trying to understand and communicate today.
This knowledge didn’t come through the normal channels of study and education; the Spirit of God supernaturally imparted it to me. When I came heart to heart with the Lord, I just knew things about Him intuitively. One of those revelations has become a mainstay for what the Lord has accomplished in my life, and it’s one of the most important and foundational truths of the Gospel.
It’s the knowledge that God has already done His part. When Jesus cried “It is finished” (John 19:30), He meant just that. His work on earth was done. The Atonement was complete. He provided everything we could ever need. We aren’t waiting on Him to give; He is waiting on us to receive.
The book of Ephesians is written from the perspective of everything already being ours in Christ. It starts in Ephesians 1:3 by saying, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (emphasis mine).
Any blessing you could ever need or desire from the Lord is not something to strive for but something you already have. God made the provision before you had the need. It is just a simple matter of receiving what He has already done. The benefit of understanding and being assured of this is enormous. It kills legalism and the performance mentality, and that takes a huge load off of you. How could you doubt that God will give you something if He’s already given it to you?…
First Peter 2:24b says, “By whose stripes ye were healed” (emphasis mine). It’s already a done deal. It is actually incorrect to pray for healing. Instead, we should just receive the healing that the Lord has already provided.
There is a difference between fighting to get healed and fighting because we have been healed. That difference is the difference between success and failure. In Ephesians 2:8, Paul said, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. We aren’t saved by grace alone or by faith alone; we are saved by a combination of the two.
Actually, faith isn’t true biblical faith unless its used in receiving what God has already provided by grace. Grace is what God has already done for us, independent of any worth or value on our part. If it’s tied to some goodness of ours, then it’s not true grace.
God, by grace, has already provided everything we will ever need. Our faith doesn’t move God. If God hasn’t already moved by His grace, then your faith can’t make Him. Faith simply appropriates what God has already provided by grace. If He’s already provided your needs by His grace, then faith is just your positive response to what He has already done—not something you do to get God to respond to you. It takes a revelation from the Holy Spirit to make these truths become alive on the inside. ..
The truth is that the Lord has already provided everything we will ever need, but His provision is in the spiritual realm. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). God moves in the spiritual realm. Whether or not we see manifest in the physical realm what He has done in the spiritual realm is not dependent on His giving but on our receiving…
We have to know that God has already done His part and that any delay in our manifestation is not His fault. That will keep us in faith. Remember that faith is our positive response to what God has already done by grace… The Bible says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Knowing the truth, not binding the devil in prayer, is what sets people free. …
But I have gone in depth about this in my teaching entitled You’ve Already Got It! If you aren’t experiencing the abundance that you know the Lord wants you to have, then I can guarantee you that the revelation you need is in this message… It’s the knowledge of this truth that will set you free to receive from God. click this following link to listen to or download the complete MP3 audio teaching: http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1033 You've Already Got It
lesson: He rushed at the giant!
andrew wommack DavidIntroducing excerpts/quotes from Lessons From DavidBy Andrew Wommack
“Whatever problem you’re facing today—whether in your finances, in your health, in your marriage, or wherever—your problem is not bigger than what David faced. He had to deal with a real, live giant. And the qualities God instilled in David that enabled him to succeed will work for you too.
“This happens all the time. People will tell you your faith in God won’t overcome your giants. But if you persist, then they will try to give you their advice on how to fight the battle.
“Next, David had to endure the mockery of his enemy, Goliath.
“Don’t think that just because you’re armed with what God has given you that the giants in your life will be intimidated by you. But you’ve got to be bold and stand strong in the face of the enemy, like David did:
“But David wasn’t all talk! Look what he did when Goliath approached him:
“David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
1 Samuel 17:48b
“The Spirit of the Lord was on David; he wasn’t afraid! He rushed at this giant.
“You’ve got to pursue your enemies until they can’t come back!
“We sometimes just fight our enemies until they go over the hill. They are left to fight us another day. We only fight sickness until it gets to where it’s not too bad—we can live with the rest. But David pursued his enemies until they were destroyed. They could never come back to fight him. First Samuel 30:10-18 is a good example of this, where David pursued the Amalekites until he had recovered all he had lost.
“People don’t like to face giants, but David wouldn’t have been a hero if he had slain a midget.
“David’s victory over Goliath catapulted him into his destiny. Likewise, whatever giant you are facing can become the greatest victory in your life as you stand on God’s Word and overcome it. I remember when my son died. It was a terrible thing. But because Jamie and I stood against this giant that tried to take our son, we now have a glorious testimony of his resurrection that we have rubbed the devil’s nose in countless times. Praise God! Your victory is coming too. ”
quote: “The Healing Team Ministry was founded in 1995 as an outreach to the area surrounding our ministry in Augusta. The purpose of the Healing Team is to take the healing power of God’s Word to those who are home-bound or presently hospitalized within a 100-mile radius of Augusta, GA. Our Healing Team members will travel to you at their own expense so that you will have the opporunity to experience the healing power of God. A Healing Team can be requested by the one who is seriously ill or by the responsible family member. For those who are not home-bound or hospitalized, we invite you to visit our Healing Center located in Augusta, GA.
Below are a few testimonies that have been seen through the Healing Teams:
– A 2-year old was run over by a truck and was in a coma. He sustained severe head injuries with brain damage. A Healing Team was requested who went to the hospital, prayed for the child, and spoke with the parents about God’s healing power. A couple of weeks later, the child was out of the coma, sitting up, eating, and talking. He has since fully recovered.
– A woman was in a coma for months after a car accident. Doctors had given up any hope and recommended taking her off life support. She was visited by a healing team and a few days later woke up out of the coma. Nurses called her the “miracle patient.”
– A man had a tractor fall on him, severely damaging his right arm. The doctors said they would have to amputate the arm. A healing team went to see him and 25 days later, he was released from the hospital with all injuries healed. No amputation was needed.
According to the Word of God, healing is still for today and it has been purchased for you! Through our healing ministries, many have come to know Jesus as their healer. If he has done it for one he will do it again for you. healing team session3
