how to walk with Jesus physically

In this passion week, we read of how the disciples walk with Jesus in His last ministry on earth. Today we divert to read some excerpts from a missionary in his autobiography about his physical walking with Jesus.

Natural and Supernatural (Continued) Walking
Walking was more of an asset than a hindrance. Walking is considered the best kind of body exercise, and my example by walking was a help in making right contact. I walked thousands of miles over tiresome mountain trails. Many and many a day I walked as much as twelve hours in one day, from before dawn till after dark, a distance of thirty-five miles. One time when suffering from indigestion I was enabled by the Lord to walk twenty miles a day for three days in succession without more food than I would normally have eaten in one meal. Even so, I did not become fully exhausted. Although in the early days of my work in Ka Do Land I worked my way along many a weary mile over many a trying trail, at the same time I got the help of the Lord in a special way whereby the supernatural supplemented the natural. After a long hard day’s walk, followed by a meeting at night, the next day I sometimes felt so tired and weak that I wondered how I could possibly make the stage ahead of me over another long, hard trail. It all looked like a big mountain ahead of me. Many a time, after starting the day in this weak condition, I would begin to feel refreshed. The farther I walked the easier it became and the fresher I felt. I have ended such days not feeling at all tired. I may have started the day feeling too tired to walk at all, and then after walking twenty miles ended that day feeling as refreshed as though I had not walked at all. God can work miracles when need be. In later years when my work had become systematic, walking became easier. In looking over some of my letters that my wife published in our paper I was surprised how often in my letters to her I found this sentence: “Today I walked twenty miles without fatigue.”
Page 377
In all, how many miles did I walk? I had no pedometer. However, I knew that when walking on level ground at an easy, normal gait my average was three miles an hour. When the distance in miles was unknown, my method of reckoning was to keep a record of how many hours I walked. Although in ascending mountains my average would sometimes be less than three miles an hour, nevertheless, the energy required would be greater than necessary for walking the same number of hours on level ground. By adding to known distances the distance reckoned by walking- hours the sum total of my walking itineraries to and from and in Ka Do Land amounted to nineteen thousand and two hundred miles. How far is nineteen thousand miles anyway? I assume that would be equivalent to a walk around the world at my latitude near the tropic. How far is it from New York to San Francisco/ How many times could I have walked across the United States before exhausting my nineteen thousand miles?

About This Testimony:
Missionary to Tibet, China, and Formosa:
Such a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit onto little poor Chinese Orphans, showing what is only possible when God’s anointing is at work. This book documents the visions and miracles that happened when revival broke out in their midst. The children saw angels, demons, heaven, hell, etc. They related their experiences to missionary H. A. Baker and his wife Josephine, who oversaw the orphanage where the children lived. The visions changed the children’s lives and behaviors. The children would lay or sit still for hours as if in a trance, and would reported their visions to the Bakers, who faithfully documented them.  Young children (new believers) who were untrained and ignorant of spiritual truths, spoke in the 1st person of Jesus with such boldness and eloquence, and as powerful as any old testament prophet, demonstrating the power of God on those who are surrendered to Him.

a testimony from this blogger: transformed by the reality of a personal God

I was led to (more seriously) walk this journey in the Holy Spirit about ten years ago. My life has been totally made over and drastically transformed from a self-centered Christian who preferred the comfort zone, to the person whom God has originally designed and called me to be.

I am happy to testify that the journey is worth more than fine gold. I thank God who personally intervened in my life. He never abandoned me and in truth He lifted me up from the miry slippery spiritual snare and placed my feet on high and solid ground with Him. He filled me with His love and, yes, His Son. From a distance (in cold religious self-righteous stance) I have moved into personal relationship with my God, my Father in heaven, Jesus my Lord and my Savior, Holy Spirit, my teacher and my life power source.

Amongst other things He did, He put good teaching by Spirit and faith filled and Word believing disciples of Jesus into me.I have introduced many classic ones in this blog and other blogs.
Today I would mention a few of the contemporary ones (from whose teachings and lifestyle I have benefited).

They are familiar names to many. I would just add here some of the latest resources from them. I pray that all readers of this blog will be blessed too. They have led my eyes to focus on the trinity God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They have helped me to focus on the solid living words of God, which is life, and spirit, just as Jesus has declared.God and His Word have become real to me. They are real. This knowledge is not just in my soul, it is in my spirit. The personal reality of God as revealed to me has converted me.

They are (in chronological order of my exposure to their teachings): Joseph Prince (his earlier teachings on grace), Andrew Wommack (his all time teachings of the Bible), Heidi Baker (her personal relationship with God and her life testimonies), and Sandra Kennedy (her Whole Life Ministries’ worship and healing teachings; current prophetic messages). In addition, I also encountered solid prophetic Bible based teachings (often healing related) from several Asian pastors.

I would describe this unusual combination of ‘mentors’ the ‘right’ combination only my Father God can design for me at this season of my life. God knows. He cares. he provides. Always at the right time, the right place, with the right focus.

I am not saying that anyone of them is perfect. I just want to express my appreciation and thankfulness for the very important teachings they have given and are still giving, and in some cases, even free of charge.

I shall continue to introduce to readers, from time to time, materials which I have been led in my spirit to pass on to you at a particular time. Someone somewhere needs that material. I believe.

Here is what I have found today and would like to share with you:

rejoice in the day of Christ !

rejoice in the day of Christ
rejoice in the day of Christ

Rejoice! this is the word for all God’s Way followers! Be joined to the Lord Jesus, become one spirit with Him! We have the mind of Christ. Christ has become our wisdom, our righteousness, our justification, sanctification, redemption! Rejoice in the Lord always!

A gift to you: the key to healing the sick and suffering

This is again the message on this eleventh hour, the issue of Jesus’ redemption, once and for all, for healing of our bodies, deliverance from oppressions and mind and emotional sufferings, and saving of our souls. The first key “No Condemnation” is of utmost importance. The reason why many healing rooms fail is because the ‘sick’ are made to feel condemned and had lapsed into using works and efforts to substitute the mighty work of the Holy Spirit. The healing gift of God is free as His Son had paid for all, by His own life. He shed His precious blood and had His body broken and pierced for us. There is nothing we can do to add even one bit more of the  chances of healing. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Grace means freely given undeserved favor from God. God has declared: there is none righteous before Him. Don’t be deceived to think that you need to deserve before you can be healed. The truth is, Jesus had healed you by His stripes (wounds) two thousand years ago! Receive now, by faith!

Romans 8

New King James Version (NKJV)

1. No condemnation – For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

2. Know we have Sonship Through the Spirit – the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

3. Expect suffering as heirs with Christ, and know that Glory far exceeds suffering. The Spirit of God helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us. God has called us according to His purpose and He causes all things to work for our good, for we love God.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

4. God’s Everlasting Love for us cannot be overridden. God is for us. Christ had died for us. Christ loves us. he makes intercession for us. Through His love, we are more than conquerors!

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christmas present from heaven: be saved! Be healed!

One Biblical way of celebrating this season is to read the whole Bible in one continuous sitting, from beginning to the end. Jesus said, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Reading the whole Bible together as a church (a group of Christians taking turn) would take about 72 hours depending on the language proficiency of those who read. While waiting for their turns the participants can sit around or rest anywhere within hearing distance. Be awed by the presence of the spiritual God. The Word is God. The Word became man as Jesus. Be transformed while you abide in Him and His words abide in you during this season of waiting upon the Lord as the ultimate celebration of Jesus’ birth. Let the Holy Spirit breathe life on you.

For those who gather together as one family or a few families (as in house church), you may choose to read the New testament only. It will take about 17-19 hours in one sitting. The result will be great for each participant. This is the best present you can receive from your heavenly Father! This blogger has done this on my own and it took me about a week, resting in between reading. Something broke through.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.   John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.  Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. 1 Peter 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.   John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
First verse of the Bible: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Last 2 verses of the Bible: Revelation 22:20-21 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

______________Luke 24:44-49 (highlight added by this watchman)

44 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ 48 You are witnesses of all these things.

49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

Amen. bible_study_candlelight

Journey to see God: and He said, ‘Don’t be troubled or afraid!’

Today’s message is “Don’t be troubled or afraid!”

don't be afraid!
don’t be afraid!

God’s solution: positive voice amidst fear over sickness and disaster

This psalm speaks of four parties. I have divided the verses according to these parties with my notes in brackets. This is for today and all the days when you see the descriptions of this psalm around you. You will not be afraid when you know what happens in the spiritual realm and that our God has made a provision for such days for His people, those who are called by His name.

The four parties are: God; the psalmist witness; you and I (those who have believed in Jesus and are now in God’s Kingdom); the wicked (those who are still outside God’s Kingdom) in God’s eyes.

Psalm 91

New King James Version (NKJV)

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

(the witness speaks and testifies of what God shall do for His own children in His Kingdom)

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
(God has a place called ‘secret place’ under His protection. He wants you to live in that place. Where is it? It is right under His shadow, in His presence.)
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
(We have absolute security there. But we need to say to ourselves, and proclaim this truth. This spoken word shall be our shield and buckler, the armor that we must put on at all times.)
_______________________
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
(The dangers are real. But God is real and can be trusted. Surely He shall do as He has said. These words of deliverance from actual trap and potential harm are real. God has spoken through the psalmist witness, who knows God and has experienced God. God will do just as He has promised. How shall we receive the protection?  By believing in and proclaiming His words, which are truth. The truth will set us free from any dangerous situations we may be in.)
_______________________
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
(The threats and attacks are real. They can come in any forms, intensities, impacts, times. They cause massive destruction, fears and even death. But our position in Christ is secure. We can even witness the physical damages to people around us.)
_______________________
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
(How do we receive such supernatural protection? The psalmist witness spoke again. Only one condition is needed; that we make God our dwelling place. In God’s presence, no evil spiritual forces or the use of any forms of physical attacks can come near our location, because we live and position ourselves before God in Christ. Our daily movements will be guarded by God’s mighty angels, spiritual guards. We have our protection in the spiritual realm. Who are the enemies? a ‘stone’, something to stumble us and make us fall. ‘Serpents and lions’. Spiritual beings.
 There are two scenario here: when we rest, we are safe in God’s presence. When we need to move and carry out our assignments in life, mighty angels will assist us in the spiritual realm.)
 _______________________
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
(God has spoken here. He tells us why He is pleased to deliver and even honor us. he expects us to love Him and know His name, having a close relationship with Him. He has assured again He is pleased to give long life and salvation to us.)
___________In conclusion:

Psalm 92:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV) Praise to the Lord for His Love and Faithfulness A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.
92 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night…Oswald_Chambers_quote on relationship with God

What an honor it is to serve a KING who heals by His love

Today we read a testimony of healing by Jesus.

by Cal Pierce, 8/23/2013

Michelle and I just returned from an Ohio State Healing Rooms Conference. I want to share with you two amazing testimonies that came out of that conference.

During the first meeting on Friday evening, I noticed two people in wheelchairs. Before ministry time began, I was asking the Holy Spirit how He wanted me to begin. Usually I would ask the ministry team to come forward, then give words of knowledge and have people come and get prayer from the team. This time, however, the Holy Spirit said invite the two people in wheelchairs to come forward.

This could have been a little intimidating, as the first person was a young man in his twenties paralyzed from his neck down and using a breathing tube. He was paralyzed four years earlier in an accident. I first broke off trauma then called back life into his body. I asked the Holy Spirit to quicken his limbs.

After praying, I asked the ministry team to continue to pray for him as I moved on to the lady who was in the other wheelchair. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was given only months to live because of terminal cancer. First I said you have a God who isn’t terminal and gives life and life abundantly and spoke to her that she shall live and not die and she will proclaim the word of the Lord. I then took authority over the cancer and released the anointing into her body.

The next morning, after the first session, I was standing up front when three ladies walked up to me with big smiles on their faces. I greeted them and one lady asked, “Do you recognize this lady?”, referring to the lady in the middle. I thought, where did I see her last, maybe at the conference somewhere? Then the lady said, with excitement, “This is the woman in the wheelchair you prayed for last night!”

That so caught me off guard that I said, “Are you sure?” Of course they were sure. She was standing right there, absolutely normal and healed. The woman said she got up that morning and discovered she had been healed overnight. She had a tumor that protruded on her side and it was gone. All pain was gone and she could walk with strength.

Boy, did we shout with glory to God! This just points out the fact that when you pray, you don’t have to see something, you just have to know something. Just know that Jesus is the healer.

When we arrived home, we received a text from our state directors that the paralyzed young man in the wheelchair is now kicking his legs out for the first time as he is also receiving his healing. All I can say is wow! wow! wow!, our God heals.

What an honor it is to serve a King who heals by His love and to see His love expressed through all who pray in Healing Rooms around the world.

___________________Notes from this blogger:

Healing room is based on a legacy from the following man:

Quoted: ” A Man of Healing

John G. Lake A Man of Healing If there was ever a man who walked in the revelation of “God in man,” it was John G. Lake. A man of purpose, vision, strength and character, his one goal in life was to bring the fullness of God to every person. He often said that the secret of heaven’s power was not in the doing, but in the being. He believed that Spirit-filled Christians should enjoy the same type of ministry Jesus did while living on earth, and that this reality could only be accomplished by seeing themselves as God saw them. John G. Lake lived his life and fulfilled his ministry in the earth with this type of spiritual understanding. If we would just grasp the reality of our position through Jesus Christ, as Lake did, every nation would ring with the praises of God.

John G. Lake was known as God’s “Apostle to Africa”. Born in Canada in 1870, his family soon relocated to the United States, where he grew up. His healing and preaching ministry spanned the years 1898 (when he saw his wife instantly healed under the ministry of John Alexander Dowie) until his death in 1935. In 1908, God sent him to Africa, where his anointed miracle ministry resulted in what has been described as “the most extensive and powerful missionary movement in all Africa.” As Gordon Lindsay wrote, “during that time he spent five history-making years in South Africa, engaged in a ministry which in some respects rivaled that of the Early Church.” Upon his return to America, Lake established a ministry in Spokane, Washington which resulted in no less than 100,000 astounding miracles of healing within the space of five or six years. He then established a similar work in Portland, Oregon, which also attracted widespread attention.”

How To: Flow In The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit

1031 - How to Flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit - CD -SA.inddHow To: Flow In The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
By Andrew Wommack

free audio download of complete teachings here at: http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/flow_gifts

I believe that one of the biggest reasons that the body of Christ hasn’t made a greater impact on our generation today is because of our failure to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt, Jesus and the first apostles used the gifts like a bell, calling men to their message and confirming that God was truly the One speaking through them.

Hebrews 2:3-4 says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” The Lord bore witness to the accuracy of their message through miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said all true believers would flow in the miraculous: “And these signs will follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” If a Christian’s life isn’t supernatural, it’s superficial.

Mark goes on to say that messages based in God’s Word would be confirmed by signs following: “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Jesus even said, “If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not” (John 10:37). That’s a strong statement. If we were to apply that standard to ministers today, most wouldn’t be believed.

The vast majority of preaching done in the name of the Lord today is without the power of the Holy Spirit manifest through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is not the way the Lord intended it to be.

The “main line” denominations have developed doctrines to cope with this obvious discrepancy. However, regardless of the rationale, it’s absurd to think that we can be effective without the power of the Holy Spirit confirming the preaching of God’s Word. If Jesus and the early apostles needed their preaching validated, how can we do any less?

Even the non-denominational churches have fallen away from ministering in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts that operate in most “Spirit-filled” churches are simply words of exhortation or prophecy. There is much more.

The Lord has used the gifts of the Holy Spirit mightily in my life and ministry to confirm His Word. There are countless times when people were still skeptical after hearing me teach, but the demonstration of God’s power through the gifts turned them into believers. It’s like the teaching fills their mouths with God’s Word, then the gifts of the Holy Spirit slap them on the back and make them swallow it. Hallelujah!

One of the most important steps to flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to earnestly desire them. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:31, “But covet earnestly the best gifts.” He repeated that thought in 1 Corinthians 14:1 when he said, “Desire spiritual gifts.” Another way of saying this is, as long as you can live without flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you will. You have to seek these gifts with all your heart (Jer. 29:13).

It’s also very important to understand that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are always flowing. God doesn’t turn them “on” and “off.” We are the ones who are “on” or “off.” That’s a startling statement to many people and one that verges on blasphemy to some, but it’s true. The Lord is always ready to flow through us in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It’s just like praying in tongues. We don’t have to wait for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to come on us to speak in tongues. We can pray in tongues at any time. It’s not us turning on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always on and giving us the ability to speak in tongues. Therefore, whenever we turn ourselves on, the gift of tongues is there to allow us to communicate with our heavenly Father. Praise the Lord! That’s the way it is with all the gifts.

I remember one time that I was teaching along these lines in our Charis Bible College. One of the students said, “So, you are saying that you can flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit at any time?” I said, “That’s right and I’ll prove it to you.” I then started down each row and just started “reading the students’ mail. I was telling them things that had to be coming from the Holy Spirit. It was awesome.

No one has received everything that the Holy Spirit has for them. Therefore, the Lord is always seeking to release more to us through His supernatural gifts. Whenever we put ourselves in a mode to be His channel, His gifts will flow. The old “Pentecostal” doctrine of the anointing coming and going is not a New Testament truth.

First John 2:27 says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.”

Another great truth about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is …”the divine flow.” This is based on, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). Therefore, whenever we discern the love of God flowing through us toward someone, God is reaching out to them through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. All we have to do is follow that flow through faith.

Once when I was pastoring a little church in Pritchett, Colorado, my heart just went out to a woman in the back of the room. I’d never seen her before, and there was nothing natural that drew me to her. It was just the love of God flowing through me to her. Because of that love alone, I told her that God had a word for her. I didn’t have one single word to say to her, but I knew God’s love was flowing; and therefore, God and His gifts were flowing to her. I just started by saying, “God loves you.” God then flooded my mind with things to minister to her.

It was a long word from the Lord, but I specifically told her about how she was grieving over the loss of someone and was confused about why God allowed it. I kept saying, “It wasn’t God that allowed it. It was the Destroyer.” I said that a number of times. She broke down in tears and was really ministered to.

After the service, she told me that she had just lost her son to leukemia. They believed that God allowed this disease. But just before her son died, he saw this huge demon over their town, which the Lord told him was named the Destroyer. They didn’t know how to interpret that until I spoke to them through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and put it all in order. They were set free.

This was the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom in operation. God gave the knowledge of what had happened and then gave words of wisdom to instruct them on how to deal with it. This all came because I followed the love that I felt in my heart.

This has happened to us all, but most of the time we don’t understand this is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and we miss an opportunity. I’ve learned this the hard way.

There was a man who had been my youth director when I was just a young boy. He left our Baptist church before I was a teenager, and I heard how he had been baptized in the Holy Spirit and was seeing great miracles happen. He had one room in his church that was filled with the wheelchairs, crutches, and braces of people who were healed and didn’t need them anymore.

During a three- or four-month period of time, I thought about this man often. It was usually while I was in prayer that he would just come to mind, and I would feel the compassion of God toward him. I would just wonder what was happening with him and then dismiss the thoughts. Later, I found that he had died in a freak accident where a red ant bit him on the thumb.

As soon as I heard of his death, I knew that the reason I had been thinking of him so often was because the Lord was trying to get me to intercede for him. Over a decade later, I met this man’s son, and I confessed to him my failure to pray for his dad. He told me that I was at least the twelfth person who had told him a similar story. The Lord had impressed many of us to intercede for this man, but none of us recognized it as the Lord.

It is imperative that we learn to recognize and flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It’s not only a blessing to us, but the lives of other people may depend on it. You are carrying someone’s miracle. Don’t let it stay inside. You have to learn how to release it.

There is much more that the Lord has shown me about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This article doesn’t come close to covering all the material I have on my series entitled, How To: Flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I really encourage you to get this teaching and start moving supernaturally in a whole new way.

My new three-part album is laced with personal examples of how the Lord has used me in the gifts. I share how I learned to recognize and respond to God’s gifts in such a practical way that I know it will help you to do the same. This is very practical teaching about a very supernatural lifestyle. It’s awesome!

___________________________Watchman’s notes:

Indeed the flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit has built up many of the believers even in a tiny community where the watchman resides currently. The Lord means every word that has proceeded out of His mouth. Jesus has confirmed this truth. He has declared in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Journey to see God: be strengthened with all might

Today the 5am Bible reading brethren in Christ read Colossians 1 and John 14, referring to Ephesians 1& 3, and 1 John (on praying God’s will).

Here are diagrams that help us to understand and memorize God’s words.

Colossians 1:2-12 Be filled with the knowledge of God's will

Colossians 1:2-12 Be filled with the knowledge of God’s will

Colossians 1:13-20 The beloved Son of God -Jesus

Colossians 1:13-20 The beloved Son of God -Jesus

Colossians 1:9

King James Version (KJV)

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 1:11

King James Version (KJV)

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

God’s Way: John 14 “If you love Me…” (Jesus said)

John 14 is a crucial chapter for all who follow Jesus. Here are two diagrams for the ease of memorizing the crucial verses.

SEE HOW YOU MAY KEEP YOUR IN CHRIST POSITION!

"If you love Me, you will keep My word"

“If you love Me, you will keep My word”

"the Father who dwells in Me does the works"

“the Father who dwells in Me does the works”

The watchman prays that the “eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of your calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places…” (Ephesians 1:18-20)

God laid my sins on Jesus

God laid my sins on Jesus

 Jesus for-me
  1. God laid my sins on Jesus,
    His spotless, holy Lamb;
    Instead of me, God cursed Him,
    Now full released I am.
    Upon His faultless Lamb, God
    Was pleased my faults to lay,
    That He for me should suffer,
    My debt of sin to pay.
  2. My sickness laid on Jesus,
    The lash for me endured;
    My weaknesses He carried
    That I be fully cured.
    My misery on Jesus,
    He bore it all for me;
    My sorrow He abolished
    And gave me joy and peace.
  3. I now have rest in Jesus,
    My King of Righteousness;
    His death met God’s demand, and
    His blood my conscience cleansed.
    Now all my trust’s in Jesus,
    My strength for ev’ry hour;
    His living shows God’s riches,
    His life in me empow’rs.
  4. I give my heart to Jesus,
    That there He’d be enthroned
    To be my Lord and life, and
    In me to make His home.
    According to His pattern
    I hope to live each day;
    His attitude and actions
    May He through me display!

Power in the blood of Jesus

more than conquerors
more than conquerors

John 12:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

John 12:23-25 (in Context) John 12 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

Many Christians are weak and often feel defeated and depressed, mainly because they are not aware of and/or are convinced in the power of the blood of the Lamb (Jesus). The following Bible verses clearly declare the truth that there is power in the blood of Jesus Christ. For example, how did the Christians overcome the devil? The answer is in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him (devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love heir lives to the death.”
Knowing the Bible verses and read them often, you will have twofold benefits: able to stand and resist the devil, carrying the powerful spiritual weapon, the word of God (the sword of the Spirit); your faith will increase and it is also spiritual armor (shield of faith, with which you can extinguish the fiery darts of the devil).
All Christians should read these Bible verses, know them well, believe in and use them often. You will be amazed at the power of the word of God.
