how to walk with Jesus physically

In this passion week, we read of how the disciples walk with Jesus in His last ministry on earth. Today we divert to read some excerpts from a missionary in his autobiography about his physical walking with Jesus.

Natural and Supernatural (Continued) Walking
Walking was more of an asset than a hindrance. Walking is considered the best kind of body exercise, and my example by walking was a help in making right contact. I walked thousands of miles over tiresome mountain trails. Many and many a day I walked as much as twelve hours in one day, from before dawn till after dark, a distance of thirty-five miles. One time when suffering from indigestion I was enabled by the Lord to walk twenty miles a day for three days in succession without more food than I would normally have eaten in one meal. Even so, I did not become fully exhausted. Although in the early days of my work in Ka Do Land I worked my way along many a weary mile over many a trying trail, at the same time I got the help of the Lord in a special way whereby the supernatural supplemented the natural. After a long hard day’s walk, followed by a meeting at night, the next day I sometimes felt so tired and weak that I wondered how I could possibly make the stage ahead of me over another long, hard trail. It all looked like a big mountain ahead of me. Many a time, after starting the day in this weak condition, I would begin to feel refreshed. The farther I walked the easier it became and the fresher I felt. I have ended such days not feeling at all tired. I may have started the day feeling too tired to walk at all, and then after walking twenty miles ended that day feeling as refreshed as though I had not walked at all. God can work miracles when need be. In later years when my work had become systematic, walking became easier. In looking over some of my letters that my wife published in our paper I was surprised how often in my letters to her I found this sentence: “Today I walked twenty miles without fatigue.”
Page 377
In all, how many miles did I walk? I had no pedometer. However, I knew that when walking on level ground at an easy, normal gait my average was three miles an hour. When the distance in miles was unknown, my method of reckoning was to keep a record of how many hours I walked. Although in ascending mountains my average would sometimes be less than three miles an hour, nevertheless, the energy required would be greater than necessary for walking the same number of hours on level ground. By adding to known distances the distance reckoned by walking- hours the sum total of my walking itineraries to and from and in Ka Do Land amounted to nineteen thousand and two hundred miles. How far is nineteen thousand miles anyway? I assume that would be equivalent to a walk around the world at my latitude near the tropic. How far is it from New York to San Francisco/ How many times could I have walked across the United States before exhausting my nineteen thousand miles?

About This Testimony:
Missionary to Tibet, China, and Formosa:
Such a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit onto little poor Chinese Orphans, showing what is only possible when God’s anointing is at work. This book documents the visions and miracles that happened when revival broke out in their midst. The children saw angels, demons, heaven, hell, etc. They related their experiences to missionary H. A. Baker and his wife Josephine, who oversaw the orphanage where the children lived. The visions changed the children’s lives and behaviors. The children would lay or sit still for hours as if in a trance, and would reported their visions to the Bakers, who faithfully documented them.  Young children (new believers) who were untrained and ignorant of spiritual truths, spoke in the 1st person of Jesus with such boldness and eloquence, and as powerful as any old testament prophet, demonstrating the power of God on those who are surrendered to Him.

a testimony of being different : don’t limit God!

Today I am led to listen to this series of messages again. I found out that the online ones are different from my old downloaded ones. So, here they are, for online listening or download. I have been helped. Do something different today. God will see you through as you align with His good plan for your life.

Don’t Limit God x 10

Wrong Beliefs Limit God
You are the one who determines who God is and what He can do in your life. He is waiting on you. If you doubt that now, you won’t after listening to this message.
Cares Of The World Limit God
The cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things will—not can—limit God’s power in your life. How long are you willing to allow them to choke the fruit in your life?
Fear Of Risk Limits God
God will ask you to go beyond your own abilities. That will require the elimination of the fear of change, the fear of the unknown, the fear of failure, and even the fear of success. Learn more.
Fear Of Man Limits God
If you value the praise of men more than the praise of God, if you’re looking for human validation, if you’re afraid of persecution and criticism, then you have just limited God in your life.
Godly Imagination
God gave you an imagination, and it was never intended to be wasted on the vanity of the mind. In fact, it’s the womb of conception for God’s plan in your life. You must learn how this works.

Being in the centre of God’s plan for you is the safest place. Find out and not be anxious. God has put something in my heart many years ago, and the lesson I have learned after wasting a big chunk of my life, is that, Abraham did not delay. He just did it when he heard God.

So my encouragement to you is that, just do it. When I obeyed I took the limit off and God has opened a brand new world for me, living what Jesus has purchased for me, the abundant life He has promised to every believer. He has paid for your salvation. He has paid for your healing. He has accomplished it all so you can live the fullness of God’s life, giving glory to God.

AW don't limit God

the knowledge of this truth that will set you free to receive from God

The problem why Christians do not receive their healing or other blessings is not that we have no faith or do not believe that God heals. The main obstacle is we do not know the whole bible truth. So often we spend a lot of precious praying and pleading to God to give what He has given. Our only task is simply to know how to receive and just do it ! I have found this following teaching (excerpts quoted here; please click on the links to read in full and download the audio in the original web site).

_________________Be blessed!

You’ve Already Got It! By Andrew Wommack

On March 23, 1968, I had a miraculous encounter with the Lord that changed my life forever. Instantly, I received “revelation knowledge” that I’m still trying to understand and communicate today.

This knowledge didn’t come through the normal channels of study and education; the Spirit of God supernaturally imparted it to me. When I came heart to heart with the Lord, I just knew things about Him intuitively. One of those revelations has become a mainstay for what the Lord has accomplished in my life, and it’s one of the most important and foundational truths of the Gospel.

It’s the knowledge that God has already done His part. When Jesus cried “It is finished” (John 19:30), He meant just that. His work on earth was done. The Atonement was complete. He provided everything we could ever need. We aren’t waiting on Him to give; He is waiting on us to receive.

The book of Ephesians is written from the perspective of everything already being ours in Christ. It starts in Ephesians 1:3 by saying, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (emphasis mine).

Any blessing you could ever need or desire from the Lord is not something to strive for but something you already have. God made the provision before you had the need. It is just a simple matter of receiving what He has already done. The benefit of understanding and being assured of this is enormous. It kills legalism and the performance mentality, and that takes a huge load off of you. How could you doubt that God will give you something if He’s already given it to you?…

First Peter 2:24b says, “By whose stripes ye were healed” (emphasis mine). It’s already a done deal. It is actually incorrect to pray for healing. Instead, we should just receive the healing that the Lord has already provided.

There is a difference between fighting to get healed and fighting because we have been healed. That difference is the difference between success and failure. In Ephesians 2:8, Paul said, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves. We aren’t saved by grace alone or by faith alone; we are saved by a combination of the two.

Actually, faith isn’t true biblical faith unless its used in receiving what God has already provided by grace. Grace is what God has already done for us, independent of any worth or value on our part. If it’s tied to some goodness of ours, then it’s not true grace.

God, by grace, has already provided everything we will ever need. Our faith doesn’t move God. If God hasn’t already moved by His grace, then your faith can’t make Him. Faith simply appropriates what God has already provided by grace. If He’s already provided your needs by His grace, then faith is just your positive response to what He has already done—not something you do to get God to respond to you. It takes a revelation from the Holy Spirit to make these truths become alive on the inside. ..

The truth is that the Lord has already provided everything we will ever need, but His provision is in the spiritual realm. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). God moves in the spiritual realm. Whether or not we see manifest in the physical realm what He has done in the spiritual realm is not dependent on His giving but on our receiving…

We have to know that God has already done His part and that any delay in our manifestation is not His fault. That will keep us in faith. Remember that faith is our positive response to what God has already done by grace… The Bible says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Knowing the truth, not binding the devil in prayer, is what sets people free. …

But I have gone in depth about this in my teaching entitled You’ve Already Got It! If you aren’t experiencing the abundance that you know the Lord wants you to have, then I can guarantee you that the revelation you need is in this message… It’s the knowledge of this truth that will set you free to receive from God. click this following link to listen to or download the complete MP3 audio teaching: You've Already Got It

Introducing “The Visitation of The Spirit” – a life lived before God

Introducing: Rees Howells: Intercessor (the story of a life lived for God)

“Rees Howells was a man uniquely taught of God who found the key to prevailing prayer, became the channel of a mighty revival in Africa, was taught the principles of divine healing, and progressed even furthur in faith until world events were affected by his prayers.”

Once the Holy Spirit took possession of him in 1906, Rees Howells, a Welsh miner, was led deeply into a ministry of intercession for many situations including healing, conversions and to challenge death at home and abroad on the mission field.

The Visitation of The Spirit (excerpts from the above book) : taken from the following link: (please visit the site and read the whole article of how faith had worked!)

From the time of special dedication on March 29, 1936, when so many of the College, both staff and students, laid their lives on the altar as intercessors, the Spirit was at work in the College.

The climax and consummation came in the New Year of 1937. The following was taken from an account made by Dr. Priddy, a senior staff member.

It was the ‘Pentecost’ of the College, from which emerged not a loosely linked company of consecrated individuals, but a body in the full sense of the term, with one life and one purpose.

‘They wept before God for hours’ As the College approached the new year of 1937 there was an increasing consciousness of God’s presence. The first outward sign that He was working in a new way was when one of the staff broke down in prayer, confessing her sense of need and crying to the Holy Spirit to meet her.

Then we heard how the Holy Ghost had so manifested Himself in the glory of His divine person to some of the girl students, that they wept before Him for hours, broken at the corruption of their own hearts revealed in the light of His holiness.

He did not come like a rushing mighty wind. But gradually the Person of the Holy Ghost filled all our thoughts, His Presence filled all the place, and His light seemed to penetrate all the hidden recesses of our heart.

The revelation of the Holy Spirit’s person was so tremendous that all our previous experience seemed as nothing.

The revelation of The Holy Spirit’s Person was so great, all our previous experience seemed as nothing.’ In the light of His purity, it was not so much sin we saw as self. These were people who left all to follow the Saviour, as far as they were aware their lives were fully surrendered to God. But He showed us, ‘There is all the difference in the world between your surrendered life in My hands and I living in your body.’

The Holy Spirit asked of us our wills and our bodies. Romans 12:1, ‘Present your bodies as a living sacrifice.’ Why did He manifest Himself to us in this way? It was made very clear. It was because there was a work to be done in the world today that only He could do. “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement” John 16:8. No wonder the Master told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they had received the ‘Promise of the Father.’

But when He had come, they were witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. We had put all on the altar for the sake of giving the Gospel to Every Creature. But now the Holy Ghost said, as Jehovah had said to Moses; “I am come down to do it.”

As the days of visitation went on, we were just prostrate at His feet. Now He had come to bring the vision to completion. Even the grounds were filled with His presence. Walking around together we suddenly became conscious that we were speaking in whispers.

‘As the visitation went on, we were just prostrate at His feet.’ The late hours came, but no-one thought of bed – for God was there. Increasingly we looked to the Holy Spirit Himself, poured out on all flesh as Joel prophesied, as the only One by whom the vision He has shown us can be fulfilled, through His prepared channels in all parts of the world.

The fire fell on the sacrifice; the Spirit had sealed for Himself a company of intercessors for Every Creature. We were baptized, as it were, by one Spirit into one body for one God-appointed purpose and this was now one of them. His visitation lasted for some three weeks in this special sense, although praise God, He came to ‘abide’ and has continued with us ever since.”

Intercession, Revival and the Bible College ———————-

About the Bible College: The founders of the Bible College dedicated their lives to be an object lesson to all, of what can be achieved by prayer and faith alone; their aim was to teach men and women that it is safe to trust God’s Word and His promises.

God wants you well: a prayer for healing

Jesus the healer
Jesus the healer

Prayer for Healing (quoted)

From Healing the Sick by T.L. Osborn, Chapter 42, pages 235-238:

Once you have accepted Christ as Savior, you are a child of God and have the right to the fulfillment of any and all of God’s promises.

If you need healing, you may pray right now and be healed in the same way in which you have been saved.

Now that you realize where sickness came from and that it is not the will of your loving, heavenly Father that you suffer, it is time to approach Him in humility and in faith.

Jesus said, These signs shall follow them that believe, in my name they shall cast out devils; …they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover  (Mark 16:17-18).

     Remember that He invites you:

Call unto me, and I will answer you.                                     Jeremiah 33:3 Ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.          John 16:24

For every one that asks receives.                                                Matthew 7:8

The reason you can call on the Lord right now and be healed of your physical infirmities and diseases is that Jesus Christ Himself suffered all of them for you.  He did it willingly, as your substitute, so that you could be healed of them.

He took upon Himself all the physical consequences of your sinful nature so that He could come into your life as your PHYSICAL HEALER and as your spiritual Savior.

So right now, pray this prayer:

HEAVENLY FATHER, I thank You that You have made known to me Your salvation and healing plan.  I thank You that Christ has redeemed me from sickness, being made sick for me, and that by His stripes I was healed.

I am so thankful that I no more need to bear my own sickness than I need to bear my sins, because You have revealed Christ to me.

Before I understood that sickness and disease, suffering and pain resulted from that first sin and rebellion of Adam and Eve, I presumed that there was no escape from the ever-present threat of physical disease in my life.

I knew that in spite of the wonders of modern medical science, our world is still full of sickness, suffering and crippling diseases.

I AM SO GLAD to know the truth; that Satan is to blame for my sickness, and that I have covenant rights and authority over all devils and diseases.

I marvel that You did not leave humanity in bondage to Satan.  After I had rebelled against You and violated Your laws of life, I deserved to die.  Oh, what love You manifested toward me in sending Your Son as the sacrifice for my sins.  (Rom. 3:24-25.)

Why did You love me so much?  There was nothing in my nature that merited Your favor.  Thank You for Your infinite love for me, when I was not worthy of Your love.

Sin had taken its awful toll in my life so that my physical body was totally vulnerable to every kind of disease and sickness conceived by the devil to torture me and to destroy my usefulness.

NOW I UNDERSTAND that Jesus not only suffered the full punishment for all my sins, but He also bore all the consequences of my sinful nature.

Now I know that He, of a certainty, took upon Himself all of my diseases and suffered all my pains — my PHYSICAL diseases and pains — so that I could be completely healed.

His physical body was tortured.  He was beaten beyond recognition.  His visage was so marred more than any other man (Is. 52:14).  His back was striped.  When they beat Him, they plowed his back: they made long their furrows (Ps. 129:3).  He was bruised and torn. (Is. 53:5.)  Now I know that all my sicknesses were laid on Him.  He suffered them for me so that I could be free.

I understand that all sickness as well as sin has the same evil source — Satan, the deceiver.  I turn away from him with total resolution, and I welcome the presence and peace, life and health of my Lord into my life.

NOW, FATHER, I come according to Your word, knowing that You always make Your word good and fulfill Your promises.  You said:  I am the Lord that heals you.

Thank You for the fact that when I believe the good news of what Jesus did on my behalf, and when I receive Him into my heart, Satan has no more place in my life.  That is why You said: Behold,  I give you power over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).  You gave me power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. (Luke 9:1.)  You promised that as a believer of the gospel, I can, in Your name, cast out devils; I can lay my hands on the sick and they shall recover. (Mark 16:18.)

I do now take You at Your word.  I rebuke the enemy which has caused my suffering.  I resist this oppression of the devil. (Acts 10:38.)

In the name of Jesus Christ, I command the sickness, which is a spirit of infirmity, to leave, and every symptom to be destroyed in the name of Jesus who is present now.

FATHER, I thank You that You have heard my prayer and have granted the answer.

You bore my sins and my diseases.  Now I am free of them.  When You suffered my sicknesses, by your stripes I was healed (Is. 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).

The grace and life of Jesus Christ which now live in me, heal me of all sin disease.  I am saved.  I am healed.  I am free.

I now understand that Satan has lost all dominion over me.  Therefore, no sin can condemn me, and no sickness has the right to live in my body which has now become the temple of the Holy Spirit.

I claim the promise of healing for my body now, by faith in Your word; and I thank You that the very source of my sickness is destroyed and that, according to Jesus’ promise, I shall recover.

In Jesus Christ’s name, I have prayed.

OH, JESUS, YOU ARE LORD.  Your life is mine.  Your health is mine.  I saved and I am healed.  Every symptom of my old life, my old sins and mistakes, my old pains and sicknesses must now disappear, because the life and power of Christ are healing and making me whole NOW.

From today, I shall walk in Your new life and health, because You are my life, my all.  You are with me and in me NOW.

     Thank You, Lord. AMEN.

 * * *

Now you have prayed and rebuked the source of your trouble.  You accept, by faith in God’s word, that He has answered your prayer.  Now, hold fast the profession of (your) faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised (Heb. 10:23).

Allow the devil to hear nothing spoken from your lips other than the confession of God’s word.  Allow yourself to think nothing contrary to what God has promised in His word.

Remember that your faith can never rise higher than your words.  The promises of God become real and living only as we confess them.  To enjoy the Christian life, you must learn the value of God’s word on your lips.

You cannot talk contrary to God’s word and win His blessings.

Your words are your standard of faith.  They express what you really believe.

Anything other than You shall recover (Mark 16:18) is a lie from the devil.  Treat it as such and stand on God’s word, for God will make it good in you.

Do as Abraham did:  Be strong in faith by looking to the promise.

Keep the word before your eyes.  Look at the promises continually.

Never consider symptoms that contradict the word as grounds for doubting the word of God because it is written:  I will watch over my word to perform it  (Jer. 1:12; Ezek. 12:25,28; Is. 38:7; Rom. 4:21).

How To: Flow In The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit

1031 - How to Flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit - CD -SA.inddHow To: Flow In The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
By Andrew Wommack

free audio download of complete teachings here at:

I believe that one of the biggest reasons that the body of Christ hasn’t made a greater impact on our generation today is because of our failure to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt, Jesus and the first apostles used the gifts like a bell, calling men to their message and confirming that God was truly the One speaking through them.

Hebrews 2:3-4 says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” The Lord bore witness to the accuracy of their message through miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said all true believers would flow in the miraculous: “And these signs will follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” If a Christian’s life isn’t supernatural, it’s superficial.

Mark goes on to say that messages based in God’s Word would be confirmed by signs following: “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Jesus even said, “If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not” (John 10:37). That’s a strong statement. If we were to apply that standard to ministers today, most wouldn’t be believed.

The vast majority of preaching done in the name of the Lord today is without the power of the Holy Spirit manifest through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is not the way the Lord intended it to be.

The “main line” denominations have developed doctrines to cope with this obvious discrepancy. However, regardless of the rationale, it’s absurd to think that we can be effective without the power of the Holy Spirit confirming the preaching of God’s Word. If Jesus and the early apostles needed their preaching validated, how can we do any less?

Even the non-denominational churches have fallen away from ministering in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts that operate in most “Spirit-filled” churches are simply words of exhortation or prophecy. There is much more.

The Lord has used the gifts of the Holy Spirit mightily in my life and ministry to confirm His Word. There are countless times when people were still skeptical after hearing me teach, but the demonstration of God’s power through the gifts turned them into believers. It’s like the teaching fills their mouths with God’s Word, then the gifts of the Holy Spirit slap them on the back and make them swallow it. Hallelujah!

One of the most important steps to flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to earnestly desire them. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:31, “But covet earnestly the best gifts.” He repeated that thought in 1 Corinthians 14:1 when he said, “Desire spiritual gifts.” Another way of saying this is, as long as you can live without flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you will. You have to seek these gifts with all your heart (Jer. 29:13).

It’s also very important to understand that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are always flowing. God doesn’t turn them “on” and “off.” We are the ones who are “on” or “off.” That’s a startling statement to many people and one that verges on blasphemy to some, but it’s true. The Lord is always ready to flow through us in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It’s just like praying in tongues. We don’t have to wait for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to come on us to speak in tongues. We can pray in tongues at any time. It’s not us turning on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always on and giving us the ability to speak in tongues. Therefore, whenever we turn ourselves on, the gift of tongues is there to allow us to communicate with our heavenly Father. Praise the Lord! That’s the way it is with all the gifts.

I remember one time that I was teaching along these lines in our Charis Bible College. One of the students said, “So, you are saying that you can flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit at any time?” I said, “That’s right and I’ll prove it to you.” I then started down each row and just started “reading the students’ mail. I was telling them things that had to be coming from the Holy Spirit. It was awesome.

No one has received everything that the Holy Spirit has for them. Therefore, the Lord is always seeking to release more to us through His supernatural gifts. Whenever we put ourselves in a mode to be His channel, His gifts will flow. The old “Pentecostal” doctrine of the anointing coming and going is not a New Testament truth.

First John 2:27 says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.”

Another great truth about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is …”the divine flow.” This is based on, “God is love” (1 John 4:8). Therefore, whenever we discern the love of God flowing through us toward someone, God is reaching out to them through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. All we have to do is follow that flow through faith.

Once when I was pastoring a little church in Pritchett, Colorado, my heart just went out to a woman in the back of the room. I’d never seen her before, and there was nothing natural that drew me to her. It was just the love of God flowing through me to her. Because of that love alone, I told her that God had a word for her. I didn’t have one single word to say to her, but I knew God’s love was flowing; and therefore, God and His gifts were flowing to her. I just started by saying, “God loves you.” God then flooded my mind with things to minister to her.

It was a long word from the Lord, but I specifically told her about how she was grieving over the loss of someone and was confused about why God allowed it. I kept saying, “It wasn’t God that allowed it. It was the Destroyer.” I said that a number of times. She broke down in tears and was really ministered to.

After the service, she told me that she had just lost her son to leukemia. They believed that God allowed this disease. But just before her son died, he saw this huge demon over their town, which the Lord told him was named the Destroyer. They didn’t know how to interpret that until I spoke to them through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and put it all in order. They were set free.

This was the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom in operation. God gave the knowledge of what had happened and then gave words of wisdom to instruct them on how to deal with it. This all came because I followed the love that I felt in my heart.

This has happened to us all, but most of the time we don’t understand this is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and we miss an opportunity. I’ve learned this the hard way.

There was a man who had been my youth director when I was just a young boy. He left our Baptist church before I was a teenager, and I heard how he had been baptized in the Holy Spirit and was seeing great miracles happen. He had one room in his church that was filled with the wheelchairs, crutches, and braces of people who were healed and didn’t need them anymore.

During a three- or four-month period of time, I thought about this man often. It was usually while I was in prayer that he would just come to mind, and I would feel the compassion of God toward him. I would just wonder what was happening with him and then dismiss the thoughts. Later, I found that he had died in a freak accident where a red ant bit him on the thumb.

As soon as I heard of his death, I knew that the reason I had been thinking of him so often was because the Lord was trying to get me to intercede for him. Over a decade later, I met this man’s son, and I confessed to him my failure to pray for his dad. He told me that I was at least the twelfth person who had told him a similar story. The Lord had impressed many of us to intercede for this man, but none of us recognized it as the Lord.

It is imperative that we learn to recognize and flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It’s not only a blessing to us, but the lives of other people may depend on it. You are carrying someone’s miracle. Don’t let it stay inside. You have to learn how to release it.

There is much more that the Lord has shown me about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This article doesn’t come close to covering all the material I have on my series entitled, How To: Flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I really encourage you to get this teaching and start moving supernaturally in a whole new way.

My new three-part album is laced with personal examples of how the Lord has used me in the gifts. I share how I learned to recognize and respond to God’s gifts in such a practical way that I know it will help you to do the same. This is very practical teaching about a very supernatural lifestyle. It’s awesome!

___________________________Watchman’s notes:

Indeed the flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit has built up many of the believers even in a tiny community where the watchman resides currently. The Lord means every word that has proceeded out of His mouth. Jesus has confirmed this truth. He has declared in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

End Times Ministry: How to heal a broken family?

healing broken family
healing broken family

One increasingly regular click that viewers have made has been the picture on “broken family”. The search term “broken family” has climbed sharply in the watchman’s top posts in the last year and is still climbing. The watchman has perceived in his spirit the urgency and importance of this subject.

What other topic can be more urgent and relevant at this end time? The last Book of the Prophets and Old Testament is Malachi. The last verse in the Book of Malachi reads,

“And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” (KJV)

Here are readily available teaching audio materials for those who are called to serve in this end times ministry. Be blessed. Matthew 10:8 “Give as freely as you have received!”

Journey to see God: the Doctor (Healer)

God's purpose for you is good
God’s purpose for you is good

God says, “For I am the LORD who heals you.” He spoke to His people as recorded in Exodus 15:26 (over 3400 years ago). He still speaks to His people today the same today. This declaration of God is valid today as God has not revoked it. It is most relevant and urgent in this generation as the needs for physical and mental healing have escalated to an unprecedented level in frequency and intensity.

This time I will quote passages (excerpts only) from some books that the Lord has led me and my brethren in Christ to re-read lately.

Vine’s complete expository dictionary of Old and New Testament Words

To Heal: rapa (7495), “to heal.” This word si common to both modern and ancient Hebrew. It occurs approximately 65 times in the Hebrew Old Testament, appearing first in Genesis 20:17: “ God healed Abimelech.”

“To heal” may be described as “restoring to normal,” an act which God typically performs. Thus, appeals to God for healing are common: “O Lord, heal me for my bones are vexed” (Ps. 6:2); “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed” (Jer. 17:14). not only are human diseases “healed”, but bad water is restored to normal or “healed” (2 Kings 2:22)…

False prophets are condemned because they deal only with the symptoms and not with the deep spiritual hurts of the people: “They have healed also the hurts of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace” (Jer. 6:14; also 8:11).

New Spirit Filled Life Bible – New King James Version

Kingdom Dynamics (topical articles on spiritual truth)

Exodus 15:26 The Old Testament Healing Covenant, DIVINE HEALING. This verse is widely referred to as the OT Divine Healing Covenant. It is called a “covenant”, because in it God promises He will keep His people free from diseases and conditions the promise upon their diligent obedience.

The words used here for “diseases” (Hebrew makhaleh) and “heals” (Hebrew rapha) are regularly used for physical sickness and bodily healing. This is not only a spiritual concept, but also an intensive physical one. The covenant is made absolutely certain by the fact that God joins His mighty name to the promise, calling Himself “Yahweh-Rapha”, meaning “the LORD who heals.”

Power in the Name (Revealing the God Who Provides and Heals) by Derek Prince

Exodus 15:22-26 “…for I, the LORD [Jehovah], am your healer.” (NASB)

The second covenant name of God is given at the very end of the passage: “the LORD…you healer.”

The word that is translated “healer” is the basic Hebrew word for “physical healing”. In modern Hebrew, it is the word used for “doctor”. In face, it would be perfectly correct to translate this as “I am Jehovah, your doctor.” That is exactly what it would be in contemporary Hebrew, “the LORD (Jehovah, or Yahweh) is directly connected to the word for one who heals. Alternatively, we could say, “The Lord who heals.”

Requirement for healing -wholehearted faith in God

The basic requirement for healing is stated clearly: “If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God…” (Exodus 15:26). In the original Hebrew, it is literally, “If listening you will listen to the voice of the LORD.” The word listen is repeated twice.

Once, as I lay sick in a hospital, desperately needing healing and seeking God for it in the Scriptures, this verse came to me. I said, “What does it mean to ‘listen’, ‘listening’?” And it seemed God gave me this answer: “…To ‘listen’, ‘listening’ is to listen to Me with both ears. But if you listen to Me with one ear and to somebody else with the other ear, all you get is confusion and not faith.” So, I stopped up my ear to the sinister whisper of the devil and listened to God with both ears. Sure enough, I received my healing!

Jesus was the final fulfillment of the healing covenant of God for His people. On the cross, Jesus not only bore our sin, but He also took our infirmities and carried away our diseases. He not only provided forgiveness, but He also provided healing.

Remember that God is still the healer of His people. The blessings of the covenant are now available to both Jews and Gentiles-to all those who come in faith, through Jesus, to God the Father, on the basis of His covenantal name: The One Who Heals. (Exodus 15:26)

Healing The Sick – A living Classic, by T.L Osborn

Chapter 1 How Many Will God Heal?

I will take sicknesses away from you. The number of your days I will fulfill. (Exodus 23:25-26)

I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

The purpose of this chapter is to acquaint you with what the Bible teaches: If you are sick, God wants to heal you.

Until you are fully convinced that God wants you to be well, there will always be a doubt in your mind as to whether or not you will be healed. As long as there is that doubt in your mind, perfect faith cannot exist, and until faith is exercised, without doubt or wavering, you may never be healed.

Without faith, it is impossible to please Him; for they that come to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrew 11:6)

But let them ask in faith, nothing wavering. For they that waver are like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not those [who waver] think they shall receive any thing of the Lord. (James 1:6-7)

Once people are fully convinced that God wants to heal them and that it is not God’s will for them to be sick, they almost always receive healing when prayed for, if not before. Knowing God’s will concerning sickness provides the ground on which perfect faith can act.

God is honest

There has not failed one word of all His good promise. 1 Kings 8:56

For ever O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89

I will hasten My word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12 That word hasten means: “to watch over”, “to look after”, “to protect”, or “to stand behind.” In all of His unlimited power, God is standing behind His word to accomplish it. Believe that.

There is no reason for doubting God.

Three Million Healed

God announced Himself to be the healer of His people (Ex. 15:26). He spoke those words to about three million people. (Ex. 12:37) Everyone of them believed god’s words were true. The result: Everyone of them who needed healing was made perfectly whole.

We are told: He brought them forth…and there was not one feeble person among their tribes (Ps. 105:37). Can you imagine three million people all well and strong? Not one feeble, not one weak, and not one sick?

If that was true in Israel, under the law, it is much more true for you, who have been redeemed by the blood of God’s Lamb and are living under grace, mercy and truth.

Let this be a settle truth that you know, as well as you know two plus two are four: Healing is for you -all may be healed.

The only reason disease takes such a toll among Christians today is that many do not believe what God has spoken. They know God said, I am the Lord who heals you. Somehow they have failed to believe He meant what He said, which is basically what Satan said to Adam and Eve: God did not mean what He said. Influenced by tradition (Mark 7:13), people have changed God’s I am to “I was.”

Chapter Two Healing is for All

There is no better way to know the will of God than by reading the Gospels, which record the teachings and the works of Christ. Jesus was the physical expression of the Father’s will. His life was both a revelation and a manifestation of the unchanging love and will of God. He acted out the will of God for us.

Uncertainty corrected

The leper said: If You will, You can. Jesus answered, I will (Mark1:41).

Let that settle forever with you: God will heal the sick. If He wills to heal one, then He wills to heal all.

James asks: Is any sick among you? (James 5:14). Any included you if you are sick.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all. Matthew 12:15

As many as touched [Him] were made perfectly whole. Matthew 14:36

The whole multitude sought to touch Him: [and He] healed them all. Luke 6:19

When the evening came, they brought to Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses.

Christ is still healing the sick, in order to fulfill the prophet’s words: Himself took our infirmities [weaknesses], and bore our sicknesses [diseases].

Always remember: you are included in the our in Matthew 8:17, and God is bound by His covenant to continue to heal all who are sick and weak, in order to fulfill Isaiah’s words.

Healing is for all and should be preached to all

Philip preached Christ at Samaria (Acts 8:6-8). Jesus proved to be exactly the same when Philip told the people about Him.

Peter preached Christ to the cripple (Acts 3:6), to the multitudes (Acts 5:14-16), to Aeneas (Acts 9:34). All were healed. Jesus was the same for Peter.

Wherever and whenever Jesus Christ is proclaimed as our sacrifices for sin and sickness, physical healing as well as spiritual salvation will result.

Paul preached Christ (Acts 14:8-9). Paul must have preached the gospel of healing, because the lame man received faith to be healed while listening to Paul’s message.

Let it be a settle fact: It is God’s will to heal you. You have a right to healing as well as forgiveness when you believe.

Healing is part of the gospel and is to be preached throughout all the world and to every creature, to the end of the world (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:20).

Being part of the gospel, the divine blessing of physical healing is for all.

Your Power in the Holy Spirit (miracles are for today!)

your power in the Holy Spirit
your power in the Holy Spirit

Excerpts from this book.

The Miraculous Mind

of Christ

Jesus’ mental processes were miraculous. Ourlibraries are full of books written by great thinkerslike Thomas Edison and others who were incessantthinkers. With Jesus there is something different. Hespoke out from the Spirit that dominated Hisspiritual faculties. The Spirit of Christ ruled Hisintellect. Gems of divine truth dripped from His lipsas honey from the honeycomb. The Sermon on theMount and great portions in Luke and John are asuntouched as when they dropped from the lips of  Jesus. Men’s writings grow old and out of date. God’struth is ever fresh. Yes, Jesus’ words and life andcontact with men were miraculous; they are still miraculous. His death on the cross, His three days in the tomb,His dramatic and startling resurrection, were allmiracles. His presence among the disciples ondifferent occasions and, finally, His ascension in thepresence of five hundred witnesses were miracles.

They do not belong to the reason realm; they belongto the miracle realm. Jesus was in the realm of theSpirit, the realm of faith, the realm where God acts, the realm where the real child of God lives. You see,Christians have been translated out of the realm of human thought and reason into the kingdom of theSon of His love, the realm of the Spirit.

It would be uncharitable if we were to criticize aman of reason who knows nothing about thespiritual realm.

Christianity is not the product of human reasoning. Christianity is a divineintervention. Christians are those who have beenborn from above. They have been re-created. Thislife of God that comes into their spirit naturedominates the reason so that they have “the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16) to think God’s thoughtsand live in God’s realm of miracles.

Friends, when a Christian tries to live by reason, he is moving out of God’s country into the enemy’s land.

We belong in the miraculous or supernatural realm.

Christ was a miracle. Every Christian is a miracle.

Every answer to prayer is a miracle.

Every divine illumination is a miracle.

The power of Christianityin the world is a miraculous power.

God, help us torealize that ours is a high and holy calling.

Miracles Are For Today

I want to talk to you on the subject of miracles thisafternoon. From the year 400 until now, by and large, the church has assumed the attitude that the days of miracles are passed—without any scripturalevidence whatever. They have taught that miracleswere to demonstrate the divinity of Jesus and that, therefore, the divinity of Jesus having beendemonstrated, there was no longer any need formiracles.

We had a local incident that demonstrates the effectof this teaching. I think my conviction on the matteris that it has done more damage to the Christian faiththan any other teaching that has been promulgated.

There is a gentleman who works at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, O. A. Risdon, who is one of theengineers there. He had a son with a deformed head. The top of the head raised up like the ridge of a roof; the forehead and back of the head also were forcedout in similar manner, giving the head the appearance of the hull of an upside-down yacht. He was born with what the physicians call a closed head. The boy was always slobbering. The pressure on the brain caused the right side to become paralyzed, and the boy was dumb. He was five yearsold at this time.

The physicians said there was nothing they could do.Then, in desperation, he appealed to his pastor. The pastor told him that the days of miracles were past, that the Lord did not heal now, and that miracles were given to demonstrate the divinity of Jesus. The father replied, “If Jesus would heal my son, I would be convinced that He is divine now. If He is divine,He could lift this damnation from our house.

“Finally, he came to us seeking help. We began tominister to the child. In a few days, we observed that the paralysis began to depart. Instead of walking onone side of his ankles, he began to walk on the foot, and that indicated that the pressure was relieved onthe brain. In seven weeks, the child was perfectly well. The bones of the head softened and came downto normal. The paralysis disappeared, and the child began to talk. In three months, he was in the publicschool. He is a young married man now.

Dear friends, if we had continued to believe that the days of miracles were past, that boy would be in the insane asylum. But we believed that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and the boy was healed.

It is a delight to believe the words of  Jesus. I have used this rule in my study of the Scriptures. If there is any question on any Scripture, I settle it with the words of Jesus. I consider all the Scriptures are a common court of the gospel, but the words of Jesus are the Supreme Court of the gospel.

When I want a Supreme Court decision, I appeal to the words of Jesus.

You can read all the words of Jesus in two hours or less in a red-letter New Testament. Make a practice of reading the words of Jesus on any subject that troubles you, and make a compilation of what He says.

He ought to be sufficient authority on any question, for the heavenly Father called attention to the fact that He is the Son of God and that we are to hear Him. God declared:

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am wellpleased; hear ye him. (Matthew 17:5)

Journey to See God: Seeing God intimately

Life is more interesting, never dull when one lives in the Spirit and walks by the Spirit, just as the apostles had experienced during the time of the early churches (as in the book of Acts). Without the leading of the Holy Spirit, one cannot possibly understand the Bible, the watchman has thus discovered.

The Bible is all about God. The Holy Spirit has come to show us how to see God. Reading John 7 and 8 has revealed new truth to the watchman. The truth is just there, all over the pages as he sees through the eyes of his spirit.

________________________Here is his brief note on 10-14-2012:

The Bible is all about God, revealing Himself to man, not the other way round. God takes initiative: set time, ‘when’, ‘whom he sent’, ‘for what purpose’. But man looks at ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘who is who’ all in the physical.

How does Jesus describes His focused intimate relationship, interactions and identification with God? (Just read the following list. The words ‘He’, ‘His’, ‘Him’ are used to denote God.)

‘He sent’, ‘He knows’, “in His time’, “His will’, ‘He teaches’, ‘comes from Him’, ‘His truth’, ‘learn from Him’, ‘return to Him’, ‘He speaks the truth’, ‘seek to honor Him’, ‘with Him’, ‘know who He is’, ‘belong to Him’, ‘from above’ (where God is), ‘not of the world below’ (where man is), ‘heard from Him’, ‘completely truthful’, ‘always do what please Him’, ‘do nothing on one’s own’, ‘say only what ones hears from Him’, ‘sent by Him’, ‘set sinners free’ (do His work), ‘saw what He did’, ‘tell the truth’, ‘come from God’,’consistent with God’s character’, ‘belong to God’, ‘listen gladly to the words of God’, ‘honor God’, ‘no demon in Him’, ‘no wish to glorify self’, ‘obey His teaching’, ‘know God’ and ‘obey Him’, ‘know Him and His Son’, know He is ‘I AM’.

______________________Relevant excerpts from “Spiritual Intimacy  & Communion”(from “Demands of Love” book by Susan Tang)

“The early Christians did not pick up spirits as easily as we do now because they were serious Christians who had a strong river of Spirit-life running inside them. They believed in spiritual communion and intimacy with God and spent time in serious prayer daily. They were people who knew how to drink long and deep at the Living Fountain. That was why they had no problems with demons..”

“Ministry today is dangerous because the emphasis is all on the outward _ the size of the church, the numbers, the performance, the buildings. Satan will be happy to give us these (and he can) provided he can keep us away from “The Drink”.”

SPIRITUAL INTIMACY (book by Susan Tang)

MORE EXCERPTS: Psalm 143: 11

Quicken me O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.

The word, ‘quicken’ actually means ‘to make alive.’ Many people, even Christians, lose their will to live because they cannot take the m and the pressure. When David lost the will to carry on, he screamed out to God many times, “O God, make me live!” He would not give way to suicide because he knew life came from God and it was not right for him to end it himself.

There is such power in intimacy with God. Even when David lost the will to live, he realized he could still carry on living when he allowed God to impact into him the purpose of living – to live for Him! Through intimacy with God, David knew he had a destiny to fulfill, and this gave him the strength to carry on. Yes, we can definitely derive meaning and strength to live on when we know intimacy with Father God.

“The common Christian today knows everything from prophecy to anointing, from home cells to music, from miracles to visitations, from missions to running errands etc. but they simply cannot enter into intimacy with the Lord or prevail in His presence. Seeking His face is just too much for them.” [Read More]

The end times book: Three Battle grounds- the mind, the church and the heavenly places

three battlegrounds: mind, church, heavenly places

The watchman had to wait for someone outside a Christian Bookshop one evening. As usual he waited in the car as he knew from experience and in the spirit that he could not find any suitable book there. However this time the Spirit prompted him to go in. He was led straight to a bookshelf which most Christian readers would not notice. There he bent down and found three Spirit-led must-read books. Alas, all were in another language.

He bought them anyway. When he finished reading the first book, he knew this is the book for his end times class to read this season. So he ordered the original which arrived a week later. He read the book and is now led to share with his blog readers. This is an essential text for all at this end time!

The Three Battlegrounds – An indepth view of the three arenas of spiritual warfare: the mind, the church and the heavenly places (by Francis Frangipane, 1989)

Here are some excerpts and quotations from the first three chapters of the book.

This is a book about spiritual warfare.” “After spending much time with struggling pastors, I have seen a common trend in most: They failed to discern the assault of the evil. They stood unprotected against an ancient, treacherous foe.” “Jesus warned that the love of many would grow cold. Do not presume it cannot happen to you. Our enemy has been deceiving mankind for thousands of years. Our experience, on the other hand, spans but a brief moment. It is wisdom to recognize that we do not know all there is concerning warfare.”

Part One: The Battleground of the Mind

“Indeed, the uncrucified thought life is the beachhead of satanic assault in our lives. To defeat the devil, we must be renewed in the spirit of our minds!”

Chapter 1: Satan’s Domain: The Realm of Darkness

“Many Christians debate whether the devil is on the earth or in hell; can he dwell in Christians or only in the world? The fact is, the devil is in darkness. Wherever there is spiritual darkness, there the devil will be.”

Jesus warned: “Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness” (Luke 11:35)” “Satan has a legal access, given to him by God, to dwell in darkness. The devil can traffic in any area of darkness, even the darkness that still exists in a Christian’s heart.”

“If we will be effective in spiritual warfare, we must be discerning of our own hearts; we must walk humbly with our God. Our first course of action must be “submit to God.” Then, as we “resist the devil…he will flee.” (James 4:7)

“There is a recurring precept throughout this book. It is vital that you know, understand, and apply this principle for your future success in warfare. That principle is this: Victory begins with the name of Jesus on your lips, but it will not be consummated until the nature of Jesus is in your heart.”

Chapter 2: The Stronghold of The Godly: Humility

“Satan fears virtue. He is terrified of humility. His hair stands up when Christians kneel down (before God), for humility is the surrender of the soul to God. The devil trembles before the meek…there stands the Lord, and Satan is terrified of Jesus Christ.”

Chapter Three: Pulling Down Strongholds

“What men call “salvation” is simply the first stage of God’s plan for our lives, which is to conform us in character and power to the image of Jesus Christ.

Pulling down strongholds is the demolition and removal of our old ways of thinking so that the actual presence of Jesus Christ can be manifested through us.”

“A demonic stronghold is any type of thinking that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in an individual’s life.” (2 Cor.10:3-5)

Christians can be oppressed by demons, which can occupy unregenerate thought-systems, especially if those thoughts are defended by self-deception or false doctrines.” “Your rebellion toward God provides a place fo the devil in your life.” “A number of Christians are tormented by various fears. They needed more than prayer; they needed deliverance.”

Any area of our heart or mind not surrendered to Jesus Christ is an area vulnerable to Satanic attack.”

Repentance precedes deliverance. The pulling down of strongholds begins with repentance.”

“When Jesus sent out His disciples, “They went out and preached that men should repent. And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.” (Mark 6:12-13) “Note the sequence of recovery…”

“If you are truly walking with Jesus, many areas of your thinking processes will be exposed. Yet, there will be  power from God to enable you to repent and receive His virtue into your life.”________________

The watchman yesterday found this book again after it disappeared mysteriously. He was led in his spirit to give this book to someone and the person read it just in time. He was asked to read it too so he agreed. However, the book disappeared after he read a few pages. It was very unusual as he just cleaned up his whole house and everything was in order. There was no where a book could hide. However, yesterday he took out a briefcase to look for some office document and to his amazement this book was hidden among his documents! The Lord told him to finish reading. So he did. Here is the book. It is a must read for all serious intercessor and altar builders.

Jesus made it very clear in Mark 8:34, 35 that the criteria for following Him is to deny self, take up the cross and be devoted to Him with no private agenda for self. If we understand this divine summons to deny all, we will have no problem fulfilling the divine demand that we “come away.”

It is not difficult to realize that the accomplishments, the success, honour and blessings of Abraham rested on the fact that he was willing to lose it all, to give up all, including his one and only son in his old age.

Gandhi was a man with a passion for the teachings of Jesus Christ but unfortunately, he did not become a Christian. He could not because he realized that the white people who came to India to preach Jesus did not live like Him. He was himself so convicted by the teachings of Christ that he decided to put them into practice.

He renounced everything and vowed that he would fight his enemies with love and not violence. For years, he walked the streets of India and begged for food. He turned his left cheek to his enemies when he was slapped on the right. Most of the time, he looked tired and worn out. He owned nothing but by the time he died, millions thronged his funeral. The rich and the popular, the mighty and the renowned, dignitaries, kings and queens came from all over the world.

What was the secret to Gandhi’s success and popularity? He was willing to lose it all.

Wasn’t this true of our Lord? He was willing to lose it all, including His own life. He literally denied all, becoming poor so that we might be rich.

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

In the end, He gained back everything, with interest.

He was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing (Revelation 5:12).

All these came only after He had been willing to be slain, willing to lose even His right to live. Yes, our Lord’s supremacy and glory rest on this basis: He was willing to lose it all.

Throughout the centuries, men and women have tried all ways and means to obtain power and riches _ fighting, cheating, manipulating, etc. God teaches us that the way to power and riches is through being willing to lose.

Are you willing to lose it all? Whether you like it or not, able or not able, the demand of the Bridegroom is sounding out loud and clear, “Come away! Come away from it all!” If you do not yield to this demand, you will never SOAR; you will never have the joy of feeding on the heritage of Jacob in high places.

Jesus taught us that the kingdom of heaven is likened to a merchant who, when he finally found a pearl of great worth, was willing to sell all that he had so that he could purchase that one pearl.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13:45-46).

We Christians have found that one pearl of great worth. Are we now willing to sell all that we have, willing to lose it all, to give up all, including marriage, career and children (if He so requires) in order to gain this Pearl of great worth? It would have been utter foolishness for the merchant to merely rejoice over that great pearl, wanting to possess it yet not willing to sell all that he had in order to raise the money to buy it. Many Christians are like this. They know they have found it _ Jesus, our Pearl of great value _ yet they are not willing to lose it all for Him. To be indecisive is the worst situation to be in.

I remember spending the three years in Bible School pleading with God, every morning at 5 am, to release me from full-time ministry. I had no desire for full-time ministry as my ambition was to be a fashion designer or an interior decorator. Every evening at 5 pm, I would plead with God to change me if He would not release me from ministry so that I could serve Him with a free heart and mind and not be indecisive.

I knew that if I were to serve Him, there would be no turning back. I also knew that what I do for Him must be done not only with my whole heart but also with my kidneys, liver, intestines, etc. If I were to serve Him, I wanted to do so with passion, intensity and the totality of my being. I would not serve Him and keep one eye open for a husband or daydream of a family of my own. No. No. To be divided in this way would not do for me.

Many ladies in ministry today are divided. They are unproductive because the ministries that they are in right now are just something to hold them up temporarily while they wait for Mr Right to pop up. I have raised up lady workers and I have had many different ladies working under me all these years. I have come to one conclusion: it is easier to raise up men than ladies!

The world trusts in its knowledge, scientific advancements, doctorates and degrees in education. I am afraid that this has also affected many in ministry. We go after degrees and doctorates but do not know what faith and prayer are anymore. We have become mentally swollen and spiritually shrunken. Today, instead of doing what the apostle Paul did, willing to lose everything for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, we can be tempted to do the exact opposite. If a balance could be struck, it would be beautiful. It is not easy to find someone who can pursue his studies and still find time to spend in the presence of God (but thank God we do have such people).

I remember the kind gesture of Professor John Williams some years ago. He told me that every year, his institute in New York confers an honorary doctorate on people who are truly worthy recipients. One such recipient had been Charles Doss who had composed the popular song, “He is my everything.” The professor invited me to Kenya in September of that year for the conferment of a doctorate in recognition of my works and accomplishments. I remember praying about it and instantly hearing an answer from the Lord.

“Everything that has happened in your life and ministry is just a result of the demonstration of the power of My Spirit.” That was all. I was not told to go or not to go _ I was told only the truth of why I had succeeded _ it was a demonstration of His Spirit’s power. Now, how could I go and be conferred with a doctorate if all that I had done had nothing to do with me?

I couldn’t, I shouldn’t and I didn’t. The next morning, I thanked the professor, told him that I was deeply honoured but I would not be going to Kenya for the conferment. That should have settled the matter.

Unfortunately, a few weeks later, my carnal self played up and said, “It was a fool’s decision to reject the doctorate. The blessing and reward of the Lord came and you did not even know how to enjoy it.”

I decided to call up a friend and shared this with him. He told me, “Walk far away from it, Susan. Be happy that you have been honoured but lay down that doctorate. Come away from it _ be willing to lose it. You don’t need it to prove anything. Jesus in you is all-sufficient. You made the right choice in letting it go.”

A lady with her own doctorate told me, “You should have gone for it. Times are changing. When you go overseas for ministry, people will not listen to you if you do not have a doctorate.”

How sad. Not for me, but for them. If people will only come and hear me because I have a doctorate, they are the wrong group of people for me. I have no intention of ministering to such people. I want to minister to those whose hearts are in the right place, wanting more of God. I do not want to waste time speaking to anyone whose sense of value lies not in the things of the Spirit but in a degree or a doctorate.

More than one person has asked me whether I regret losing that doctorate. Definitely not! I have not missed anything. My ministry is just as fruitful and effective. The doctorate would never have made my ministry effective but it would have affected me if I had taken it up _ it would have made me vain.
Please do not get me wrong. I am not against doctorates and degrees or the conferment of titles. I am merely saying that we must know where and how to draw the line. Study is good and every minister should be doing his own on-going study of the Word. Only watch out that you do not study until your head swells and your spirit shrinks, until you see a demon in the face but call it a “complex” or a bad habit and do not know how to deal with it.

“Look from the top,” says the Bridegroom to His bride. Yes, look from the top and let us get God’s perspective on the whole picture. What does He say?

Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgement and righteousness, in the earth: for these things I delight, saith the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

Yes, may God soon raise up a generation of men and women right across this nation who will be willing to lose it all, whatever it may be. May they be standard-bearers who will both understand and know the Lord: that God is a God who relishes the exercising of lovingkindness, judgement and righteousness.

God’s Final Call for the End Times

God’s final call for the end times

The watchman has waited for a book like this for a long time. It came out recently and  it is entitled “God’s Final Call for the End Timesby Pastor Susan Tang. The book is a must for all serious intercessors to read many times over and take heed.

__________Some powerful excerpts and quotations from the book:

PERSONAL WORD (by the author)

Yes, God’s mandate and God’s call for every believer is that we fight for our set apart and apostolic faith, without which we can never overcome the world. (1 John5:4)”

The book of Jude has so impacted me that I know I must be apostolic for if I am not, I may end up an apostate. I cannot be ambiguous in these end-times days.

Indeed NOW is the end and the END HAS BEGUN NOW. This is why we cannot be ambiguous, we must either be apostolic or we will end up as apostates.”

I keep hearing our Lord’s warning so clearly and consistently. This is the reason why this book is written: “watch therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)”

We must know that every form of crisis nations of the world…are all a buildup or prelude to the unspeakable destruction ahead of us.”

If we do not live in awareness of the end, then our present living is nullified and meaningless –we all live as others live…for self and to please self.” (Jeremiah 8:7)

If we do not have the end in view, we will just flow with the present antichrist culture;” “Jesus did not need to go to the cross,” “Is Jesus in the culture or is He above it?

We must live in awareness that society today is not just influenced by education, industry or technology. It is shaped by demons…sin has given them so much influence over the human race, including the Christians. Technology like the mobile phones, the computers and television (which the prophet Jeremiah called ‘windows’ in Jeremiah 9:21) had indeed admitted the spirit of death into so many lives, especially the lives of our youths.”

Like Daniel, I must possess both the tenacity and the intensity to pray and pray and pray even though I do not feel like praying at times.”

Daniel, the end-time prophet, mourned and travailed until a breakthrough came into the heavens, a breakthrough which affected him, his nation and the nations of the world.” (Dan.10:12-14)

There are so many troubled Christians. Is it because our faith is not an apostolic or set-apart faith?”

Why must the church engage in PURPOSEFUL AND INTENSIVE intercessory prayers in these end times called the ‘beginning of sorrows?’ Because God has called us into it and this may well be the final call to prayers to evict the enemy …just before the great tribulation.”

If we are the true church we will have the apostolic distinctive of knowing that the end, or the DAY OF THE LORD is near. All universal shakings and meltdowns now are just birth pangs of the coming kingdom of our Lord. There are calamities, upheavals, crises and great stirrings on earth now because there is war in heaven!

More and more we can feel it as these present evil days…”

It is sad that many Christians are still in denial”

“”The prophets of old saw visions of these dark and foreboding ‘tribulation’ days…” (Ezekiel 21:7; Zechariah 13:8-9)

The purpose of this book is to call you to return to your basic duty -return to your priesthood and be that house of prayer that God wants (Isaiah 56:7).”

CHAPTER 1 -have we missed the vital signs of the Messiah’s second coming?

Learned high priests like Caiphas and Annas could stand in front of the Messiah and not discern that He is the One.” “Many who are made to rule in God’s house do not know the Lord nor understand His word.”

All the vital signs of Christ’s second coming (in heaven and on earth) are pronounced today and yet we carry on as usual; not wanting to make preparations for these coming evil and devastating days that we may be ‘counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)”

Jesus Christ warned us that the day of destruction will come to us like the days of Noah…when people carry on as usual.” “Their time was never deliberately prioritized for God.”

also days when Nimrod arose in defiance against God to form his ‘one world government’ and to build his high towers and monuments.”

also be like the days of Lot” “when fire literally fell out of heaven suddenly!” “Iran and Israel also have nuclear bombs pointed at each other and should one go off, the entire world will be affected.”

CHAPTER 2 The end has begun and the beginning of the end, (‘the beginning of sorrows’) is already here

Today, we too, have talked much about the end times but unfortunately we have also failed to discern that the time is now -it has now come upon us! The next change will be terrible, for almost without warning, the ‘tribulation’ days will come upon us.”

Why couldn’t they discern? Because their hearts were not right. Ambitions and ego-centrality have often robbed men of spiritual discernment. These ambitious men seem to have enough spiritual light to prophesy and sit in their position as the nation’s spiritual leaders (John 11:49-53), but they definitely did not have enough light to carry themselves through to salvation!” “Caiphas prophesied accurately that Jesus is the Saviour but he himself remained unsaved!”

There are many modern Caiphases and Annases today” “They have enough light to teach others and to prophesy but they do not have enough light to acknowledge their own sin so that they can be saved.”

The light that comes from one’s scholarship, study, degrees, etc., must be tempered with the light that comes from our prayers, revelation knowledge and personal experiences with God which must result in self-denial, humility and servanthood.”

CHAPTER 3 -Intensified prayers from the remnant will evict the enemy out of the heaven

Since Israel as a nation, did not want to keep their distinction as God’s people…the prophet Daniel and his three undefiled friends did it for them.”

May God, in His mercy, in these troublesome and turbulent days of much spiritual upheaval and natural disasters, also raise up a ‘Daniel-like’ group of people who will remain distinct and whose spirit and intercessory travail will be of the same pattern, in order to reach out to God.”

Deborah proclaimed that when there were leaders (leading by examples) then the people would willingly offer themselves (Judges 5:2). She was commissioned and she was willing so she just got in there and led by example! And people were willing to follow her. Do you want prayer groups set up? You need to lead by example.”

The time to pray and travail is NOW, not later when the heat is on because our ability to stand will come from the sum total of the times we have spent in the presence of God.

Israel went after God when they were in the wilderness because they had nothing. (Jeremiah 2:2)” “You may find this hard to believe, but God is definitely going to bring both the church and Israel back to the ‘wilderness days‘ again.

CHAPTER 4 -Halt the enemy’s activities to accelerate God’s work in the spiritual realm

It is vital we pray with prophetic declaration to declare what God Himself has already declared in these end times.”

We need to do what Ezekiel did -speak directly into the situation (Ezekiel 36). “

Such is the power of God’s word! Jesus taught His disciples to speak to the mountains, not pray, if they want the mountains to shift.” (Matt.17:20)

We puncture these times of great deception, desertion, depression, darkness and desolation with God’s spoken words, God’s declarations that are true and right!”

CHAPTER 5 -To know the end we must know the beginning

We have no excuse of not knowing the end because God has taken the end and hidden it in the beginning!

To me, the key that unlocks end times is found in Isaiah which says: Remember the former things of old…there is none like Me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done…” (Isa.46:8-10)

CHAPTER 6 -Intensified suffering means intensified miracles, signs and wonders

As Daniel travailed in prayers on earth, angelic activities prevailed in heaven!

The ‘open heaven’ coming our way when God’s fullness is experienced is as sure as the coming of the days of tribulation!”

We must recognize that Daniel symbolizes a corporate group of God’s people who must rise up in these end times to engage themselves in purposeful and relentless prayers.”

This is why God told us to be a generation of priests -why have we forsaken our destiny? If the church is not a kingdom of priests ministering to God and apprehending His fullness for the nations of the world, what then is the church?”

Remember, as long as the hands of Moses, representing the prayers of the nation, were lifted up towards heaven, Israel has the upper hand over the Amalekites.”

To watch and pray means we pray with the word of God into every situation and see all present situations as God sees them. We keep our spiritual antenna up and we are to be alert to present signs and world events.”

Pray with intensity and pray fervently, which means your spirit, soul and body must be in agreement.”

CONCLUSION -we are now in the end times

The end has certainly begun…twenty-four hours a day God’s ears are bombarded by the outcries of sin in the nations of the world but He wants to hear prayers, confessions, supplications but they seem to be getting lesser and lesser.”

May God…also give you the courage to change and prioritize your time to pray, to be ‘thrown in’ together with this great network of intercessors spanning both heaven and earth.”

You must heed the final call to fight, to enter into godly travail by praying, pleading, declaring…”

So many people complain of being lonely…But when we are bonded up with God and threaded together into His prayer network and are aware that prayer has eternal validity, it will rid us of all loneliness.”

Safety is definitely not the absence of danger but the presence of God, but this presence is not to be taken for granted. We need to spend time to be connected with Him and to bring His presence into where we are.”
