another live testimony: severe pain and cancer healed

John 153

For many years this blogger has heard of divine healing and healed testimonies of various diseases from many different people in developed and developing nations. There seems no difference between people from all national backgrounds and walks of lives when it comes to healing by Jesus and His power in Holy Spirit filled believers using His name. What Jesus has said to His disciples about what those who believe in Him can do, in Mark 16:15-20, has come into physical reality, and many people get healed just by believing what Jesus has said.

As reported in this blog previously some of us have also practiced and experienced divine healing in our daily lives. We have read many books and testimonies and received both Biblical teaching and practical hands on training on divine healing. We have personally encountered healing and also witnessed others healed by our praying over them. We are encouraged by healed testimonies of those whom we prayed over. But we are not discouraged by not receiving testimonies from others.

A fortnight ago an evangelist/Bible teacher in our midst was invited to teach divine healing to a small group and someone brought a couple to her for prayers. The wife was instantly healed of pain which she had suffered for over weeks. The evangelist/Bible teacher went home and was led by the Spirit to invite the couple to come to see her a second time. So they came and she taught them the Bible verses about divine healing. She also prayed over the man who had cancer and had doctors’ report (death sentence) that he had to have lifelong chemotherapy until he dies. But the man had reached a point that he just couldn’t continue with the chemotherapy. The following day he went for a medical check up and the medical report had turned out to confirm that there is now no trace of cancer in him! The couple went home rejoicing and praising God.

It is always very encouraging to hear this. We pray that our readers are encouraged to read and believe in the Bible verses about healing and the healed testimonies of many. How did the couple receive their healing? By faith. They just believed and received with gladness.

Tonight I am led to read again a case of healing by Jesus: Luke 7:1-10 a Roman centurion’s dying servant was healed by Jesus because of the centurion’s faith in Jesus’ word. “But say the word and my servant will be healed.” He believed in the supreme authority of Jesus over sicknesses.

Today we are doing the same as Jesus has commanded His believers. We let the Lord (Holy Spirit) fill and lead us, use Jesus’ name, His word and authority to command sicknesses to depart. And we have witnessed many healed testimonies. I believe the latest healed testimony is a breakthrough in faith in action. Faith on the part of the healer and the patients as well.

I am reminded of another passage from the Bible of what Jesus said to His disciples in John 15 that he is the vine and we are the branches and unless we abide in Him we cannot do anything. This is a command for anyone who practices divine healing. Meditate on His words and let Jesus speak to you too. The evangelist/Bible teacher and the couple who came for help have held fast to John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Indeed, Jesus’ words came to pass.

The motivating force must be love. Only the love of Christ can compel a believer to want to give his or her life to serve in the divine healing ministry. John 15:9-13. Jesus has set the example and blazed the trail. This is the difference between those who continue to bear fruit and those who no longer bear fruit. A heart that is after God’s heart bears good fruit.

Belief in Jesus name is most important for healing. I have overcome my unbelief and seen supernatural results.

Don’t explain away the healed assurance even when we don’t see immediate effect. Hold fast like a bull dog. Just continue believing. Then the results will always manifest. Because it’s supernatural. God is supernatural.

A New Direction (from Andrew Wommack)

Construction Continues at the Sanctuary

As I’m sure you’re aware, we had to pause our construction at The Sanctuary at the end of December 2015 because of finances. I actually took out a line of credit on December 22 to meet our obligations with television and salaries, but the great news is that we paid that back in less than forty-five days. Thank You, Jesus! We are back on track to do everything debt free.

My original plan was to wait until we built up a $4 million buffer before restarting construction. This was to absorb any fluctuations in income or expenses so we wouldn’t run into this problem again. But something happened that has presented me with a new opportunity.

We are so cramped for space at The Barn that we are facing forced limitations on how many people can come to our conferences. We are dealing with this by possibly having students and staff go down to our facilities in Colorado Springs and watch the meetings via live stream. This only affects our major meetings, such as Summer Family Bible Conference, the Ministers’ Conference, Healing Is Here, and Charis Business Summit.

But the more pressing issue is office space and our Phone Center. As I told you months ago, I gave up my office space at The Sanctuary, and we’ve moved as many people as possible down to our offices in Colorado Springs, which already house over 250 employees. I went to talk to one of our IT people at The Barn, and they are actually occupying a storage space on the roof for their offices.

Our Phone Center is 90 percent staffed by Charis Bible College students. This makes for wonderful prayer ministers who do a great job, but it hinders us during Charis class hours. Right now, one of our largest volumes of calls comes from Daystar viewers, beginning at 6:50 a.m. and continuing for the next hour. Our Charis students have to leave around 7:00 a.m. to make it up to Woodland Park by the start of classes at 8:00 a.m.

This drop in people available to answer calls has dramatically limited our ability to respond during this time. We are losing hundreds of calls per day. Some of them may call back later, but we don’t know that for sure.

To solve these problems, my staff proposed looking at places in Woodland Park to rent for additional space. If we had our call center nearby in Woodland Park, the students would be able to take the vast majority of these dropped calls. As we began this process, the man who heads up our construction came to me with the idea of finishing off the part of Phase II that will house our new Phone Center and additional office space. I didn’t know this was an option, but it appears that this will work.

So, we’ve come up with a new plan to finish off the second floor of Phase II on the north and east side of the building. This will allow us to have 150 people answering the phones at one time and will give us around 100 new work spaces.

The changes to accommodate this partial build-out are very minor, and the benefit is enormous. This could be completed by August 2016, and that would be just perfect to accommodate the 1,000 students expected for the new school year beginning in September.

I feel so good about this that I instructed my staff today to go ahead and pursue this plan. Of course, we need the whole building finished as quickly as possible-and I am continuing to believe for that-but this is a bite-sized piece that will provide us with some quick relief.

Over the last eighteen months, we have received an average of $791,000 per month designated for our building projects. It would require just over $1 million per month to complete this partial build-out, or an increase of about $300,000 per month over what we are receiving now. This is one-tenth of the cost of having construction on the whole building going at full throttle. I believe this is very doable and would stop the need for us having to rent additional facilities in Woodland Park.

I’m sending this letter out to the 100,000 people who receive our monthly mailings, and it will also go out to 185,000 people on our email list. We will record some television spots announcing this, reaching millions more. Altogether, this is a piece of cake for Jesus.

I’m asking you to pray about this and participate if the Lord directs you to. As I’ve said many times before, it’s not about the buildings. These buildings are just tools that enable us to minister the true Gospel to people. But they are essential for accomplishing that goal.

Jamie and I and all the people being impacted by this ministry appreciate all you have done and will be doing to get this done. I am more convinced than ever that the Lord is doing something special at Charis. Not long ago, I was able to sit in on chapel at Charis when the students received a taste of our latest musical, God with Us. The writers of all the original music for this were telling us about how people want them on Broadway and in Hollywood and can’t understand why they are living in a small town in the mountains of Colorado. But they shared how the Lord brought them here. This is just one more example of what God is putting together.

No man has done this. No man could do this. Even if I were smart enough to figure this out, there is no way I could compete with all that the secular world has to offer these people. We have millionaires and business tycoons who have fallen in love with Charis and are pouring their lives into these students. David Barton and political figures are investing time and effort into raising up people to take our nation back.

Our media department is training people to communicate the Gospel using all the tools available to us today. Our missions program and ministry track are touching lives all over the world. Our evangelism courses are making a profound impact on our students, who, in turn, are touching the people in their worlds.

Altogether, Charis is doing things I’ve never been able to do. It’s like a tank being brought into battle. Satan’s kingdom is being hurt by what the Lord is doing here. Thanks for being a part of it. We couldn’t do it without you.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew and Jamie

I will take away sickness from among you

God's words fulfilledGod is always faithful to His words. After He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt He spoke through Moses to His people this, “I will take away sickness from among you.” He made this statement to around two million people in the wilderness. (Exodus 23:25) This solemn assurance came with His promise of what He would do to give His people a good life. Did His promises come true in history? Let us read the whole passage and see what had come true. Note what had prevented the children of Israel receiving the promises of God.

Today’s application: Believe in God’s words. Apply in our daily lives. Note that God actually sent His mighty angel commander and heavenly armies in the following historical examples. He is serious about His promises to His people. He takes actions as scheduled. Although we do not understand how it works, and we cannot see the way that Moses and Joshua had seen in the spiritual realm, we believe by faith and God is pleased with faith. Our faith is in our God and not in what we see. (Hebrews 11:6; Mark 11:22-24) I am aware that many of my readers here rely on one verse from the Bible: By Jesus’ stripes we were healed. (1 Peter 2:24). But why are some still not receiving? I believe that the teaching in today’s Bible passages below is relevant and I pray  that as we meditate on these power verses we exercise our faith and receive the divine healing, health and wholeness in all aspects of our lives.

Exodus 23:20-33 New International Version (NIV) God’s Angel to Prepare the Way
20 “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. 21 Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him. 22 If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you. 23 My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out. 24 Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces. 25 Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.

27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run. 28 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way. 29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. 30 Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.

31 “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea[a] to the Mediterranean Sea,[b] and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out before you. 32 Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods. 33 Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”

Exodus 23:31 Or the Sea of Reeds
Exodus 23:31 Hebrew to the Sea of the Philistines

The following passage recorded how the Lord actually fulfilled His words.

Joshua 4:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”
Joshua 5:1-2New King James Version (NKJV)

5:1 So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we[a] had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.
2 At that time the Lord said to Joshua, “Make flint knives for yourself, and circumcise the sons of Israel again the second time.”

Joshua 5:1 Following Kethib; Qere, some Hebrew manuscripts and editions, Septuagint, Syriac, Targum, and Vulgate read they.

Joshua 5:13-15 The Commander of the Army of the Lord
13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”
14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”

15 Then the Commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Joshua 6:2 And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.

Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Joshua 6:24 But they burned the city and all that was in it with fire. Only the silver and gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.

Joshua 6:27 So the Lord was with Joshua, and his fame spread throughout all the country.

Joshua 7:1Defeat at Ai
7 But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi,[a] the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel.

Joshua 7:1 Called Zimri in 1 Chronicles 2:6

Joshua 7:11-12
11 Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. For they have even taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff. 12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.

Joshua 7:15 Then it shall be that he who is taken with the accursed thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”

an innumerable multitude of people had gathered

sowing parableThe word today is “multitudes”. Jesus heals the multitudes. The multitudes came to Him when Jesus was on earth to hear Him and be healed. The multitudes came with various motives. The multitudes responded according to their heart conditions. Jesus sowed the seed (His words) and the condition of the heart of each man in the multitudes determined what happened after that. In the parable of the sowing not all hearts bear a harvest in terms of the words heard. Some do not even germinate. Some have shallow roots and have backed off when encounter obstacles. Some are choked by the world in one’s heart. Only some become fruitful in varying degrees. The truth is: Jesus has come to this world in open and witnessed by many-the multitudes. Many have been given the chance to be saved and healed. Some have received and some have not. Is there another chance for the multitudes of today? Today is the chance. Reality check: heart condition.

Luk 1:10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

Luk 5:1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

Luk 6:17 And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases,

Luk 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Luk 8:4 And when a great multitude had gathered, and they had come to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable:

Luk 8:37 Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the Gadarenesfn asked Him to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear. And He got into the boat and returned.

Luk 8:40 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him.

Luk 9:12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

Luk 9:16 Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude.

Luk 9:37 Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him.

Luk 9:38 Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, “Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.

Luk 12:1 In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Luk 13:17 And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him.

Luk 18:36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.

Luk 19:37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,

Luk 22:6 So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of the multitude.

Luk 22:47 And while He was still speaking, behold, a multitude; and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him.

Luk 23:1 Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate.

Luk 23:27 And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him.

Twin promises that are prophesied and accomplished fact: salvation and healing

[1Pe 2:24 NKJV] 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed.

[Isa 53:5 NKJV] 5 But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

[Heb 9:28 NKJV] 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

[Rom 7:6 NKJV] 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not [in] the oldness of the letter.

“How To Live and Not Die.” (a testimony)

Dale and Pearl RaatzThe healed testimony of this couple is very powerful and touching. The wife had a ‘ruptured aneurysm’ and was pronounced hopeless by the doctors. But the husband did not give up. He persisted in believing in God’s words and kept proclaiming those words. She lived and did not die. She was miraculously supernaturally healed and health (functioning) fully restored.

Pearl Raatz was miraculously healed after her husband, Dale, continually interceded for her. – Listen to the radio interview at:

“Honey, I think I’m going to faint!’

Feeling a sudden, alarming sensation in her head, Pearl Raatz stumbled over to a church pew and sat down. It was February 15, 1997. Pearl and her husband Dale, pastors of a church in Wausaukee, Wisconsin, had just arrived at a church in Iron Mountain, Michigan, ready to enjoy a music concert with some fellow pastors. But when Pearl blurted out those words, their plans changed abruptly.

Dale ran over to his wife, laid hands on her and began to pray. Pearl continued to moan, “Oh, my head, my head!” Then she screamed, “My head just blew off!” and went into convulsions. After the convulsions subsided a few minutes later, Pearl lay in a coma, motionless.

Dales natural mind was in a state of shock as he tried to grasp this sudden life-and-death crisis. But Dale had stored too much Word in his heart over the years to react out of his limited natural reasoning to this unexpected emergency.

Dale and Pearl had known each other all their lives before they were married in 1962. Raised in the same Pentecostal church, both were saved and Spirit-filled as children. They answered the call to the ministry together and assumed the pastorate of their fist church in 1971.

Then in the mid-’70s the Raatzes read three of Brother Hagins books: What Faith Is, The Real Faith, and The Authority of the Believer. The simple truths in those books literally transformed the couples lives, teaching them how to stand in faith on their covenant with God and receive their rightful inheritance in Christ. In Pearl’s words, “Brother Hagin’s teaching brought us out of religion and into a true reality in the Lord.” Over the years they witnessed miracle after miracle, not only in their lives, but also in the lives of those they had ministered to. And now, as Pearl lay in a coma, they needed another one.

As Dale gazed at his wife lying unconscious on the church pew, a righteous indignation rose up in his spirit, and he declared with boldness: “I apply the blood of Jesus all over you, Pearl. You shall live and not die, and declare the works of the Lord [Ps. 118:17]! Death angel, you must leave in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!”

When Dale spoke God’s Word over Pearl, nothing changed outwardly in her condition. But an irreversible stance of faith was established in Dales heart at that moment regarding his wife’s healing: His wife would live and not die. Dale’s stance would be sorely tested in the days to come, but he would never waver.

Pearl remained in a deep coma as the medical crew rushed her to the hospital. As the doctors examined her, Dale and the pastor who had accompanied the Raatzes to the hospital went into the adjoining waiting room. Then the two men began to worship the Lord while declaring the promises of God’s Word concerning Pearl’s healing.

“As we prayed and worshiped the Lord,” Dale related, “I was so grateful for the teaching I had received from Brother Hagin regarding faith and the believer’s authority. Scripture after scripture just rolled out of my mouth as I spoke to this ‘mountain’ of physical destruction according to Mark 11:23 and by faith commanded it to be removed from my wife’s body.

After examining Pearl, the doctor in charge solemnly explained her diagnosis to Dale. An aneurysm (a sac form by the stretching of an artery wall) had ruptured in the center of Pearl’s brain, causing severe cerebral hemorrhaging. The blood had seeped into both sides of her brain, triggering a massive stroke that left Pearl’s right side totally paralyzed.

The doctor gave Dale almost no hope that Pearl would survive. If against all odds she did live, the doctor said, the amount of damage done to her brain would leave her completely incapacitated.

At Dale’s request, Pearl was transferred to a more advanced medical facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay doctor gave Dale the same prognosis of Pearl’s condition: “There is no hope, Sir. No hope.” But Dale instantly overrode the negative report in his mind with the promise of a God that had been quickened in his heart: “She will live and not die!”

The normal medical procedure after a ruptured aneurysm is to surgically repaired the damaged artery and drain the blood that had escaped. In Pearl’s case, however, the doctors believed surgery would be futile because the aneurysm and was so deeply embedded hence so much blood had already spilled into her brain so they waited helplessly for Pearl to die.

But twenty-one hours later, Pearl had defied all natural expectations – she was still alive! Surgery was finally performed, but once again the doctors’ natural report produced no hope. “We can try to drain as much blood as possible off your wife’s brain,” they told him. “But even if she physically survives the surgery, so much blood has been on her brain for so long, your wife will never have her right mind again. Even if she ever comes out of the coma, she’ll never remember anything. She’ll never walk again. She will be nothing more than a vegetable.”

No! Dale thought. That’s not the way it has to be! The Bible says everything that has a name has to bow to the Name of Jesus [Phil. 2:9,10] It also says that I am able to call those things that be not as though they were [Rom. 4:17]. Pearl’s brain is a name – and by faith I can call its normal!

Pearl did survive the surgery, just as Dale expected, but she remained in a deep coma. So Dale went into the ICU room where Pearl lay and began to speak to the “mountain” – Pearls injured brain. “Brain, ” he declared, “according to the Word of God, you are a name, and you must bow to the name of Jesus. By faith I call you completely restored and whole according to Romans 4: 17!”

“I stayed with Pearl day and night,” Dale related, “declaring her brain to be restored and made whole. For days I saw no evidence of any change in Pearl’s condition – but neither did I change my confession of faith! The Lord instructed me in my spirit during this time, saying, “Don’t look at what you can see with your eyes. Just the persistent in believing My Word. Hold fast to your confidence that My Promise to you will come to pass.”

On the tenth day following Pearl’s ruptured aneurysm, the doctor came to Dale with nightmarish news. “Sir,” he said grimly, “it looks like we’re going to lose your wife today. Her body is closing down.”

Immediately Dale heard the Lord say in his spirit, “Hold fast your confidence. Don’t accept that report.” So as the doctor walked out of the room, Dale prayed, “Lord, I need someone with my kind of faith to rejoice with me today. I believe You’re going to send someone who can stand with me for Pearl’s life and complete restoration.”

That evening, the phone-in Pearl is hospital room rang. It was the pastor of a Church in Green Bay whom Dale had never heard of before. “I’ve heard about your wife’s condition,” the pastor said. “May I come and meet you?”

Dale knew by an inner witness that he had found the man he was believing for. So he told the pastor, “Yes, Sir! Come right on over!” When the Pastor arrived, Dale asked him some questions to locate him spiritually. And the pastor began to declare the same faith principles Dale had learned years earlier from Brother Hagins books! Dale exclaimed, “Brother, you’re the man I want today.”

Dale and the pastor all went into Pearl’s room and asked the nurse to let them have some time alone with her. For forty-five minutes straight, the two men just sang songs of praise and worship to the Lord together, thanking him that Pearl would live and not die. Then they simultaneously stop singing, and Dale looked at the pastor, smiled, and said, “Brother, the battle is over. I know the battle is over.” The two men walked out of Pearl’s room rejoicing, and the pastor left to go home.

A short time later, Dale’s son and daughter went into the room to visit their mother. Within a few seconds they came out running, shouting, “Dad! Dad! Mom’s awake!”

When he heard their report, Dale exclaimed, “Praise God, I expected that!” and hurried to see his wife, who, though awakened from the coma, was still unaware of her surroundings. Then he called the pastor, who had just arrived home. “Brother,” Dale told him, “Pearl just woke up!”

In recalling the excitement of the moment, Dale said, “That was the best news that good man had ever heard! That day we both saw God’s Word verified before our very eyes!”

An important battle had been won in this life-and-death fight of faith. But the loss of Pearl’s mental faculties through “permanent” brain damage still had to be miraculously restored. Her right side also remained completely paralyzed as a result of the stroke; and her paralyzed throat made it impossible for her to swallow.

Dale continued to apply the truths he had learned from reading Brother Hagins books as he spoke God’s Word to be Pearl’s brain, proclaiming it whole and completely restored. But now he also began to focus his faith on her paralyzed right side, constantly speaking life over his wife’s body. “Stroke, you’re a name,” he would say. “Paralyzed body, you’re a name. And every name must bow to the name of Jesus! The anointed, creative Word of God undoes this damage and quickens life into these dead muscles and limbs!”

A week passed – then another, and Dale saw little change in Pearls condition. She wasn’t responding mentally to outside stimuli and her right side remained lifeless and immobile. But Dale never once changed his confession of faith. He faithfully remained by her bedside day in and day out, filling his hours with praise and worship and the confession of God’s promises over his wife.

Those were difficult days for Dale, even though he believed in his heart that God’s word would be ultimately prevail. Three different times he was awakened from a deep sleep by the devil’s insistent, tormenting thoughts: Let Pearl die. She will just be a burden to you. Let her die in peace! And three different times Dale resisted those thoughts in the name of Jesus until he was able to peacefully sleep through the night.

Dale finally saw concrete evidence of answered prayers during Pearl’s fourth week in hospital when her mental faculties miraculously started to return to normal. Then one day during that week, Dale saw the right side of his wife’s throat suddenly begin to move as he sat by her bed worshipping the Lord.

Immediately Dale called in the nurse and told there, “I believe Pearl can swallow now.”

“Oh, no, she’s paralyzed!” The nurse protested.

“I know that’s been her condition,” Dale responded, “but the Name of Jesus is greater than paralysis! Please tell the doctor that I want us to try to give her a bite to eat.”

While the nurse located the doctor, Dale to talk to Pearl. “Honey, in the name of Jesus you going to swallow, aren’t you?” he asked. Pearl nodded her head yes.

When the nurse returned with the doctor and several medical staff members, they transported Pearl to another room. Then they tied Pearl to a table, using its support to stand her up right to reduce any risk of choking on the food.

The nurse tried one more time to talk some “sense” into Dale. “You know,” she said, “there is absolutely no moisture in your wife’s mouth. She hasn’t had a drop of water in her throat for four weeks! There isn’t any saliva in her mouth to help her swallow. She could choke and die!”

“I understand what you’re saying,” Dale calmly answered, “but Pearl agreed with me that she would swallow in Jesus’ Name – and she will by the power in God’s Word! I believe that the moment food is put into her mouth, her saliva glands will begin to function normally.” A special camera was set up to monitor what a place in Pearls mouth when she was given a bite of food. Dale and the medical staff watched the display carefully. As if on cue, Pearl’s saliva glands activated as she chewed the morsel of food. Then her formerly paralyzed throat swallowed the food with no problem!

The staff members just turned and stared at Dale, who happily explained, “Praise You, Jesus!”

That day marked the beginning of the end of the Raatzes’ ordeal. And every day after that, Pearl took another miraculous step toward her complete healing. Most rapid of all was the restoration of her mental processes. This woman who was supposedly do to remain virtually brain dead for the rest of her life was swiftly regaining total use of her mind.

Now that Pearl was able to eat food once again, Dale insisted on being the one to feed her. He used mealtimes as opportunities to speak the word of over his wife as she ate and it wasn’t long before he saw the results of his efforts.

“I was sitting there feeding Pearl,” Dale recalls, “when I saw two fingers of Pearl’s right hand come alive then begin to move! When that happened, I immediately placed the spoon between those two fingers and helped her to begin to feed herself. By the end of that day, Pearl’s entire right hand was no longer be paralyzed. And by the next morning the next morning, her right arm and shoulder had also come to life. The principles of faith and the Authority of the believer we had learned years ago was working effectively in our lives!

“Pearl greatly enjoyed being able to feed herself once again. But her right leg was still as lifeless a bowl of Jell-O. So I prayed, “Lord what’s wrong? Why has Pearls arm come alive but her leg is still paralyzed?”

“The Lord spoke to my spirit, saying, ‘You haven’t spoken to their specific they “mountain” yet’. Then impressed me to look up 11: 25, which says, a “… I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

“So I sat next to be Pearls hospital bed with an open Bible in hand and began to declare, “Leg, you may be dead – but you’re going to live! The life of God is flowing into you!” I sat there for four hours without moving, speaking the Word to that leg.”

Then all of the sudden, Pearl said to her husband, “Honey, get my shoes.” Dale looked at her legs and realized that Pearl was wiggling her toes! He could even see the nerves and muscles in her leg begin to jump and move as they came to life.

Dale joyfully looked for a nurse. When he found her, he asked, “Where’s Pearl’s shoes? She needs them, because she’s going to walk!” The nurse’s response of skepticism was predictable as she followed Dale back to Pearl’s room. But when she witnessed the movement in Pearls leg and toes, within moments, Pearl had her shoes!

Dale once again applied the simple faith principles he had learned from Brother Hagen’s books. “I knew faith had to have corresponding action,” he explained. “So I helped Pearl put her shoes on. Then I supported her with my own body as I helped her stand upright and take a few steps. She didn’t walk very well that first time – but she did walk!”

All Pearl needed now was therapy and exercise to help strengthen the leg that had just come back to life. To everyone’s amazement, she was walking up and down the hospital hallways using a Walker within two days. And less than two weeks later, she walked out of the hospital and her own accord!

Those in the medical field who are familiar with Pearl’s case are astounded her miraculous healing. They know the enormous odds that were against her surviving the ruptured brain aneurysm and massive stroke, much less being completely restored! But that is exactly what happened. Pearl now enjoys full use of her motor skills and leads an active, healthy life as a wife, mother, grandmother, and minister of the Gospel.

When asked about her brain – which, according to medical science, was never to be normal again – Pearl said, “My mind is probably better than it was before I had the ruptured aneurysm and stroke! For instance, I’ve noticed that I’m able to solve math problems in my head that I could never have solved before without writing them down. And except for those first four weeks of my stay in the hospital, my memory has been completely restored. In fact, you wouldn’t know to look at me that I ever went through a life-threatening ordeal such a short time ago!”

Today, Pearl minister’s right alongside her husband as they travel in evangelistic work around the country. The central message they proclaim wherever they go is “How To Live an Not Die.”

As Dale applied the principles of mountain-moving faith that Brother Hagen taught them, Pearl’s “mountain of death was moved out of their lives. And now the Raatze’s teach others the timeless truths of God’s Word so they can also receive God’s best through believing faith!

Remember to send it to your friends for encouragement!

“Our Authority Releases God’s Power” : a timely teaching today

I found this good and relevant article today as I ponder on why there are people who are not healed. Why do Christians feel helpless when encountering sickness in their own family? What has God provided for us who believe? I was led to look at the resources which I have trusted for over ten years, online and here is the exact message I need! I have received feedback that many have been blessed by the resources and teachings from the Bible-based healing web-sites posted here. I pray this one and the related audio/video teachings will help you too.

“Our Authority Releases God’s Power”

by Andrew Wommack
There are a number of keys to seeing the miraculous power of God manifest on a consistent basis. One of the least understood, and therefore seldom practiced, is the fact that healing is under the authority of the believer. God has already provided His healing power and placed it on the inside of every born-again believer. It is up to us to release it. Understanding and using our authority is the key to seeing miracles happen.

Look at how Peter and John ministered healing to the lame man in Acts 3:1-8:

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”

Notice that Peter didn’t pray for this man. He also didn’t ask God to heal him. He said, “Such as I have give I thee.” This didn’t mean that Peter was the source of this healing. Notice what Peter said in Acts 3:12,

“And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?”

It was God’s power that healed this man, but that power was under Peter’s authority. Peter went on to say in verse 16 that it was faith in the name of Jesus that had wrought this miracle. But Peter didn’t ask God to heal this man. He believed the Lord had already done His part and had placed that power within him. Now it was Peter’s responsibility to release that power, and that’s just what he did.

The Lord never told us to pray for the sick in the sense that we ask Him to heal them. He told us to heal the sick. There is a BIG difference between the two. It has to do with operating in the authority He has already given us. Look at these commands the Lord gave His disciples.

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”(Luke 9:1-2)

“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” (Matt. 10:1)

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:7-8)

Jesus told us to heal the sick not pray for the sick. What a radical statement! This will get you kicked out of most churches today, but these are the exact words of our Lord Jesus Christ. And this is precisely why more people don’t see the miraculous results they’re praying for. They aren’t taking their authority and commanding God’s power; they’re passively asking God to do what He told them to do.

I know this goes contrary to popular Christian doctrine. We’re constantly told that it’s not us but God who is the Healer, and I agree with that totally. But, I also believe that God has placed His healing power under our authority, and it is up to us to release it. If we don’t take our authority and become commanders instead of beggars, God’s power will not be released. There needs to be a radical renewing of our thinking on this issue.

A good friend of mine, Dave Duell, held a meeting in Africa many years ago. It was one of his first times he saw miracles such as the blind and deaf healed. The people were so excited that they were mobbing him as he walked through the streets, trying to touch him so they could be healed. His first thought was influenced by this religious thinking I’m trying to change. He thought, They shouldn’t be looking to me. I’m not the healer; it is Jesus. He was about to stop them when the Lord spoke to him. The Lord said, “Dave, do you remember when I rode that donkey into Jerusalem, and all the people put their garments and palm branches in the way and cried, ‘Hosanna’? What would you have thought if the donkey had spoken up and said, ‘It’s not me! It’s not me’? That would only have revealed the donkey’s arrogance. No one was praising the donkey; they were praising the One that was riding the donkey.”

When Dave recognized the people weren’t trying to touch him but the One he was carrying, he let them touch him all they wanted and people were healed. This is exactly what happened with the first-century disciples. Peter had people line the streets so that if only his shadow would touch them, they would be healed (Acts. 5:15).

Look at an amazing passage of Scripture in Isaiah 45:11.

“Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”

What a powerful scripture! What does the Lord mean when He tells us to command Him? Well, He certainly doesn’t mean we are mightier and more powerful than Him and can order Him around. He means, concerning the things He has already done, He wants us to take our authority and command His power.

It’s like electricity. The power company generates the power and delivers it to your house. It’s not your power, but it’s under your control. You don’t call the power company and ask them to turn the lights on. No! They won’t do that. They generate the power, but it’s under your command. You simply flip the switch on the wall and command the power to work. Does this mean you are the power source? Certainly not! You can put a light bulb in your mouth, and it will never come on. You aren’t the power source, but you are the one in control of what that power does. You can plead with the power company all you want, but they won’t flip the switch for you. You have to assume your authority and acknowledge the power is under your command.

That’s what the Lord was speaking of. He has already healed everyone who will ever be healed. He did it two thousand years ago when He bore our stripes on His back. Then He deposited His resurrection power inside every believer (Eph. 1:19-20). He’s done His part, and now it is up to us to do ours. We need to take the authority He has given us and become commanders instead of beggars. This is a powerful truth that works, and it’s the reason we see so many miraculous healings. We aren’t just praying for the sick; we are healing them in Jesus’ name.

I know this line of thinking raises as many questions as it does answers, so I’ve produced a teaching on The Believer’s Authority. I have some radical teachings in this album. For example, who do you think made Satan? Most people think that God made Satan, but that’s not so. God created Lucifer, a wonderful, powerful, godly angel, but it was mankind who made Satan. There is a difference between creating and making. This could revolutionize your whole approach toward the devil. Satan isn’t using some superhuman, angelic authority against us; he’s using the authority and power that was given to man by God. Therefore, Satan can’t do anything to us without our consent and cooperation. Hallelujah!

Jesus saves and heals! Get rid of the obstacles!

Jesus_Healing_the_Man_with_Leprosy2What prevents us from receiving and living Jesus’ super-abundant life? What obstacles (Jesus calls them ‘defilement’) block us from receiving? Can we do anything to remove them?

We know of many human ways to prevent illness (body and mind), and many concern with physical food (intake). We read today what Jesus has taught His disciples on what make a person sick (unwell). Jesus has promised His believer an abundant life. Let us read and pray that the Lord give us discernment and understanding. Let us pray that the Lord shows us how to overcome those things that continue to hinder us from His divine healing and wellness. God wants us well. God has provided healing through Jesus for all who come to Him and believe. (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24)

There is no defilement that Jesus is unwilling to cleanse and heal. A leper who was avoided and rejected by his community went to Jesus and asked for cleansing even though he was uncertain whether Jesus would do it. But Jesus responded with mercy and compassion and said He was willing. Jesus touched the unclean leper and healed him. (Matthew 8:1-3 )

Mark 7:1-23 (NKJV) (Quotes in parts; boldness added; my notes in italics)

Notes: The Pharisees and scribes are executors and teachers of the Jewish traditions and laws originally derived from Moses’ teachings. Their tradition added minute and tedious man-made details to the original Law of Moses. The religious leaders scrutinized Jesus’ disciples to find physical proofs so that they could accuse Him and discredit Him and proclaim to the people that  Jesus was not a genuine teacher (Rabbi) of the Law. Because of jealousy, they were even attempting to find a way to sentence Him to death.

~~~~~~Mark 7:1 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem. Now when[a] they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault…holding the tradition of the elders…  And there are many other things which they have received and hold, like the washing of cups, pitchers, copper vessels, and couches. Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”
Notes: But Jesus knew what those enemies were scheming in their heart. They were hypocrites, acting and claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which their own behavior does not conform. Jesus pointed out that their heart were not right with God. Therefore they could not really obey and follow God’s commandments.
~~~~~~Mark 7: He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:  ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’[b] For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men[c] 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

Notes: Following the above confrontation with the religious hypocrites, Jesus went further to teach on what makes a person sick. Please note that He is not talking about hygiene here. He separated the person into two parts: the outer part and the inner part. Sickness originates from the inner part. Jesus used the term “defile” to describe the cause of ‘sickness’ (harm to our body). The body is created and programmed to filter and pass out visible refuse and waste. But there are other invisible refuse which cause harm to a person often without being detected. Jesus said that physical food cannot enter our heart. But the unseen evil can enter a man’s heart without detection and produces evil harmful outcome.

~~~~~~Mark 7: 14 When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear Me, everyone, and understand…but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man… 17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him … 18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, 19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”[g]
Notes: What are the stuff that can enter the heart, put poison there, and produce evil outcome?  Thoughts, schemes, attitude, desires, actions, spoken words, behavior, conduct of lives (toward God, self and others). Jesus gave the following list of evil stuff that causes harm to a person:
Mark 7:21-23 Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 For from within, [that is] out the heart of men, come base and malevolent thoughts and schemes, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 acts of greed and covetousness, wickedness, deceit, unrestrained conduct, envy and jealousy, slander and profanity, arrogance and self-righteousness and foolishness (poor judgment). 23 All these evil things [schemes and desires] come from within and defile and dishonor the man.”
  2. Mark 7:7 Isaiah 29:13
  3. Mark 7:8 NU-Text omits the rest of this verse.
  4. Mark 7:10 Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16
  5. Mark 7:10 Exodus 21:17
  6. Mark 7:16 NU-Text omits this verse.
  7. Mark 7:19 NU-Text ends quotation with eliminated, setting off the final clause as Mark’s comment that Jesus has declared all foods clean.
Isaiah 53:4-5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
1 Peter 2:24-25 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [a][as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
25 For you were going astray like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian ([b]the Bishop) of your souls.
andrew wommackHow To: Flow In The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
By Andrew Wommack
Free audio download of complete teachings here at:
(Excerpts with highlight, boldness and italics added) I believe that one of the biggest reasons that the body of Christ hasn’t made a greater impact on our generation today is because of our failure to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Without a doubt, Jesus and the first apostles used the gifts like a bell, calling men to their message and confirming that God was truly the One speaking through them.
Hebrews 2:3-4 says, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; … God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” The Lord bore witness to the accuracy of their message through miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said all true believers would flow in the miraculous: “And these signs will follow them that believe; …” If a Christian’s life isn’t supernatural, it’s superficial.
Mark goes on to say that messages based in God’s Word would be confirmed by signs following: “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them … And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”
Jesus even said, “If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not” (John 10:37). That’s a strong statement. If we were to apply that standard to ministers today, most wouldn’t be believed.
The vast majority of preaching done in the name of the Lord today is without the power of the Holy Spirit manifest through the gifts of the Holy Spirit…However, regardless of the rationale, it’s absurd to think that we can be effective without the power of the Holy Spirit confirming the preaching of God’s Word. If Jesus and the early apostles needed their preaching validated, how can we do any less?…The Lord has used the gifts of the Holy Spirit mightily in my life and ministry to confirm His Word. There are countless times when people were still skeptical after hearing me teach, but the demonstration of God’s power through the gifts turned them into believers…Hallelujah!
One of the most important steps to flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to earnestly desire them. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:31, “But covet earnestly the best gifts.” He repeated that thought in 1 Corinthians 14:1…“Desire spiritual gifts.” … You have to seek these gifts with all your heart (Jer. 29:13).
It’s also very important to understand that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are always flowing. God doesn’t turn them “on” and “off.” We are the ones who are “on” or “off.” …The Lord is always ready to flow through us in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
It’s just like praying in tongues. We don’t have to wait for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to come on us to speak in tongues. We can pray in tongues at any time. It’s not us turning on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always on and giving us the ability to speak in tongues. Therefore, whenever we turn ourselves on, the gift of tongues is there to allow us to communicate with our heavenly Father. Praise the Lord! That’s the way it is with all the gifts.
I remember one time that I was teaching along these lines in our Charis Bible College…I was telling them things that had to be coming from the Holy Spirit…Whenever we put ourselves in a mode to be His channel, His gifts will flow.
First John 2:27 says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.”
Another great truth about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit is …”the divine flow.” This is based on, “God is love” (1 John 4:8)…All we have to do is follow that flow through faith.
Once when I was pastoring a little church in Pritchett, Colorado, my heart just went out to a woman in the back of the room. I’d never seen her before…but I knew God’s love was flowing; and therefore, God and His gifts were flowing to her. I just started by saying, “God loves you.” God then flooded my mind with things to minister to her…They were set free.
This was the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom in operation. God gave the knowledge of what had happened and then gave words of wisdom to instruct them on how to deal with it. This all came because I followed the love that I felt in my heart.
This has happened to us all, but most of the time we don’t understand this is a gift of the Holy Spirit, and we miss an opportunity. I’ve learned this the hard way…
It is imperative that we learn to recognize and flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It’s not only a blessing to us, but the lives of other people may depend on it. You are carrying someone’s miracle. Don’t let it stay inside. You have to learn how to release it.
There is much more that the Lord has shown me about flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit…My new three-part album is laced with personal examples of how the Lord has used me in the gifts. I share how I learned to recognize and respond to God’s gifts in such a practical way that I know it will help you to do the same. This is very practical teaching about a very supernatural lifestyle. It’s awesome!
This blogger has witnessed the flow in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit building up believers in various different communities: The Lord has confirmed His purposed words as they are being preached or taught. Jesus has repeatedly taught this truth. He has declared, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4) “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you – they are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63)
divine healing
This health blogger traveler has traveled more geographically in recent years and encountered more physical and mental needs for healing than any other needs among both the poor and the rich, less-developed and developed, rural and urban societies. Here are my personal sharing of how divines healing from God have manifested.
  1. In all cases there were felt and humbly admitted needs from the persons who received the divine healing. (Isaiah 57:15; Matthew 23:12; James 4:6)
  2. The power of the Holy Spirit manifested and could often be felt by the ones seeking to be healed. (Acts 1:8)
  3. My prayers for their healing consisted three essential parts: belief in the words of God (that by Jesus stripes they were healed), by faith and not by sight (Hebrews 11:1-2, 6), by the power of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:7; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 15:19).
  4. I read the relevant words of God (Bible verses) with the ones to be prayed for. I then asked them whether they believed. When they believed and agreed that they needed the power of the Holy Spirit I prayed for the power from above to enable them to receive what the words of God had already declared and they had already believed. (Psalm 107:20; Romans 10:17; Galatians 3:2)
  5. I then spoke to the ‘mountain’ (whatever they suffered from) in the name of Jesus to command it to leave the inflicted person and go. (Matthew 17:20; Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6)
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.
The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
[ Many Healed in the Evening ] When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”
Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Hebrews 11:1-2, 6
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Managing anger and emotions (resources)
We have seen many patients who suffer the symptoms to physical and mental (including emotional) illnesses with the root traced back to uncontrollable anger (and other emotions) and prolonged inability in coping with the related stress. Today this blogger is led to share this teaching by Andrew Wommack. I take the liberty to share the the links for audio download.  We all need this teaching. Let’s listen together and be rid of the lies and deceptions that have hurt many of us for so long. By now many are aware that substance (alcohol, drugs, many forms of addictions including excessive food, other forms of excessive and immoral sensual gratifications, anything that hurt and harm your own conscience, that some have resorted and to which are bound in bondage) abuses can only bring further damages in your bodies and your souls. Please listen and be healed from uncontrollable anger (rage) and unharnessed emotions. One very good related teaching is Andrew Wommack’s teaching on Spirit, Soul and Body too.
Anger Management by Andrew Wommack
Every person deals with anger. There is no escaping it. But are we dealing with our anger the way God’s Word instructs us to? There is a type of anger that is godly, but even the more common, ungodly anger is very misunderstood. It’s not people and circumstances that make us angry. In this teaching, Andrew shares truths from God’s Word on the subject of anger that are as rare as gold. An ungodly anger is the social norm today. Psychology’s diagnosis of the cause and treatment for anger is totally off-base. God’s Word tells us all we need to know to manage our anger in a godly way.
Harnessing Your Emotions by Andrew Wommack
We all have emotions, but do they rule us or do we rule them? Psychologists and Christians alike agree that actions are the result of inner thoughts and feelings, emotions. But that is where the agreement ends. The Word says that sin is conceived in our emotions. If that is true, then the Word must also give us a way to harness our emotions. Andrew’s teaching will present you with a new perspective on emotions.
Anger Management (original article by By Andrew Wommack)Have you ever been mad at God? Certainly, everyone has had anger rise up against a person. And there are a lot of people who are angry with themselves. Anger is a problem all of us have to deal with.
Many people come from backgrounds where strife was just normal. Our culture is so full of envy and strife that it’s become part of life. We don’t realize how deadly it is. But realize it or not, strife will kill you. Listen to what James had to say about envy and strife:
“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” (James 3:16)
Think about what this verse is saying for a moment. Envy and strife bring EVERY evil work. That is quite a revelation! You could be giving tithes and offerings and trusting God in the area of your finances, but if you’re living in strife, you are opening the door to poverty. You could be trying to take care of your body and meditating on healing scriptures, yet envy and strife will negate all of that and bring sickness and disease. No one who is trusting God for victory in any area of their life can ignore dealing with anger and expect to succeed. It’s that important.
This doesn’t mean we are supposed to be emotionless or totally passive people. There is a proper use of anger. If we don’t understand this and try to completely do away with anger, we will not succeed, and we will become passive in a way that allows Satan to run over us. There is a godly purpose for anger.
Think of this: Every person on the planet has a temper. Why do you think that is? Do you think the devil created anger? No way! Satan never created anything. He doesn’t have the power to create. All he does is pervert the godly things God created.
It’s God who gave us the capacity to get angry. Anger has a godly function. But with most of us, it’s been perverted. We don’t need to get delivered of a temper; we need to learn how to manage that anger and direct it the way God intended — not toward people, but toward the devil and evil.
There is a well-known passage of Scripture that talks about a positive use of anger. Yet this passage is most often interpreted in a way that loses the true intent of what Paul was saying. Ephesians 4:26-27 says,
“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil”.
This is usually interpreted as, “God knows you are only human, and you will sometimes get angry. That just happens. But it doesn’t become sin unless you let it persist. So make sure you confess and forsake your anger every night before you go to bed.”
There is no doubt that getting over anger quickly has great benefit. Confessing and forsaking anger before you go to bed every night is a good thing to do. But that is not what this verse is teaching. It’s nearly the opposite.
Paul is saying there is a godly anger that is not sin. God gives us a command to get angry with a righteous anger. Then he says, “Let not the sun go down on your wrath”. What happens when the sun goes down? Typically we stop working. The day winds down, and we rest and go to sleep. Paul is saying, “Don’t let this godly anger ever stop working. Keep it awake. Stir it up and keep it active!” Then verse 27 continues, “Neither give place to the devil”. If we don’t keep a godly anger active within us, we are giving place to the devil. What a revelation!
There is a righteous use of anger. Not understanding this has rendered many Christians so passive, they don’t get mad at the evil in this world. Therefore, Satan is having a free shot at everything we hold dear and holy. Our society is under attack, and our righteous anger that God has given us as a weapon is kept in its sheath and not used. This needs to change.
Look at what the Word of God has to say about a right use of anger:
“Ye that love the LORD, hate evil”. (Psalm 97:10)
“The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate”. (Prov. 8:13)
“The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom”. (Psalm 111:10)
“The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge”. (Prov. 1:7)
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good”. (Rom. 12:9)
These are just a few of the scriptures that speak of a righteous use of hate and anger. Look again at Proverbs 8:13: “Pride and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward [literally, perverse] mouth, do I hate”. Do we really hate those things? We should, but Christians as a whole do not hate evil. We don’t like evil, but few would argue that we literally hate these things. Some Christians don’t believe that we are supposed to hate anything, but that’s not what God’s Word says.
Jesus was sinless, but He had hate and anger. In John 2:14-17, which took place at the beginning of Jesus’ earthly ministry, and then in Mark 11:15-17, which took place the last week of Jesus’ earthly ministry, Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple. He didn’t approach them meekly and say, “Guys, I’m sorry. I don’t want to hurt any of you, but I have to do this to obey my Father.” NO! He made a whip and beat the people and animals and turned over their tables. He was mad.
Where were the temple guards? I’m sure they were there, but Jesus was in a holy rage that paralyzed them from action. It’s certain that Jesus never sinned, but it’s also certain that He got very angry to the point of action. Therefore, there is a righteous anger. We need to discover the righteous use of anger and channel all of our aggression in the proper way. So, there is a right place for anger. But what about the wrong use of anger? All of us have to deal with getting mad at people. How do we overcome our unforgiveness and anger toward people?
Have you ever prayed that the Lord would remove someone from your life who makes you angry? Have you ever prayed that your circumstances would change so that you would be delivered from those things that make you mad? If you have, you are not alone. But it’s not what others do to you that makes you angry. You will never be able to remove all aggravating things and people from your path. That’s unrealistic. Satan has more than enough people under his control to keep an endless parade of annoying people coming across your path.
You can’t always change circumstances, and you don’t have the authority to change others. But you can change what’s on the inside of you that makes you angry. That’s right. Our anger comes from the inside, not the outside. I know most people don’t like that. At first, it’s comforting to think that it’s what someone else did that made you angry, but that’s not true. If what other people do makes you angry, then you will always be angry because there will always be someone that treats you wrong. That makes you a victim and not a victor.
Accepting responsibility for your ungodly anger puts you in the driver’s seat. You only have total authority over yourself. You are the only one that you can really change. If you are trying to remove all the people and things that make you mad from your path, you will never win. But if you deal with the things inside you that cause your anger, you will never lose, regardless of what others do. That’s the example that Jesus gave us. He was able to look at the very ones who crucified and mocked Him and say,
“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do”. (Luke 23:34)
Jesus not only suffered more than any of us ever have, He suffered more unjustly than we have. As God, He could have come off the cross at any time and wiped all of His accusers out. Yet He humbled Himself and even forgave His enemies. Some people think, “Well that was Jesus. I’m certainly not Jesus.” But Jesus wasn’t the only one who forgave those who wronged him. Stephen acted just like Jesus in Acts 7:60. As he was being stoned to death, he knelt down and cried with a loud voice,
“Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep”.
Paul commanded us to do the same thing in Ephesians 4:32:
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”.
Not only are we supposed to resist anger, but we are commanded to forgive those who trespass against us. We can’t control others, but we can control what’s inside of us that makes us angry. The key is found in Proverbs 13:10:
“Only by pride cometh contention”.
It’s not what others do to us that makes us angry; it’s the pride inside of us that causes us to get mad. I know that’s not what most people believe, but that’s what God’s Word says. This verse doesn’t say that pride is one of the major reasons for anger — it’s the only reason. What a statement!
I ministered this in Pueblo, Colorado, many years ago, and a man came up to me after the meeting and said, “I’ve got a lot of problems, but pride isn’t one of them. If anything, I have such low self-esteem that I hate myself. Yet I have a lot of anger. I just don’t understand how my pride is the source of my anger.” What this man was missing was a proper definition of pride.
Many people think of pride only as arrogance. But that’s only one manifestation of pride. Timidity and shyness are extreme manifestations of pride. Pride, at it’s core, is simply self-centeredness or selfishness.Timid and shy people are extremely self-centered people. I know this to be true because I was an introvert. I couldn’t look at people in the face and talk to them. I was so consumed with me that I was always thinking, “What are they going to think of me? Am I going to make a mistake and look foolish?” That self-centeredness made me shy.
If you have a testimony about what the Lord has done for you that could help someone, yet you would be timid about getting on radio or television and sharing it because everyone would be looking at you, then you have some pride issues that haven’t been settled. You may not be called to broadcast on radio or television the way I am, but we are all called to, “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.” (1 Pet. 3:15)
So, pride is not only thinking we are better than others; pride can be thinking we are worse than others or just being self-conscious. It doesn’t matter if self is always exalting itself or if it’s debasing itself. It’s all self-centeredness, which is pride. Like it or not, understand it or not, pride is the source of all of our anger. As we deal with our own self-love, anger toward others will be defused. The only reason we are so easily offended is because we love ourselves so much. As we die to ourselves, we will be able to love others the way that Jesus did.
I have a lot more to share on this than what I was able to put into this article. I have a teaching entitled Anger Management. This is a three-part album that deals with truths I’ve never heard anyone else teach. I’m sure others teach this, but it’s certainly not common. The first teaching, entitled “Godly Anger,” will show you the proper use of anger. This is necessary in resisting Satan and his evil. The second teaching, entitled “Ungodly Anger’s Source,” will explain how self-love is the root of all of our ungodly anger. This is a must for anyone who struggles with a temper (all of us). The third teaching is entitled “Anger Toward God, Others, and Self.”
Harnessing Your Emotions (original article by By Andrew Wommack)
The Bible teaches us that our thoughts are the determining factor which controls our actions. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Romans 8:6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Notice that carnal mindedness doesn’t just tend toward death — it is death!
No one can consistently perform differently than the way they think; therefore, we cannot change our actions without changing our thinking. It’s not just what we think about that needs changing, but we must change our thinking process. Our emotions are linked directly to how we think.
All people have a perception, or image, on the inside of them of what they are like. This image is not necessarily based on facts but on feelings. One negative experience can distort a person’s perception of themself for a lifetime.
For instance, some people who are beautiful may think of themselves as ugly or undesirable because of unkind words spoken to them as a child. Some who achieve great success still see themselves as failures, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
To a degree, psychology has correctly diagnosed this problem. Psychologists use terminology such as “self-esteem” or “identity” in relating these truths; however, today’s secular wisdom is totally inadequate to help a person change the inner self image.
First, most people shift the blame for bad self-esteem, or self-image, to someone else. It has become popular to blame others for every negative thing in our lives. People often say, “I came from a dysfunctional family,” “My problems came because I’m part of a minority group,” “It’s that woman you gave me” (Gen. 3:12). Other people are not our problem!
All of us have had negative experiences. The choice is ours whether we become bitter or better as a result of them. For every person who can claim some dysfunctional behavior because of a traumatic experience in their life, there are others who have had similar or worse things happen to them, yet they overcame their circumstances. Why? Because problems do not dictate failure; we have a choice.
Deuteronomy 30:19 says, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” God Almighty gave us a choice. God doesn’t make the choice for us, and Satan can’t make it for us. We have the privilege and responsibility to choose blessing or cursing.
Placing the blame on others is denying the real problem, and it will prevent finding a solution. If other people are my problem, I’m in trouble because God did not give me the ability to control other people. The devil will always send someone across my path who knows how to hit my hot button.
If the problem is within me, then there is hope because through Christ, I can change. This is freedom. Regardless of what others do, I can prosper through Christ.
After psychology tries to place the blame for your problems on someone else, they try to bolster your self-esteem by having you focus on the positive things in your self and minimize the negative attributes. That’s not what the Bible teaches. Jesus said, “For without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).
“Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Mark 8:34). Paul said, “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are” (1 Cor. 1:27-28).
The Bible teaches that there must be an end to self-esteem before true service can begin. Christians should not try and store up the feeble positive attributes of their personalities. That is like trying to stop the bleeding from an amputated arm with a Band-Aid; it won’t work for long.
Regardless of how successful or talented we are in ourselves, we will eventually fail. If nothing else, we will get older someday and will not be as productive as before. If our self-esteem is rooted in our accomplishments, then it will ultimately fail. All the security we have found in ourselves will then come crashing down around us.
The Christian should have Christ-esteem. Just like the Apostle Paul said, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” (Gal. 2:20).
The secret to victorious Christian living is not found in self-improvement but in self-denial so that Christ can live through us.
This does not mean that God wants us to have a bad self-image. It just depends upon which self we are talking about. You see, every born-again believer has become a new person in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17). (Eph. 4:22-24).
The old man is corrupt and, at his best, is incapable of living the Christian life. This is the self that most people try to patch up and feel good about. Give it up! We have to die to this old self life with all its good and bad, and find a new identity in Christ.
The new man is exactly as Jesus is (1 Cor. 6:17)! That’s right. We are a totally brand-new person in Christ. We have everything that Jesus has, in our spirits (1 John 4:17). We have a totally new identity in Christ. Why then would we want to fix up our old selves instead of just living in our new selves?
If we let the new man dominate us, we’ll walk in power and victory in every area of our lives.
How can you tell if your thoughts and emotions are coming from the new, born-again self or the old carnal self? God’s Word is the key. Jesus says in John 6:63, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Any thought or emotion that agrees with what God’s Word says about you is from your new man. Any thought or emotion that violates God’s Word is from your old man or the devil.
If you are angry at someone, you’re in the flesh (old man). Just repent and get back in the spirit (new man) where you have love, joy, and peace (Gal. 5:22). If you are afraid, you’re in the flesh, “for God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Tim. 1:7). Instead of going to God and asking Him to remove the fear, just step out of the flesh and into the spirit where there is no fear (1 John 4:18).
This is so simple you have to have someone help you misunderstand it. The problem is that we have had a lot of help misunderstanding these simple, biblical truths, but we have a solution.
watch here:
harnessing emotionsSummary:
Sin is Emotional
This teaching reveals that positive emotions are not optional. God commands us to take control of our emotions. In fact, sin is conceived in our emotions. A person who doesn’t master their emotions is a person who cannot overcome sin.
Emotions are a result of how we think. A person who has low self-esteem is going to be depressed. But how does this square with the statements of God’s Word about denying ourselves and becoming nothing in our own sight before God can use us? The answer lies in Christ-esteem, not self-esteem. Our born-again self is the only part of us that we need to esteem. Anything less is destined to fail.
Identity in Christ
We need to analyze and then identify with the new self that we have become in Christ. This teaching will give you a look at who you are in Christ that very few Christians have seen. This is life-changing and one of the major keys to a victorious life in Christ.
 Every person deals with anger. There is no escaping it. But are we dealing with our anger the way God’s Word instructs us to? There is a type of anger that is godly, but even the more common, ungodly anger is very misunderstood. It’s not people and circumstances that make us angry. In this teaching, Andrew shares truths from God’s Word on the subject of anger that are as rare as gold. An ungodly anger is the social norm today. born_again-howNotes on 6/16/15: Further to what I have written below, I am reminded this morning that in God’s perfect love there is no fear (1 John). I am also reminded that there are really many things I do not know about God and His healing way. I have recently been led to assure an elderly missionary who has served God faithfully for nearly 20 years in the mission field, and had to take medication to stop the severe incapacitating symptoms that had caused immense suffering to himself and his loved ones, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1 NKJV) I am reminded of 1 John 4 about the love the followers of Jesus must have for one another. I am also reminded of the important teaching of love through Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:1-10.
Indeed, no one has the perfect ten in knowing how divine healing works. Apostle Paul himself admitted this fact: “8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” (1Corinthians 13:8-10)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~originally posted on 6/6/15:

A common thought that dominates the human mind is the fear of being sick, ranging from the fear of inconveniences and discomfort to life threatening suffering and losses in many aspects of lives.

Mankind has developed many ways of coping and treating illness. Expensive and sophisticated equipments had been manufactured for the healthcare industry. However, many people continue to fear the uncertainty of diseases and the death caused by painful diseases. Churches have increasingly prayed for the healing of diseases. The Bible recorded divine healing by Jesus, Paul, Peter and others, including prophets like Elijah and Elisha. Some Christians believe that God heals people through the power of the Holy Spirit, often involving the laying of hands. Famous earlier Christians of faith in the 20th Century like John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, William Branham, Oral Roberts, Kathryn Kuhlman, Kenneth Hagin and many others practiced divine healing by faith through the power of the Holy Spirit, on the basis of the words of God.

This blogger has witnessed dramatically healed testimonies as well as incidents of failures to get healed. Why did some receive total divine wellness and live a long and fulfilled life while others seemed to have failed to appropriate the divine healing promised in the Bible? There seems no answer to this blogger’s question.

The spiritual God’s way is not for a mortal physical man to fully comprehend in the mind. Divine healing is spiritual. There is no physical medicine to be taken at regular intervals. There is no physical equipment to be used to cut and remove unwanted physical lumps. The only guide to each Christian is the words of God, the Bible. Can everyone be a faith healer? Again I have no answer. I can only read the words of God and believe as I am led by the Holy Spirit, after personally knowing God, that He is real and He has announced Himself as the Lord who heals. In my previous healed testimony I have already testified how I have believed in God’s words by faith and how God has healed me. I admit that I did try to rationalize things with my mind. But I have soon realized how limited my human mind is. When I decided to choose the spiritual way to understand God, I started to experience breakthrough in divine healing.

Jesus has spoken clearly that God is Spirit and He looks for those who worship (including relate to) Him in spirit and in truth. I take the word ‘truth’ means the words of God. The Holy Spirit and the words of God work hand in hand. Jesus Himself is the way, the truth and the life. The Holy Spirit gives life to our mortal body. I believe fully in the following key verses on what it means to be born again. It does make a crucial difference in my receiving divine healing.

John 3:3,5 King James Version (KJV)

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

1 Peter 1:22a-23 King James Version (KJV)

22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit …

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

How to find Joy?

2015-02-21 12.20.14

The joy of the Lord is our strength. When we look for healing we look for joy. We read from Proverbs 8 and find how one finds joy. Who is Joy? Jesus is joyous. Why? Because He always stays in the presence of God (the Father). Let us too, stay in God’s presence, give thanks, praise God, seek and find Him, receive His favor. Rejoice in God. God rejoices in His people! God’s presence brings joy. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit!

Jesus says: 17 “I love all who love me.
    Those who search will surely find me.

30     I was the architect at his side.
I was his constant delight,
    rejoicing always in his presence.
31 And how happy I was with the world he created;
    how I rejoiced with the human family!

32 “And so, my children,[b] listen to me,
    for all who follow my ways are joyful.
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise.
    Don’t ignore it.
34 Joyful are those who listen to me,
    watching for me daily at my gates,
    waiting for me outside my home!
35 For whoever finds me finds life
    and receives favor from the Lord.
36 But those who miss me injure themselves.
    All who hate me love death.”

  1. 8:16 Some Hebrew manuscripts and Greek version read and nobles are judges over the earth.
  2. 8:32 Hebrew my sons.

We read Psalm 106 to find joy:

Praise the Lord!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord?
    Who can ever praise him enough?
There is joy for those who deal justly with others
    and always do what is right.

Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people;
    come near and rescue me.
Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones.
    Let me rejoice in the joy of your people;
    let me praise you with those who are your heritage.

all the sick are healed

Jesus has shown how a shepherd can do and should do. In His life on earth He has shown us what God (the Father in heaven) is like and what are on the heart of God. Jesus’ ministry is a healing ministry. His healing brings wholeness. He came to give this wholeness, abundant life. (John 10:10) Jesus expects His believers to do the same as He did and even greater because He has given us His Holy Spirit. (John 14:12-14)
Here are verses from Matthew recording that Jesus healed al the sick brought to Him. He never rejected anyone.
News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all.
That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick.
[ Jesus, God’s Chosen Servant ] But Jesus knew what they were planning. So he left that area, and many people followed him. He healed all the sick among them,
Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed.
They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

Large crowds followed him there, and he healed their sick.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~a word of warning:
In the following message prophet Ezekiel received from the Holy Spirit, God took note of and reprimanded the spiritual shepherds (the religious leaders then) who did not heal their sheep!
Shepherds (religious leaders, equivalent to the pastors today) are required and expected to heal the sick sheep (congregation, church members). It means they can do it but they do not want to do the healing.
God is still watching and taking note of this attitude of the heart. God is not talking about doctors. God is talking about pastors or ministers or whatever their religious titles may be, whether they qualify. Healing the sick is on their job specification.
Ezekiel 34:3-5 New King James Version (NKJV)
You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.
Introducing Healing Rooms round the world: Hong Kong
I am led to post some information for travelers round the world, of healing rooms that believe divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).
Here is one from Hong Kong, under the umbrella of the ICA (International Christian Assembly, Hong Kong) The following is quoted from their website.
Healing Rooms
The Healing Rooms is a ministry that pursues the Holy Spirit and His healing power. It is a place where passionate, spirit-filled and joyful believers gather to release life, love and wholeness to those who are suffering from physical ailments.
We believe it is God’s will for the sick to be healed and that the Power of Jesus Christ is available to all who ask.
We minister to believers and non-believers. We speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. All are welcome and there is no cost.
a testimony on cancer healed.
Victory over stage four prostate cancer
Marlon was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer in September 2012. The cancer in the prostate was so large and extensive that it was obstructing the bladder causing urinary retention. It had also spread outside of the prostate gland to four surrounding lymph nodes and to one of the seminal vesicles. His cancer marker level, the PSA index was absurdly high at that time, which was 250, and the normal is 0 to 4. Two reputable urologists were very sure that the cancer had already spread to the bones.
Marlon and his wife started coming regularly to the Healing Rooms for prayers. During those visits, God’s presence fell so heavily on him that he could vividly feel God working in his body in some miraculous ways. When the Healing Rooms team released the fire of the Holy Spirit to eradicate cancer cells in his body, Marlon felt his lymph nodes were popping like fireworks, a very strange sensation within his body.
Two months later, PSA index had dropped from 250 to 9.3. They also did a MRI scan and found that his prostate had shrunk back by 60-70%, returning to its normal size and was no longer obstructing his bladder. His bones were cancer-free as well. This changed his “medical status” from stage four cancer to stage one cancer.
Further tests on Jan 9, 2013 showed PSA at 8.2; on Jan 28, it had further dropped to 6.9, and on Mar 6, to 4.3. Marlon took the advice of his oncologist and went for 38 sessions of radiotherapy treatment and subsequent MRI in April 2013 showed that there were no signs of cancer.
When Marlon visited the Healing Rooms on April 20, 2013, the Lord told him: “You are clean!” Indeed, MRI scan showed that his prostate gland was clear of cancer. PSA index in May, 2013 had dropped to 2.19. By the end of December 2013 his PSA result was 1.21!! (Normal is 0-4) His family doctor, oncologist and radiotherapist all agreed that his healing progress is exceptional and a miracle from God.
We just got good news from Marlon in the beginning of this year that his latest PSA had gone down to 0.9!! God has healed a stage four cancer! All praises and glory go to our Almighty God!
(Marlon is now serving at the Healing Rooms!)
