The heart matters in healing

heart condition mattersSickness has been a major concern in the history of mankind. Here is a common scene in Biblical time. Lots of people bring their sick relatives and friends for healing by Jesus. Even today many seek healing everywhere. Jesus says sickness actually comes from within a person. Today we continue on this topic by reading at random the example of David, how he became sick when he allowed himself to be controlled by his emotion: anger (against self and against God) and fear (fear of failure; fear of further tragedies; fear of being punished for wrong doings), self-condemnation (self-doubt, low self-esteem), distrust of God (unbelief of God’s goodness), indulgences in sexual and worldly desires and lusts (of the flesh, eyes and pride of life).

Read the whole history of David and you will find more examples of what was inside him that defiled him. Do not think that David’s complaints about his sickness is spiritual. David was a man of flesh even though he sought after God. One thing we can learn from him is he did not give up . He repented, turned back to God and got well again. But he really suffered in body and in soul. He also gave his honest accounts of the causes of his illness and how he finally resorted to spiritual remedies.

1Chronicles 13:11 David was angry (with God) because the Lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah (the priest who was killed when he violated God’s holy law). David was probably also angry with himself as he did not follow God’s law too when he ordered the moving of the Ark. 13:12 David was now afraid of God, and he asked, “How can I ever bring the Ark back into my care?” He indulged in self-doubt and self-condemnation after the tragedy of the death of a priest in the course of his duty of obeying David’ command to bring the Ark on a bullock cart! David consulted before he decided how to move the Ark. But he consulted the wrong persons. He consulted his officials, including the generals and captains. (13:1) He did not consult the priests. He mixed up flesh with spiritual matters. 14:3 Then David married more wives in Jerusalem. He decided to put aside God’s matters and pursued his own personal enjoyment. This episode is an example of how David lived his life as a carnal king.

The above recorded a historical event in David’s life.

Let us now read some psalms at random and in parts and see what kind of sickness David had suffered in his lifetime, physical and mental (mind and emotion):

Psalm 22:6 But I am a worm and not a man. 22:14 My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within me. 15 My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust and left me or dead. Psalm 30:6 When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!” 7 Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain. Then You turned away from me, and I was shattered. Psalm 31:9 My body and soul are withering away. 10 Sin has drained my strength. 13 I have heard the many rumors about me, and I am surrounded by terror. Psalm 32:3 When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Psalm 38:3 Because of Your anger, my whole body is sick; (David first blamed it on God) my health is broken because of my sins. (David soon admitted that his own sins caused the sickness and not God) 4 My guilt overwhelms me-it is a burden too heavy to bear. 5 My wounds fester and stink because of my foolish sins. 6 I am bent over and racked with pain. All day long I walk around filled with grief. 7 A raging fever burns within me , and my health is broken. 8 I am exhausted and completely crushed. My groans come from my anguished heart. 10 My heart beats wildly, my strength fails, and I am going blind.

“Our Authority Releases God’s Power” : a timely teaching today

andrew03

I found this good and relevant article today as I ponder on why there are people who are not healed. Why do Christians feel helpless when encountering sickness in their own family? What has God provided for us who believe? I was led to look at the resources which I have trusted for over ten years, online and here is the exact message I need! I have received feedback that many have been blessed by the resources and teachings from the Bible-based healing web-sites posted here. I pray this one and the related audio/video teachings will help you too.

“Our Authority Releases God’s Power”

by Andrew Wommack
There are a number of keys to seeing the miraculous power of God manifest on a consistent basis. One of the least understood, and therefore seldom practiced, is the fact that healing is under the authority of the believer. God has already provided His healing power and placed it on the inside of every born-again believer. It is up to us to release it. Understanding and using our authority is the key to seeing miracles happen.

Look at how Peter and John ministered healing to the lame man in Acts 3:1-8:

“Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”

Notice that Peter didn’t pray for this man. He also didn’t ask God to heal him. He said, “Such as I have give I thee.” This didn’t mean that Peter was the source of this healing. Notice what Peter said in Acts 3:12,

“And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?”

It was God’s power that healed this man, but that power was under Peter’s authority. Peter went on to say in verse 16 that it was faith in the name of Jesus that had wrought this miracle. But Peter didn’t ask God to heal this man. He believed the Lord had already done His part and had placed that power within him. Now it was Peter’s responsibility to release that power, and that’s just what he did.

The Lord never told us to pray for the sick in the sense that we ask Him to heal them. He told us to heal the sick. There is a BIG difference between the two. It has to do with operating in the authority He has already given us. Look at these commands the Lord gave His disciples.

“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.”(Luke 9:1-2)

“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” (Matt. 10:1)

“And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:7-8)

Jesus told us to heal the sick not pray for the sick. What a radical statement! This will get you kicked out of most churches today, but these are the exact words of our Lord Jesus Christ. And this is precisely why more people don’t see the miraculous results they’re praying for. They aren’t taking their authority and commanding God’s power; they’re passively asking God to do what He told them to do.

I know this goes contrary to popular Christian doctrine. We’re constantly told that it’s not us but God who is the Healer, and I agree with that totally. But, I also believe that God has placed His healing power under our authority, and it is up to us to release it. If we don’t take our authority and become commanders instead of beggars, God’s power will not be released. There needs to be a radical renewing of our thinking on this issue.

A good friend of mine, Dave Duell, held a meeting in Africa many years ago. It was one of his first times he saw miracles such as the blind and deaf healed. The people were so excited that they were mobbing him as he walked through the streets, trying to touch him so they could be healed. His first thought was influenced by this religious thinking I’m trying to change. He thought, They shouldn’t be looking to me. I’m not the healer; it is Jesus. He was about to stop them when the Lord spoke to him. The Lord said, “Dave, do you remember when I rode that donkey into Jerusalem, and all the people put their garments and palm branches in the way and cried, ‘Hosanna’? What would you have thought if the donkey had spoken up and said, ‘It’s not me! It’s not me’? That would only have revealed the donkey’s arrogance. No one was praising the donkey; they were praising the One that was riding the donkey.”

When Dave recognized the people weren’t trying to touch him but the One he was carrying, he let them touch him all they wanted and people were healed. This is exactly what happened with the first-century disciples. Peter had people line the streets so that if only his shadow would touch them, they would be healed (Acts. 5:15).

Look at an amazing passage of Scripture in Isaiah 45:11.

“Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”

What a powerful scripture! What does the Lord mean when He tells us to command Him? Well, He certainly doesn’t mean we are mightier and more powerful than Him and can order Him around. He means, concerning the things He has already done, He wants us to take our authority and command His power.

It’s like electricity. The power company generates the power and delivers it to your house. It’s not your power, but it’s under your control. You don’t call the power company and ask them to turn the lights on. No! They won’t do that. They generate the power, but it’s under your command. You simply flip the switch on the wall and command the power to work. Does this mean you are the power source? Certainly not! You can put a light bulb in your mouth, and it will never come on. You aren’t the power source, but you are the one in control of what that power does. You can plead with the power company all you want, but they won’t flip the switch for you. You have to assume your authority and acknowledge the power is under your command.

That’s what the Lord was speaking of. He has already healed everyone who will ever be healed. He did it two thousand years ago when He bore our stripes on His back. Then He deposited His resurrection power inside every believer (Eph. 1:19-20). He’s done His part, and now it is up to us to do ours. We need to take the authority He has given us and become commanders instead of beggars. This is a powerful truth that works, and it’s the reason we see so many miraculous healings. We aren’t just praying for the sick; we are healing them in Jesus’ name.

I know this line of thinking raises as many questions as it does answers, so I’ve produced a teaching on The Believer’s Authority. I have some radical teachings in this album. For example, who do you think made Satan? Most people think that God made Satan, but that’s not so. God created Lucifer, a wonderful, powerful, godly angel, but it was mankind who made Satan. There is a difference between creating and making. This could revolutionize your whole approach toward the devil. Satan isn’t using some superhuman, angelic authority against us; he’s using the authority and power that was given to man by God. Therefore, Satan can’t do anything to us without our consent and cooperation. Hallelujah!

Healed testimony continued (revised 6/16/15)

born_again-howNotes on 6/16/15: Further to what I have written below, I am reminded this morning that in God’s perfect love there is no fear (1 John). I am also reminded that there are really many things I do not know about God and His healing way. I have recently been led to assure an elderly missionary who has served God faithfully for nearly 20 years in the mission field, and had to take medication to stop the severe incapacitating symptoms that had caused immense suffering to himself and his loved ones, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1 NKJV) I am reminded of 1 John 4 about the love the followers of Jesus must have for one another. I am also reminded of the important teaching of love through Paul in 1 Corinthians 13:1-10.

Indeed, no one has the perfect ten in knowing how divine healing works. Apostle Paul himself admitted this fact: “8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” (1Corinthians 13:8-10)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~originally posted on 6/6/15:
A common thought that dominates the human mind is the fear of being sick, ranging from the fear of inconveniences and discomfort to life threatening suffering and losses in many aspects of lives.
Mankind has developed many ways of coping and treating illness. Expensive and sophisticated equipments had been manufactured for the healthcare industry. However, many people continue to fear the uncertainty of diseases and the death caused by painful diseases. Churches have increasingly prayed for the healing of diseases. The Bible recorded divine healing by Jesus, Paul, Peter and others, including prophets like Elijah and Elisha. Some Christians believe that God heals people through the power of the Holy Spirit, often involving the laying of hands. Famous earlier Christians of faith in the 20th Century like John G. Lake, Smith Wigglesworth, William Branham, Oral Roberts, Kathryn Kuhlman, Kenneth Hagin and many others practiced divine healing by faith through the power of the Holy Spirit, on the basis of the words of God.
This blogger has witnessed dramatically healed testimonies as well as incidents of failures to get healed. Why did some receive total divine wellness and live a long and fulfilled life while others seemed to have failed to appropriate the divine healing promised in the Bible? There seems no answer to this blogger’s question.
The spiritual God’s way is not for a mortal physical man to fully comprehend in the mind. Divine healing is spiritual. There is no physical medicine to be taken at regular intervals. There is no physical equipment to be used to cut and remove unwanted physical lumps. The only guide to each Christian is the words of God, the Bible. Can everyone be a faith healer? Again I have no answer. I can only read the words of God and believe as I am led by the Holy Spirit, after personally knowing God, that He is real and He has announced Himself as the Lord who heals. In my previous healed testimony I have already testified how I have believed in God’s words by faith and how God has healed me. I admit that I did try to rationalize things with my mind. But I have soon realized how limited my human mind is. When I decided to choose the spiritual way to understand God, I started to experience breakthrough in divine healing.
Jesus has spoken clearly that God is Spirit and He looks for those who worship (including relate to) Him in spirit and in truth. I take the word ‘truth’ means the words of God. The Holy Spirit and the words of God work hand in hand. Jesus Himself is the way, the truth and the life. The Holy Spirit gives life to our mortal body. I believe fully in the following key verses on what it means to be born again. It does make a crucial difference in my receiving divine healing.
John 3:3,5 King James Version (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 1:22a-23 King James Version (KJV)
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit …
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
how to walk with Jesus physically
In this passion week, we read of how the disciples walk with Jesus in His last ministry on earth. Today we divert to read some excerpts from a missionary in his autobiography about his physical walking with Jesus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Natural and Supernatural (Continued) Walking
Walking was more of an asset than a hindrance. Walking is considered the best kind of body exercise, and my example by walking was a help in making right contact. I walked thousands of miles over tiresome mountain trails. Many and many a day I walked as much as twelve hours in one day, from before dawn till after dark, a distance of thirty-five miles. One time when suffering from indigestion I was enabled by the Lord to walk twenty miles a day for three days in succession without more food than I would normally have eaten in one meal. Even so, I did not become fully exhausted. Although in the early days of my work in Ka Do Land I worked my way along many a weary mile over many a trying trail, at the same time I got the help of the Lord in a special way whereby the supernatural supplemented the natural. After a long hard day’s walk, followed by a meeting at night, the next day I sometimes felt so tired and weak that I wondered how I could possibly make the stage ahead of me over another long, hard trail. It all looked like a big mountain ahead of me. Many a time, after starting the day in this weak condition, I would begin to feel refreshed. The farther I walked the easier it became and the fresher I felt. I have ended such days not feeling at all tired. I may have started the day feeling too tired to walk at all, and then after walking twenty miles ended that day feeling as refreshed as though I had not walked at all. God can work miracles when need be. In later years when my work had become systematic, walking became easier. In looking over some of my letters that my wife published in our paper I was surprised how often in my letters to her I found this sentence: “Today I walked twenty miles without fatigue.”
Page 377
In all, how many miles did I walk? I had no pedometer. However, I knew that when walking on level ground at an easy, normal gait my average was three miles an hour. When the distance in miles was unknown, my method of reckoning was to keep a record of how many hours I walked. Although in ascending mountains my average would sometimes be less than three miles an hour, nevertheless, the energy required would be greater than necessary for walking the same number of hours on level ground. By adding to known distances the distance reckoned by walking- hours the sum total of my walking itineraries to and from and in Ka Do Land amounted to nineteen thousand and two hundred miles. How far is nineteen thousand miles anyway? I assume that would be equivalent to a walk around the world at my latitude near the tropic. How far is it from New York to San Francisco/ How many times could I have walked across the United States before exhausting my nineteen thousand miles?

About This Testimony:
Missionary to Tibet, China, and Formosa:
Such a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit onto little poor Chinese Orphans, showing what is only possible when God’s anointing is at work. This book documents the visions and miracles that happened when revival broke out in their midst. The children saw angels, demons, heaven, hell, etc. They related their experiences to missionary H. A. Baker and his wife Josephine, who oversaw the orphanage where the children lived. The visions changed the children’s lives and behaviors. The children would lay or sit still for hours as if in a trance, and would reported their visions to the Bakers, who faithfully documented them.  Young children (new believers) who were untrained and ignorant of spiritual truths, spoke in the 1st person of Jesus with such boldness and eloquence, and as powerful as any old testament prophet, demonstrating the power of God on those who are surrendered to Him.

how to maintain your healing – continue to fulfill God’s will

How To Find, Follow And Fulfill God’s Will? this is the whole process for a healed person. Not merely healed physically or mentally, but continues to retain divine health in all aspects of life. Jesus has given every believer abundant life. It is a gift of God. Know what He said. This health blogger strongly recommends to ever reader of this blog. You will find what you have been seeking.

Here is an excerpt of a testimony of a man who has sought and found God’s will.

“I graduated from high school and began college still with no clear direction. I was a math major because that was my best subject. However, I was still seeking the Lord with all my heart for His perfect will for my life. In the middle of my first year of college, I came across Romans 12:1-2, which says,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

These verses changed my life. The last part of verse 2 promises that I would prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God if I would do as instructed. That’s what I wanted. I began a four-month study of what it meant to be a living sacrifice and to renew my mind. The results were more than I could have imagined.

Just four months after I got this promise from the Lord, God showed up. I had a life-altering encounter with the Lord on March 23, 1968, that I’ve never gotten over and never intend to get over. God did reveal His will to me. It didn’t come all at once, but it came. As Romans 12:2 says, you prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. It comes in stages, or steps.

Within sixty days, I was led to make radical decisions that set my life on a course that has brought me to where I am today. Everything God has done in my life over the last forty-five years began with me seeking Him to know His will for my life. This is the starting line.

You will not fulfill God’s will for your life accidentally….The good news is that the Lord wants you to know His will for your life more than you want to know it. It’s not hard to know. But it does take effort. You aren’t going to discover God’s will until you search with all your heart (Jer. 29:13). As long as you can live without knowing God’s will, you will. But when you want to know and follow and fulfill God’s will more than anything else, then you will.

Knowing God’s will is a starting place, but that’s not the end…Some people have some revelation of what the Lord wants them to do, but very few are depending on God to accomplish it. ..

Our race should be supernatural, not just natural. It’s Christ living in us (Col. 1:27). We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13). There is a way to finish strong (2 Tim. 4:7).

It would be a shame to come to the end of our lives and not have a sense of knowing we accomplished what the Lord created us to do, yet this happens every day. People are rushing toward eternity while letting this precious time we have here on earth slip through their fingers. This isn’t a dress rehearsal. This is the real deal. We have to make our lives count.

I pray the Lord reveals His will to you and how to accomplish it in a greater way than He ever has before. Together, as each of us does what He instructs us to do, we will make a big difference in this world.”  (http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/find_follow)

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

how to maintain your healing – continue to follow God’s will

How to know you are on the right track of life? Why do those already healed relapse in remission?

Here is my recommendation today. How to follow God’s will? A practical audio teaching series, which can be applied and carried out in all aspects of lives, including the healing you are looking for. http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1067

The contents cover: Following The Desires Of Your Heart;  Moses Missed God’s Timing; The Rod Of God; Follow The Peace; The Wisdom Of God In A Mystery.

Here is the link to the Bible commentary on verses used in the teaching: http://www.awmi.net/bible/col_03_15 (e.g. how to “Let the peace of God act as umpire in your heart.” )

quote from his article: “Finding God’s will for your life is essential, but it’s just the beginning. Once you start moving in God’s direction, you have a big target painted on your back. Satan will do everything he can to stop you. If you don’t bump into the devil, it’s because you both are headed in the same direction. You’re going to have all kinds of problems trying to follow God’s will. You can definitely learn from hard knocks. I certainly have. But I don’t recommend it. There is a better way. You can learn from somebody else’s hard knocks. This is exactly what the Scripture has to say:

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. [7] Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. [8] Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. [9] Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. [10] Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. [11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come”….(read the full article at: http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/follow_will )

Here is the book for those of us who like reading at the same time we listen ! I find this a great at way to remember truth and truth changes lives. “One of the most important lessons of all is that you can’t fulfill God’s will any way you want. His strength and timing, and your obedience and patience are just a few of the things it takes. This book explains all this and much more, including how Andrew found, has followed, and is fulfilling God’s will for his life. This will help you on your way to doing just the same!” http://www.awmi.net/store/usa/books/335

This health blogger’s call to you: there is a better way to what you have already been through. Please take heed. By faith take the words of God and live a better life.

God is the true Healer. The Bible has clearly stated that you have already been healed. Here are the verses: (boldness added)

Exodus 15:26 [Full Chapter] (KJV) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.exodus-15-vs-26

Isaiah 53  (KJV) (Jesus has taken all our diseases and pain on Himself)

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
John 10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that I Myself am the Door for the sheep.

All others who came [as such] before Me are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not listen to and obey them.

I am the Door; anyone who enters in through Me will be saved (will live). He will come in and he will go out [freely], and will find pasture.

10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

witness and take part in the power of the move of
God today !

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true;
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

Refrain

I love to tell the story, ’twill be my theme in glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His love.

I love to tell the story; more wonderful it seems
Than all the golden fancies of all our golden dreams.
I love to tell the story, it did so much for me;
And that is just the reason I tell it now to thee.

Refrain

I love to tell the story; ’tis pleasant to repeat
What seems, each time I tell it, more wonderfully sweet.
I love to tell the story, for some have never heard
The message of salvation from God’s own holy Word.

Refrain

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best
Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.
And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song,
’Twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long.

Jesus is the sweetest name I know !

  1. There have been names that I have loved to hear,
    But never has there been a name so dear
    To this heart of mine, as the name divine,
    The precious, precious name of Jesus.

    • Refrain:
      Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
      And He’s just the same as His lovely name,
      And that’s the reason why I love Him so;
      Oh, Jesus is the sweetest name I know.
  2. There is no name in earth or Heav’n above,
    That we should give such honor and such love
    As the blessed name, let us all acclaim,
    That wondrous, glorious name of Jesus.
  3. And someday I shall see Him face to face
    To thank and praise Him for His wondrous grace,
    Which He gave to me, when He made me free,
    The blessed Son of God called Jesus.

Lela B. Long, bef.1925

There is coming a day,
When no heart aches shall come,
No more clouds in the sky,
No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forever more,
On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

There’ll be no sorrow there,
No more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no pain,
No more parting over there;
And forever I will be,
With the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be,
When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face,
The One who saved me by His grace;
When He takes me by the hand,
And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be

the power of healing songs from heaven: they are your life

Armor of God: Sword of the Spirit. How and where is it? today we read from the Bible how to hold it and use it. The songs in the Bible are powerful armor to sustain the healed and saved children of God. Jesus declared clearly in John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Deuteronomy32-39-43Here is a classic example of Moses being commanded by God to compose a song and make sure the whole assembly of Israel hear it and heed the words therein. This is a prophetic message to them. God saw and knew what they were inclined to do in future. He took the bother to tell them before hand. He even made this message into a memorable song! (Read Deuteronomy 31-32; boldness added by this watchman)

Application: Christians can pray and read this song and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you your application today.

Deuteronomy 31: 18 And I will certainly hide my face in that day because of all their wickedness in turning to other gods.

19 “Now write down this song and teach it to the Israelites and have them sing it, so that it may be a witness for me against them. 20 When I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey…this song will testify against them, because it will not be forgotten by their descendants. I know what they are disposed to do, even before I bring them into the land I promised them on oath.” 22 So Moses wrote down this song that day and taught it to the Israelites…

30 And Moses recited the words of this song from beginning to end in the hearing of the whole assembly of Israel:

32:1 Listen, you heavens, and I will speak;
    hear, you earth, the words of my mouth. deut-32
Let my teaching fall like rain
    and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
    like abundant rain on tender plants.

I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
    Oh, praise the greatness of our God!
He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
    and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
    upright and just is he…

is he not your Father, your Creator,
    who made you and formed you?

Remember the days of old;
    consider the generations long past…

39 “See now that I myself am he!
    There is no god besides me.
I put to death and I bring to life,
    I have wounded and I will heal,
    and no one can deliver out of my hand...

44 Moses came with Joshua son of Nun and spoke all the words of this song in the hearing of the people. 45 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, 46 he said to them, “Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. 47 They are not just idle words for you—they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

A Christian woman’s testimony: healing with songs

KathrynScott“We have seen around 24 people healed from cancer in the last two years, some of whom were suffering from terminal conditions,” Kathryn said.

a fifty percent perspective

“I’ve had the privilege of leading worship for the past fifteen years or so.  I remember starting off as a very frightened, unsure twenty something – wondering why on earth I was even trying to lead other people in worship, when I felt like I had no clue what I was doing…

I want to share three things I’ve picked up along the way that have been life giving to me as I’ve learned to lead more effectively over these last years.  I pray they encourage you too.

The first and most foundational is that there is nothing more precious than presence of Jesus…

Right in the middle of a set, The Lord spoke very clearly to me and told me to release what I saw Him on (in other words, I sensed that Jesus was there to heal the sick in that moment, and had always assumed He would just…

the whole armor of the healed: Righteousness

The redeemed and healed Christians must put on the whole armor of God. The second piece of the armor is: breastplate of righteousness. One essential key to this piece of armor is that it does not originate from us. it comes from God and God alone. We merely believe and receive by faith, through Christ Jesus! Our in Christ position gives us this assurance. The redeemed Christians wearing the breastplate of righteousness, should change their course of life. which past was under the bondage and slavery of sin. Present: they were freed from that bondage, and become the servants of righteousness.

We read some verses from the scriptures to understand how to put to it on at all times. (Boldness and notes in italics in brackets are added by this blogger)

What Jesus said of righteousness?

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Romans 3:22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.

(Jesus’ blood has atoned for our sin and given the righteousness of God to all and on all who have faith in Christ Jesus and believe that Jesus sacrificed His life and shed His blood.)

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, ..21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

(God has initiated and reconciled us to Him in Christ and in Him we become the righteousness of God)

Romans 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

(Righteousness is a spiritual position. It is made physically real by the power of the Holy Spirit. Having the breast plate of righteousness means we have overcome the power of sin and its consequences in Christ)

Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

(Breastplate of righteousness and shield of faith work together. By faith in Jesus we are made righteous. )

(Breastplate of Righteousness is worked through shield of faith which together achieve great supernatural outcome! ) Hebrews: 11:7  By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(We receive righteousness by putting faith in action: believe with our heart -spirit and soul- and confess our belief by our mouth! )

Roman 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

(Putting on Righteousness means living our lives in the kingdom of God. It is a Holy Spirit-filled lifestyle, being led by the Spirit and not by flesh, being mindful of the things of God and not of men. Only a transformed new creation with a renewed mind can live this powerfully secured way). (ref: Matthew 16:23; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

armor truth and righteousness

the whole armor for the healed: truth

Putting on the whole armor of God is a key command that enables believing healed Christians to stand firm against further relapses of bodily, mental and mood symptoms. Jesus’ truth sets believers free from the bondage of sins and diseases. Jesus has paid the price: His blood and His body. (1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:4-5)

Today we read some Bible verses on the first piece of the armor: the belt of truth. (a brief note from this watchman giving an unlocking key for each verse is given in italics in brackets after each verse).

John 8:32 [Full Chapter] And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (the key: know the truth. The enemy is a liar and uses lies to rob us of our health and life)
John 1:14 [ The Word Becomes Flesh ] And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.(Jesus is the key: He is the truth.)

John 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (key: do the truth. Truth involves faith in action. Truth means light, the opposite of darkness.)

John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (Key: God wants worship. He only requires two worship ingredients. Spirit and truth. )
John 5:33 You have sent to John, and he has borne witness to the truth. (Key: witnessing Jesus means witnessing truth. Belt of truth works with the readiness to share the gospel of peace.)
John 8:31 [ The Truth Shall Make You Free ] Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. John 8:32
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (Key: Knowing and keeping Jesus’ word means freedom from the bondage of sin and  the power of death. Belt of truth works with the breastplate of righteousness. )
John 14:1 [ The Way, the Truth, and the Life ] “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (Key: Truth is the only way to God and His life. There is no truth but Jesus and all that He is: His life, His word, His divine nature. Belief in Jesus means belief in all that He says He is. All that the Bible says God is. )
John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. John 15:26 [ The Coming Rejection ] “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (Key: Truth works together with the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can guide us into all truth. Belt of truth requires the working of the Holy Spirit in us to be effective. )
John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. (Key: Only God’s word is truth and truth sanctifies those who believe in Jesus. The belt of truth works with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. )
John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” (Key: Truth requires the working of faith. Without mixing the hearing of the truth with faith, unbelievers receive no benefit. The belt of truth becomes life to us only when we hold up the shield of faith.)
John 19:35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. (Key: we can only witness what we believe to be the truth. Only when we have truth in us, we can share and bless others similarly.)

Healing is for everyone who believes

There is no way for you to lose. Faith in Jesus makes you a winner. More than conquerors in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 27:1-3

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

Healing Explosion     July 18,  2014 Whole Life Ministries

Quoted “At the Healing Explosions, Dr. Kennedy simply teaches what God says in His Word about healing. As the Word goes forth, you can see the faith level begin to rise. Suddenly people begin to shout out “I’ve got it!” and amazing healings begin to take place. Hundreds of people have reported that they have been healed in these meetings. The #1 healing we see is cancer. However, we have seen blind eyes open, deaf ears hear, lame legs walk, leukemia, heart disease, strokes, and many other illness all healed just by the power of hearing and believing God’s Word.

Healing truth : come and take

A vacation camp pastor took out a dollar bill and raised his hand and said, “I will give it to the first kid who comes up here and takes it . ”

Many kids in front rushed to him but he continued to hold his hand up and repeated what he said.

One kid from the back of the auditorium got the message , ran to the front , climbed up and grabbed the dollar bill from his hand, and got it.

The pastor was illustrating the salvation concept. The same truth applies to healing. Jesus has done it. God has given it . How do you make it yours ? Believe and take it !

more sustained healing key: Words Change The Natural World

We continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Today we listen to the power of faith-filled words. Real effective teaching of the Word of God.

http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1075

If we want to start seeing the power of God manifest in our lives, we will have to start paying attention to what we say. Words have power—more than any of us realize, but we often speak them as though they are meaningless. Because of that, most believers at one time or another have been hung by their tongue.

Matthew 12:36-37 says, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

“Every idle word” simply means nonproductive. These are words that you speak but don’t believe….

Every time you say things that you don’t really mean, it begins to numb your heart. Unconsciously, each idle word is making it just a little bit harder to believe what you say will actually come to pass when you mean it and it really counts.

Jesus certainly understood the power of words, and He used them to change the natural things around him.

Mark 11:13-14 and 20-24 say,…. So, last year on my trip to Europe, I taught a new series called The Power of Faith-Filled Words. It’s a powerful series that will completely change your attitude about the words you speak. More importantly, if you will get it in your heart, you will learn that words can change your life now as well as your future. (Andrew Wommack)

Sure Foundation for healing…

sure foundationHere is a very important truth: we must build on the sure foundation of the Word of God when we want to sustain our healing. I have found this teaching very relevant and just the right ‘medicine’ today!

http://www.awmi.net/extra/audio/1034

This series is a summary of the first four teachings Andrew Wommack  gives in the U.S. Charis Bible College. They were taken directly from his Gospel Truth television broadcasts. God’s Word has to be the foundation of everything a Christian believes. Most problems that Christians have come from an ignorance of God’s Word or wrong teachings from His Word…
