Healed testimony: and all of them were healed

Wherever Jesus is, in the presence of the disciples and believers, where the Word of God is being faithfully and fearlessly preached, where faith in Jesus is, where the believers are walking by faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit in them, two things happen:

  1. People recognize Jesus. More and more believe and are converted to Jesus.
  2. They bring out their sick. And all of them are healed.

Mark 6:53-56 New International Version (NIV)

53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, Jesus heals manyand all who touched it were healed.

Acts 5:12-16 New International Version (NIV)

12 The apostles performed many signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13 No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16 Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and all of them were healed.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

Weekend recommendation: staying full of God

Staying Full Of God By Andrew Wommack (quoted in excerpts)

Do you ever feel like you and God have drifted apart and that the love and joy you once experienced with Him has faded? If you do, you’re not alone. Most Christians feel like the experiences they have with God diminish over time and that they need another touch. But that is not what the Bible teaches.

The Bible says God will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). If that is true—and it is—who moved? As born-again believers, we are all capable of living in the fullness of God every day of our lives. God is continually pouring out His love, joy, peace, revelation knowledge, and every other blessing. But we can get to a point where we’re not receiving and “feel” like He has drifted away.

Romans 1:21 says,

“When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”

This scripture contains four separate elements, or keys, that can lead us into and keep us operating in the fullness of God. Expressed positively, they are glorify God, be thankful, recognize the power of imagination, and have a good heart. We have the power to control each of these in our lives.

Glorify God

In many places throughout the Bible, the word magnify is the same word translated glorify. Therefore, magnify and glorify can be used interchangeably. And magnify means “to make bigger.”

Did you know that you can make God bigger? Technically speaking, God is who He is, regardless of what you think, but in terms of your perception, He can be big or small. You have the power to make Him one or the other in your life.

Most of us have become masters at enlarging the problem and minimizing God and His Word. I remember a lady who thought she was pregnant but found out she had cancer instead. The doctors said she needed a hysterectomy immediately. They said she only had a 50 percent chance of living, and she wouldn’t live more than two weeks without surgery.

She came to me, crying, “Andrew, have you heard what they said?” Now, I don’t always respond this way, but I believe God led me to say what I did. I started laughing and declared, “Cancer’s no problem with God. The lights in heaven won’t dim from the power drain if the Lord heals you! It’s not any harder to be healed of cancer than it is to be healed of a cold.”

I started magnifying and glorifying God. It’s now been almost twenty years. I made the Lord bigger and the cancer smaller. You can magnify the Lord and make Him and His Word bigger than any problem. ..

“All things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).

Paul listed un-thankfulness as one of the signs of the end times and put it in the same verse as covetousness, pride, blasphemy, and unholiness (2 Tim. 3:1-2). Not many would argue that we live in a society full of unthankful people, even in spite of the fact that we have more prosperity and opportunity than any people who have ever lived.

The second key to staying full of God is a thankful heart. Glorifying, magnifying, and thanking Him are all interrelated, but to glorify God, you must be thankful. As you are thanking Him, you’re reminding yourself of what He has said and done, which magnifies Him.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits”(Ps. 103:2)….

Imagination is much more important than most people realize. The Hebrew word that was translated “imagination” in the Old Testament literally means “conception.” Imagination is how new ideas are conceived. Without it, people become spiritually and creatively sterile.

A few years ago, I took a trip to Israel. I remember stopping in the valley of Elah. I got out of the bus and walked down to that little stream. I picked up five smooth stones just the way David once did. I began to imagine what it must have been like for David when he faced Goliath. The story came alive.

The Word of God comes alive when you can picture what it’s talking about. ..We need to use our imaginations to agree with God’s Word and see ourselves the way God sees us: happy, healthy, and prosperous.

A Good Heart

The Scripture makes it very clear that the attitude of your heart is far more important than your actions.

Jesus said it this way in Matthew 23:25-26,

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.”

The Lord is more concerned about your heart than He is your actions.

Matthew 12:35, Mark 7:21-23, and Proverbs 23:7 make it even clearer:..

Our hearts control what we say, and they also control what we do. All of the above are products of our hearts.

So, what do most people do when they realize their actions are being controlled by their hearts and are causing problems for themselves and others? They resort to behavior modification. ,,If people want their behavior to change, they must change their hearts. They must make sure that the Word of God is the dominant influence.

If you will put these four keys into practice in your life, you will never be the same. It will change the way you think about everyone and everything around you. It will give you a God perspective.

end times Sword of the Spirit: be perfect, just as God is perffect

sword-of-the-spirit1The Sword of the Spirit – the word of God, slashes through and divides between truth and lies, spirit (born of God) and soul (human mind and emotion, born of flesh). In the end days the Sword of the Spirit is the weapon that Jesus will use to defeat His enemies. We too must use this powerful weapon to snatch some from the fire, just as Jude had urged.

When do we wield this supernatural sword? When we see and hear false teachings being taught in the church. Wield your sword. use the words of God. (definition of wielding: If you wield a weapon, tool, or piece of equipment, you carry and use it.)

Today we slash and destroy the false teaching that Christians are human and cannot be expected to attain perfection. (The false implication is that we can safely sin just as if we do not have Jesus Christ – His Holy Spirit in us)

Prayer: Dear Abba Father, “In Jesus name I pray that now as we read these words of truth, let the sword of the Spirit manifest, let your Son manifest in each of us, and destroy the work of the devil. Let the mind of Christ  take over our mind, just as your word has said. Let the veil on our eyes melt and the Spirit of Christ sets us free.” Thank You Father. (1 John 3:8; Ephesians 6:17; 1 Corinthians 2:16; 2 Corinthians 3:16-18)

Proclaim this truth: Christians are the children of God. God is perfect and has made provision for His children to be perfect.

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

[ Noah Pleases God ] This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

I have seen the consummation of all perfection, But Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher.

I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

[ Pressing Toward the Goal ] Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.

how to maintain your healing – continue to fulfill God’s will

How To Find, Follow And Fulfill God’s Will? this is the whole process for a healed person. Not merely healed physically or mentally, but continues to retain divine health in all aspects of life. Jesus has given every believer abundant life. It is a gift of God. Know what He said. This health blogger strongly recommends to ever reader of this blog. You will find what you have been seeking.

Here is an excerpt of a testimony of a man who has sought and found God’s will.

“I graduated from high school and began college still with no clear direction. I was a math major because that was my best subject. However, I was still seeking the Lord with all my heart for His perfect will for my life. In the middle of my first year of college, I came across Romans 12:1-2, which says,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

These verses changed my life. The last part of verse 2 promises that I would prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God if I would do as instructed. That’s what I wanted. I began a four-month study of what it meant to be a living sacrifice and to renew my mind. The results were more than I could have imagined.

Just four months after I got this promise from the Lord, God showed up. I had a life-altering encounter with the Lord on March 23, 1968, that I’ve never gotten over and never intend to get over. God did reveal His will to me. It didn’t come all at once, but it came. As Romans 12:2 says, you prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. It comes in stages, or steps.

Within sixty days, I was led to make radical decisions that set my life on a course that has brought me to where I am today. Everything God has done in my life over the last forty-five years began with me seeking Him to know His will for my life. This is the starting line.

You will not fulfill God’s will for your life accidentally….The good news is that the Lord wants you to know His will for your life more than you want to know it. It’s not hard to know. But it does take effort. You aren’t going to discover God’s will until you search with all your heart (Jer. 29:13). As long as you can live without knowing God’s will, you will. But when you want to know and follow and fulfill God’s will more than anything else, then you will.

Knowing God’s will is a starting place, but that’s not the end…Some people have some revelation of what the Lord wants them to do, but very few are depending on God to accomplish it. ..

Our race should be supernatural, not just natural. It’s Christ living in us (Col. 1:27). We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phil. 4:13). There is a way to finish strong (2 Tim. 4:7).

It would be a shame to come to the end of our lives and not have a sense of knowing we accomplished what the Lord created us to do, yet this happens every day. People are rushing toward eternity while letting this precious time we have here on earth slip through their fingers. This isn’t a dress rehearsal. This is the real deal. We have to make our lives count.

I pray the Lord reveals His will to you and how to accomplish it in a greater way than He ever has before. Together, as each of us does what He instructs us to do, we will make a big difference in this world.”  (http://www.awmi.net/extra/article/find_follow)

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

23 I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it.

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 25 Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

reading Romans 5 in modern King James Version English

reading Romans 5 in modern King James Version English: (http://dailybibleonline.com/MkjVersion.aspx)

5:1  Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
5:2  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
5:3  And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
5:4  and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5:5  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
5:6  For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
5:7  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
5:8  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
5:9  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
5:10  For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
5:11  And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
5:12  Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
5:13  (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
5:14  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
5:15  But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
5:16  And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.
5:17  For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
5:18  Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.
5:19  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
5:20  Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,
5:21  so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Know and receive The Good News today: FREE GIFT. Why do those healed still  relapse from remission of diseases (physical, mental, emotional)? The solution: know God’s free gift. Free means free. The price is too high for anyone to pay. But it’s all paid for! Just mix this hearing of truth with faith. Is faith your effort? The good news is: faith is also a free gift from God!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Romans 5 King James Version (KJV)

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

King James Version (KJV)by Public Domain

This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach His Good News. God promised this Good News long ago through His prophets in the holy Scriptures. The Good News is about His Son. In His earthly life He was born into King David’s family line, and He was shown to be the Son of God when He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey Him, bringing glory to His name.

And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be His own holy people.

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

God’s Good News

Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in Him is being talked about all over the world. God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about His Son...

13 I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to visit you, …5 So I am eager to come to you in Rome, too, to preach the Good News.

16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

The redeemed and healed Christians must put on the whole armor of God. The second piece of the armor is: breastplate of righteousness. One essential key to this piece of armor is that it does not originate from us. it comes from God and God alone. We merely believe and receive by faith, through Christ Jesus! Our in Christ position gives us this assurance. The redeemed Christians wearing the breastplate of righteousness, should change their course of life. which past was under the bondage and slavery of sin. Present: they were freed from that bondage, and become the servants of righteousness.

We read some verses from the scriptures to understand how to put to it on at all times. (Boldness and notes in italics in brackets are added by this blogger)

What Jesus said of righteousness?

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Romans 3:22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.

(Jesus’ blood has atoned for our sin and given the righteousness of God to all and on all who have faith in Christ Jesus and believe that Jesus sacrificed His life and shed His blood.)

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, ..21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

(God has initiated and reconciled us to Him in Christ and in Him we become the righteousness of God)

Romans 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

(Righteousness is a spiritual position. It is made physically real by the power of the Holy Spirit. Having the breast plate of righteousness means we have overcome the power of sin and its consequences in Christ)

Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith;

(Breastplate of righteousness and shield of faith work together. By faith in Jesus we are made righteous. )

(Breastplate of Righteousness is worked through shield of faith which together achieve great supernatural outcome! ) Hebrews: 11:7  By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(We receive righteousness by putting faith in action: believe with our heart -spirit and soul- and confess our belief by our mouth! )

Roman 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

(Putting on Righteousness means living our lives in the kingdom of God. It is a Holy Spirit-filled lifestyle, being led by the Spirit and not by flesh, being mindful of the things of God and not of men. Only a transformed new creation with a renewed mind can live this powerfully secured way). (ref: Matthew 16:23; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Fast and pray life testimony

This post continues the previous one on why do I fast. I shall explain further on the principles with examples.

To minister in the Holy Spirit requires the minister to set apart in purity and holiness.

It means he or she does not spend time on any man issues. The apostles focused on prayer n teaching the words of God.

Sin is not necessarily our own. Others’ sin also crouches at the door waiting to gain a foothold into our chambers too.

For example, a brother or sister may keep complaining about the symptoms they are suffering and repeatedly demanding your ready ears and showering them with agreement just to show they are right and not lying.

But what really happens in the spiritual ? The devil gains a foothold into your inner chamber of peace that comes through being in Christ Jesus .

The disciples of Jesus encountered this problem when they were involved in argument with the religious authority, the relatives of the patient, and even the onlookers. The unbelief that came out of the pit of hell succeeded in obstructing the disciples healing the epileptic boy.

The sin of unbelief from others entangled, obstructed and stumbled them from running the race of faith in Jesus !

Loss of peace leads to fear of men . Fear of men leads to loss of the effectual use of Jesus name and authority.

We must always be in focus. Our focus is Jesus and Jesus Christ alone .

Fast and pray and reading the words of God keep us focused correctly. All the resources we need for a more than conqueror life are already given to us in the spiritual realm in Christ. Ephesians 1:3.

We do not war against flesh and blood. Those who allow their bodies or their minds and emotions to control them , they are mere men. No match for the spiritual enemies. They will let sin conquer them no matter how much they know in their mind and how hard they work in their body. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God . 1Co 2:14. To be carnally minded is death . Carnal mind is enmity against God. Romans 8:6-7.

Jesus said this plainly : It is the Spirit who gives life . The flesh (body , mind , emotion , five senses , natural laws , desires and efforts derived from these ) profits nothing. The words I speak to you , they are spirit, and they are life . John 6:63

We need to join to the Lord and be one spirit with Him. For we are members of His body , of His flesh , of His bone. Jesus is the vine and branches disconnected from Him are useless in the spiritual realm. All these refer to joining in our spirit to the Spirit of Christ . (1Co6:17;Ephesians 5:30; John 15:5 )

Fast and pray and reading the words of God keep us focused on Jesus and let the mind of Christ take charge over our mind, and indeed replace ours. The supernatural takes over. God with us and in us and for us.  Who can be against us ? Romans 8:31.

The Son of God manifests in us to destroy that works of the devil . Victory ensured. 1 John 3:8.

In summary : Fast to subdue the flesh. Pray in the Spirit to join to the Lord’s Spirit . Read the words of God to wash and cleanse (John 15:3; Ephesians 5:26), proclaim faith in the unseen God , know the will of God , as a sword of the Spirit, indeed , as full armor of God (Ephesians 6:13)

Further notes : when I personally obeyed and followed the leading of the Holy Spirit recently , I saw evidences of spiritual breakthroughs in those for whom I interceded. It’s worth the fast ! The Pentecost Sunday witnessed a mini revival in the spirit of slumbering men.

What hinders faith ?

Unbelief hinders signs, wonders , and miracles among the people of Jesus’ hometown. They were too familiar with his human family living there and so took offence that he could be so different from them.

Matthew 13:58 [Full Chapter]
Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Unbelief among the disciples hindered their work of faith. They had more than enough faith, even moving a mountain , but unbelief caused by looking at the physical and natural instead of the spiritual, had blocked them from using Jesus’ supernatural authority and power to heal and deliver the epileptic boy. The disciples still could not understand that they were dealing with the supernatural.

Matthew 17:20 [Full Chapter]
So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Unbelief in the spiritual is not normal. Jesus marveled at how come people could be so perversed when they persisted in looking at the physical world and treated it as all there was.

Mark 6:6 [Full Chapter]
And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.

How to overcome unbelief ? Be honest. Admit it. Cry out to God to help.

Mark 9:24 [Full Chapter]
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Unbelief is caused by hardness of heart. Yet Jesus was not detered by the unbelief of some disciples. He told them off. Then He also told them God’s good plan for them.

Mark 16:14 [Full Chapter]
[ The Great Commission ] Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

Unbelief of man cannot change God’s plan.

Romans 3:3 [Full Chapter]
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

Abraham’s positive example of walking by faith : he didn’t allow human natural unbelief to overcome him. He continued his faith walk that gave glory to God thereby having his faith strengthened.

Abraham, father of faith
Abraham, father of faith

Romans 4:20 [Full Chapter]
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

Others’ negative example : the Israelites couldn’t enter the promised land because of unbelief. Unbelief means unbelief in God. What a sin ! What a price they paid !

Hebrews 3:19 [Full Chapter]
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

grace abounded much more

God’s Much More – Pastor Sandra Kennedy

November 10, 2013       http://view.earthchannel.com/PlayerController.aspx?&PGD=wholelife&eID=32                                                              Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.                                            15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.                                                17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)            20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Today’s healing word: Be set Free!

Today’s healing word is be “Free”. Be free and be in divine health.

In John chapter eight, Jesus talks about how to be set free. Only Jesus can set free. Jesus is the Truth, the Son of God. The Truth sets a believer free from sins, free from sickness and disease,, free from oppressions and depressions, free from all bondages (body, soul, and spirit).

The Truth Shall Make You Free. Jesus is the Truth.

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

33 They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”

34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.

36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:1 [ Free from Indwelling Sin ] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Colossians 3:10-12 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;  hands raised

healing the sick world: love is the only way -Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Romans 8 (1-5; 26-39)

New Living Translation (NLT)

Life in the Spirit

1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit…

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.

Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love

31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 1:17

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 3:16-18

New Living Translation (NLT)

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

Hebrews 12:1-3

New Living Translation (NLT)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

Romans 5:8

New Living Translation (NLT)

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Ephesians 2:8

New Living Translation (NLT)

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

Jude 1:20-22

New Living Translation (NLT)

20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

22 And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering.

This is again the message on this eleventh hour, the issue of Jesus’ redemption, once and for all, for healing of our bodies, deliverance from oppressions and mind and emotional sufferings, and saving of our souls. The first key “No Condemnation” is of utmost importance. The reason why many healing rooms fail is because the ‘sick’ are made to feel condemned and had lapsed into using works and efforts to substitute the mighty work of the Holy Spirit. The healing gift of God is free as His Son had paid for all, by His own life. He shed His precious blood and had His body broken and pierced for us. There is nothing we can do to add even one bit more of the  chances of healing. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Grace means freely given undeserved favor from God. God has declared: there is none righteous before Him. Don’t be deceived to think that you need to deserve before you can be healed. The truth is, Jesus had healed you by His stripes (wounds) two thousand years ago! Receive now, by faith!

Romans 8

New King James Version (NKJV)

1. No condemnation – For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

2. Know we have Sonship Through the Spirit – the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

3. Expect suffering as heirs with Christ, and know that Glory far exceeds suffering. The Spirit of God helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us. God has called us according to His purpose and He causes all things to work for our good, for we love God.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

4. God’s Everlasting Love for us cannot be overridden. God is for us. Christ had died for us. Christ loves us. he makes intercession for us. Through His love, we are more than conquerors!

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christmas present from heaven: be saved! Be healed!

One Biblical way of celebrating this season is to read the whole Bible in one continuous sitting, from beginning to the end. Jesus said, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Reading the whole Bible together as a church (a group of Christians taking turn) would take about 72 hours depending on the language proficiency of those who read. While waiting for their turns the participants can sit around or rest anywhere within hearing distance. Be awed by the presence of the spiritual God. The Word is God. The Word became man as Jesus. Be transformed while you abide in Him and His words abide in you during this season of waiting upon the Lord as the ultimate celebration of Jesus’ birth. Let the Holy Spirit breathe life on you.

For those who gather together as one family or a few families (as in house church), you may choose to read the New testament only. It will take about 17-19 hours in one sitting. The result will be great for each participant. This is the best present you can receive from your heavenly Father! This blogger has done this on my own and it took me about a week, resting in between reading. Something broke through.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.   John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.  Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. 1 Peter 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.   John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
First verse of the Bible: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Last 2 verses of the Bible: Revelation 22:20-21 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

______________Luke 24:44-49 (highlight added by this watchman)

44 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ 48 You are witnesses of all these things.

49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

Amen. bible_study_candlelight
